Update in response to the owner's reply: I was present for both the drop off and pickup of the vehicle and directly involved in the entire experience. Attempting to discredit my review based on whether I physically walked into the office at every interaction is misleading and irrelevant to the actual issue. The issue remains the same: we paid for what was discussed as a complete diagnostic report specialized for this type of vehicle, and that is not what was ultimately provided. I also want to correct the owner's statement implying that I contacted the business offering to remove my review in exchange for a refund. That is not accurate. After my review was posted, the business directly contacted us and asked for the review to be removed in connection with offering a refund to resolve the situation. As of now, no refund has been received or posted despite that offer being made. I think that speaks for itself. My review was simply my honest experience and opinion regarding the diagnostic/report and communication during and afterward. I had work done on my Sprinter 2500 for transmission problems. Front desk gal was friendly enough, but Ian (the manager) really lacks communication skills. This place gave me an incorrect diagnosis on my Mercedes 300. They told me I needed a new fuel tank which would have cost me close to $5000. Went to the Mercedes dealership in W.C. and received a completely different diagnosis. Just needed a new fuel pump due to minor leakage and oil housing fixture. Saved a couple thousand dollars going to the dealership, which shocked me as I always thought dealerships cost more than local shops. Two stars because the customer service at EB AH was excellent. Not sure if it was just a misdiagnosis on their part or they were tryna get more money outta me. We cannot trust your entire business model if you only post the reviews you choose to post. I had an issue with the front end of my wife's ML 350. I have been a long time customer of East Bay Autohaus but I had taken this car to two other independent Mercedes repair shops to correct this issue (because they were closer to my home). They had my car for over a month trying to fix this problem. They kept "replacing parts" but they could not fix the problem. I went to East Bay Autohaus to visit Ian and Tiffany. They were very welcoming and professional. We went for a test drive together so they could listen to and feel my complaint. They went to work and the next afternoon I got a phone call that the car was fixed. I test drove the car and sure enough, it was fixed. No parts replaced, just good old fashioned old school mechanic work. I love this place! I will never stray again... I am a customer of East Bay Autohaus for life! read more

Worst service. Rude bellowing, belligerent owner was very disrespectful. Owner yelled after questioning them about an auxiliary cord was ripped out of socket. It wasn't so much about the cord but the way the owner handled the situation - he turned into a bear and "yelled I'm not paying for that ---! I was shocked and offended. It was so rude. Mechanic had to step in and calm him down and offered to take a look at my car. He found Aux cord and I just left. It was scary. Don't waste your time. Service is sub par and not worth it trying to support local business. Very disrespectful. I was appalled he would treat a - repeat customer - like that. Needs professionalisms training. read more
