Brian, Tony, and the lovely Chris were more then friendly, more then accommodating, more then helpful, and did a 5 star job on fixing up my old car. These are the folks to trust. I inherited my 2002 PT Cruiser 4 years ago. Hadn't had it in the shop for 3 and who knows when it was in the shop last before I inherited it. So, I knew there was going to be a laundry list of stuff to take care of. They did a maintenance inspection and then Chris worked with the guys to figure out the top 4 or 5 things that would be most important to get done. Had some issues with my transmission, which is still under warranty with the company that made it. Chris had no problem talking with my old Mechanic to find out about my transmission warranty so we could work out the best costs for the transmission work. I'm not fluent in "major Mechanic Talk", as I feel most people aren't, so I sincerely appreciate Chris taking the time to talk with them and to get stuff figured out. She and Brian both made it all the more easier to understand the issues with my car by taking their time talking with me as well. Again, sincerely appreciated. Even though we still have more work to do to get my car back to safer working order, it currently already sounds better and feels better then when I took it in. Brian made sure I had a few tips to keep it happy till we can get it back in and take care of some of what's left on the list. These are best folks I have done business with since I moved her 2 years ago and maybe ever. Last week I was staying with my friend when I woke up Monday morning to leave from work from her house and found that my car was running really funny. It was not normal for it to run this way. So I called around to a couple of shops in the Antioch area. Not many of them seemed very happy to get my business but when I called Auto Diagnostics Chris asked me a couple questions to see what was wrong with the car. Told me that if I brought down the car they would diagnose what was wrong for sure and let me know the cost and time to repair the car. I brought the car to them and they called me with an hour and a half to let me know what was wrong and the cost. I explained to Chris that I would be happy to do the work as long as I could get the car back within 2 days ( She was estimating that it would take 2-3 days) I explained to her that I had to get to work in Oakland by Thursday for an important meeting. She told me she would give it her best possible shot to get it done in 2 days but she did remind me that sometimes something happens. Which I really appreciated her being honest. Not only did they get the car done in 1 day but it runs even better than before I took it to them. I will recommend any body that is in the Antioch area to get there car worked on here. They do the needed repair and then check your car to see what other repairs you may need at that time or in the future. They leave it up to you to decided what you want to do. You are given a print out with the diagnosis, how much it will cost, and you are free to get it done when you are able just make an appointment and they will take good care of you. I have been a faithful customer for going on two years. Brian is the most trustworthy person I know in automotive industry in Antioch. Firstly, I owe the folks at Auto Diagnostic & Repair in Antioch a huge apology for not getting to write my review of their services until now - especially since they earned an A+ from me from beginning to end. I called a few places for a repair that I needed asap, but as soon as Brian answered my call at Auto Diagnostic, not only did I know by Brian's friendly professionalism that it would be the best place to bring my vehicle, but Brian was also able to get me the soonest appointment out of all the places that I called. The excellent service continued after I brought my vehicle in, when I was greeted warmly by all, and all was explained to me. I decided to wait while the work was done, and could not help smiling, as every single person who came into the shop was treated with genuine warmth and friendliness - so much so that it almost seemed that the staff knew everyone who came in. The work to my vehicle was done super quickly, and I was sent on my way. I was even offered a rose (the shop's tradition) as I left. I'm surprise only one person has left a review! I totally agree with everything Illiena said.. I was calling around doing price range comparison for an EVAP test and found them to be the best priced and after looking at their website I made an appointment. Right from the start they have GREAT customer service, they did the test, fixed the problem, checked over my car, noted things that could be done BUT did NOT try to over sell (loved that!) and the shop area is kept very nice. They have a referral program, they also have a package you can buy for car services that is great and saves you $$$! I also saw they offer a payment program but I dont know the details of that. AND after I paid I got a rose (in which I told my boyfriend he needed to take notes!) Another example of the awesome customer service.. I had this service done last week and I just received a call from them making sure I was happy with the service and if I had any more questions.. I've never had an Auto Shop do that! I had such a great experience with Auto Diagnostic & Repair in Antioch! From the very first phone call, their customer service was amazing. They were friendly, professional, answered their phone, and were always easy to get ahold of. When I brought my truck in, they even had a shuttle available to take me home while they looked into the issue. They ended up finding out that the repair was something they couldn't handle due to certain Toyota-specific conditions with the part. Instead of trying to take my money anyway, they were completely honest and recommended that I take my truck directly to Toyota to have the service done. They didn't charge me anything, and I actually gave them a tip because I truly appreciated their honesty and integrity. You don't always come across businesses that are willing to turn away money and point you in the right direction. Everyone I dealt with was incredibly nice, helpful, and professional. I have been going to this same place for years, when it was owned by Randy. I have tried many other places through my time of owning cars and I can tell you that these folks here are the ones you want working on your car. I think it has been at least 10 years since I found this auto repair shop, I put 100% of my faith in what they tell me and believe them when they tell me something. Recently I have been bringing my 2000 ford escort to them and I just drove 30 miles just for them to check out my car, which was making a funny noise and the check engine light came on. I have never done business with such an upstanding establishment ever. I now live in Hercules and will always drive the distance just have Scott and Cindy's crew look at my car. Minor or major it doesn't matter I will never take my car to another place willingly. Honest, truthful, always pays attention to what you tell them, and very experienced to work on your car. Took my vehicle to Auto Diagnostic and Repair for basic service for the first time. I am an out of townee and was passing through as my Maintenance Light came on. I saw their shop and pulled in. I was greeted nicely from the start and asked to fill out their paper work. As I finished, the Service person asked me a few questions regarding my vehicle and proceeded to complete the write up. I was told it would be a while before they can service my vehicle because they had other cars before mine. They offered to take me into town while i waited. As soon as they finished the repairs, I was called and they came back and picked me up. I was also given a write up sheet of recommendations and what was expected to meet the factory requirements for my warranty. At the end they gave me some referral cards to pass to my friends which gives them some services for free as i was going to reefer them. How nice is that. Everyone wins with this Shop. If I could give these guys 10 stars, I would!!! I had a problem with my car and I took it to a different place. After a week of not getting anywhere with the car, I told them that they either needed to tell me what the problem was or I'd have to bring it somewhere else. They had no answers for me so I brought it to Auto Diagnostics. They had to trace out the problem wire by wire which took a while but they kept me updated constantly on all of their progress and how much everything was costing. Scott did an excellent job of keeping me up-to-date daily on all of the progress that they were making and I really appreciated being able to speak directly to the mechanic that worked on my car, I can't remember his name.... but he took the time to answer all of my questions and explain exactly what he did in detail. These guys are awesome and I couldn't recommend them enough! They are a 10 in my book! read more

I would give them many more stars if I could. I typically do my own mechanical work at home when my vehicles have issues or just need general maintenance. The other day, I was coming home from a hunting trip, my Tahoe broke down. The issue it was having was way beyond what I could figure out on the side of the road. I had my Tahoe towed here, they welcomed me very quickly. Took notes on issues I experienced as I broke down. I was told they would check it all out and get back to me. The entire staff was very professional and friendly. They even offer shuttle service, they will drop you off if you need a ride home and pick you up after service. They quickly found the issue with my Tahoe. Came and picked me up from home. My Tahoe is back in the road and runs perfect!! I highly recommend this place! Thank you very much! read more

Good day and I have been meaning to post this review for some time now. My Dodge Ram truck was having under the hood issues and there is nothing more frustrating than worry about if you are going to make it from point A to point B and point C and point D. As a manager of properties for Northern California, I drive a bit and need that cushion of comfort with a reliable vehicle. I recently availed myself of the services of an auto diagnostic center to have my car serviced. The facility offered me a comprehensive range of services, including a transmission flush, spark plug replacement, cabin air filter removal, brake fluid flush, and a significant fuel system service. I was pleased to see Charlie return, who had been absent for some time. Charlie's amenable and courteous personality has always put me at ease, and I know he is a valuable asset to the facility. I highly recommend this shop! My car's brakes were in really bad shape and needed replacement. I dropped my car off in the morning, and they quickly diagnosed the issue and had everything repaired the very same day. What really stood out to me was their reasonable pricing and the fact that they offer payment plans, which made the repair process much less stressful. They also provide a shuttle service, which was a huge plus and made getting around while my car was being worked on very convenient. The team clearly knows what they're doing. I have been bringing my cars to auto diagnostic for years and have found that they are very honest and up front with the cost of things that are repaired or replaced. If there is a cheaper way to replace an item I have always been given the choice of using that or not and the shop as always given me the options and why the prices are different, so that I can make the choice of the work or parts used. They have always given the fastest service possible and have helped speed thing up as needed. I have brought cars in that I was thinking buying and found that they pin pointed any problems and the dealers have fixed those on the shopped reccomendations I think that anyone would be to have this shop to work on their cars. read more

Thank you so much for taking the worry out of getting my car fixed. As a female with very little knowledge in cars I'm always afraid to take my car into a mechanic for fear that they will take advantage of me. My experience at Auto Diagnostic and Repair was excellent. They were friendly, honest and fast. My Air Conditioner was broken and blowing hot air. In Antioch the summers are brutal with the heat. I took the car in to see if they could fix it and they were totally upfront about the whole experience. They recharged the air conditioner and added a dye to the system so that if it leaked in the future they could see the problem. I have a 2001 Mercury Mountaineer that has over 336,000 miles. I went to work and could not put my car in park. The gear shift handle was loose. I called Brian and he said bring it in as soon as I could. With in an hour they had found the problem and had the new part on the way. Not bad considering they were looking for parts for a 22 year car. Don't tell them but I was charged only half of what I was expecting. So I added an oil change and new wipers. They also did their 37 point safety check to make sure my vehicle was in top running and safe condition. I won't take either of my vehicles anywhere else. Highly recommended! read more

Best Shop Ever!!!! Had my car in at several other shops in town that charged me and never fixed the problem. Took my car here for the first time and they fixed it.
