My son has been going here for his BMW maintenance and highly recommended them. I took my 530E PHEV BMW to them found their mechanic to be extremely knowledgeable. He quickly figured out why our car was not charging at home. Somebody had put a tractor battery in place of the battery that should have been used. The mechanic swapped it out for a reasonable price and now I'm able to charge my car at home. Since the car was in the shop for a little longer than they had promised, Steve offered a small discount without being asked. He also informed us of recalls and directed us to the Fairfiekd dealership instead of the local one, which does not have the best reputation. Steve checked the tires for issues as well. Bush Motors saved the day. BMW dealer in Concord missed a broken coolant container, would not help out. I looked up a locally owned BMW shop and found Bush Motors. They were incredibly nice, understanding and helpful. My car is running fine, they also found good pricing for the replacement piece my car needed. Other plus, my BMW X1 was not passing smog check, at one point and Bush Motors found a dealer repair that should be covered. Long story not a recall but unless you are car savvy you won't know the automaker covers a replacement. Went to BMW in Concord with a sheep explaining the free replacement that is warranted (printed by Bush motors) as always the dealer wanted to charge and would not take the diagnosis I got from Bush, thankfully they were on point in the free replacement so BMW fixed the part. Do support local, my experience with Bush Motors is a reminder that there are still good people in this world who care for you, for your safety in my case and is not like corporate who just want money. read more

Our X3 was overheating on Friday afternoon of Labor Day weekend, and Steve was not just responsive, but very helpful with a quick preliminary diagnosis (we got there about closing time of a holiday weekend). He followed up over the holiday weekend, and finished the needed repairs (water pump and thermostat) quickly. The price was fair and actually even quite a bit less than we had expected. I have an almost new Mercedes C300 and somehow my battery went out. It happened to go out as I was due for an oil change B1 service. The dealership quoting me $799 for the B1 service because my prepaid services expired my last service. They also quoted me close to $700 for the battery replacement and installation. I typically only go to the dealership but my dad assured me that it was safe to go to a dealership who specializes in European cars. I am so grateful I searched Yelp and found Bush Motors Works. I brought my 2014 e350 to Steve for oil change, transmission service, change spark plug, and radiator flush.. all done in cheap quote. After few days, leak from transmission pan was dripping due to own fault as parts I provided for them was defective. Without hesitation, Steve and Matt redo and replace original parts without additional charge. They are awesome. I've always said, sometimes the best businesses don't even sell you anything. I brought my E46 M3 in here to diagnose a loud sound coming from the engine. (Vanos, timing chain, solenoids, who knows) Steve he would get to it as soon as he could (and man, he had a lot of BMW's in his garage). Steve called me back within a day, and said said he had checked the engine codes, and "x" was the issue. However, because he backs all his work up with his own money, he said he wasn't confident that he could address the issues I had with absolute certainty, and stated he didn't want to put me or him in an even worse situation. He then gave me a few recommendations of some shops that specialize in M's. RESPECT. Because in a world where some mechanics are eager to take in everything, and try and fix everything, regardless of their experience or confidence level, it's refreshing to know that someone actually cares that everything is copacetic with their customers. So Steve didn't sell my anything, except confidence in him, that If my BMW (or any future BMWs) had any issues, he is the first mechanic I whole heatedly trust in taking a look at my car to let me know what to do. My wife and I have been coming to Bush Motor Works now for over 6 Years. We are a BMW family, having a 645ci Convertible, X-5 and X-1. Whenever the engine light comes on, we head down to Bush Motor Works for a evaluation of the vehicle. My 645ci had been sitting for a while, I knew I needed front struts but wasn't ready to spend all that $$$, but it was time. I took my 645ci in for evaluation. Not only did it need struts, it needed Control arms, and a water pump. Matt was very comprehensive in explaining to me what he found, and made adequate recommendations to resolve not only these issues, but replacement of hoses, weather stripping around my windshield, and re-installation of my rear view mirror that bracket had stripped out. They've been straight shooters with me from day 1, almost 3 years ago, which is more than I can say about the people I purchased my car from. I've had a couple repairs done here and I'll tell you the owner Steve is a very fair, ethical, works with a sense of integrity, honest, and really understands what the lifetime investment in a customer means versus a one-time transaction. The shop has great repair prices, especially compared to the dealership. They do good work but I've never had such a positive experience anywhere else like I've had with Bush Motor Works. This is a shop you do not have to worry about getting ripped-off or taken advantage of based on my dealings with them and Steve the owner. They take their time to explain issues and solutions. I'm definitely more than a fan now. I won't be going anywhere else for my car needs. UPDATE: Brought my car back for a second time. Spoke to Steve, but worked mainly with Anthony. First time working with him and he's super nice. He knows we're all looking to cut costs, but he also believes in using good parts. Needless to say, I am very sure I saved a ton getting work done here, than at a dealership. This time, I had my front brakes done, which Steve and I discussed before when he replaced my rear brakes and changed my oil. I also got my right front passenger window fixed. It seemed like the motor was dying. It began moving slow and making noises. It actually got stuck just days before, and attempting to force it up by hand and pressing the button, did not work. And it made no noise when pushing on the button. Both Anthony and Steve were able to force it up so I didn't have to drive around with an open window all day. I brought my car in the next morning. Anthony saw me and called me by name. With all the customers they have, I know it's hard to remember everyone's name and face, but he did and that was pretty cool. To be honest, Concord BMW is literally walking distance from my work. They were quick to quote me a price for the part (which was insanely expensive), but would never get back to me on how long it would take, or how much labor would be. They stated that their labor rates varied on the type of work being done on a vehicle. And of course, they were quick to wanting me to set an appointment, but NEVER got back to me on a total price. Once again, my experience at Bush Motor Works has been awesome. I was treated like a person, and not just some customer they're getting money from. For someone who normally has her husband work on her vehicles, I feel very comfortable having this crew work on my car. I'll be back in a couple of months for a tune-up. read more

It is very hard to find a good BMW mechanic much less a great one and Bush Motor Works is among the great! My wife and I both have had BMWs for years. Since moving to the area a couple of years ago we found so okay shops, but always seems pricey and many didn't use OEM parts, which we always request. When I first brought my BMW to Steve he was a no nonsense guy. I wasn't sure but decided to trust him and his team. Sure enough he was able to get our vehicles repaired and at a great price. We've had a lot of work done since then and in fact my convertible has been in there recently with an electrical issue that was draining the battery. They identified the issue and put me back into my fun to drive 330ci convertible again! And my wife just started a new job this past Monday.
