I don't understand where all these reviews are coming from, I normally take my Lexus to the…read moredealership to get my oil change but I thought i would try somewhere new so i wouldn't have to make an appointment and drive the distance, I trusted the reviews on this place but the person who helped me barely spoke with me on my needs and then after they completed my oil change and I parked at my house oil leaked on my driveway. I called and the manager simply said it's probably residual and just bring it in in the morning bro, like that's ok and that my driveway is now dirty with oil and talking disrespectfully and not caring. Now I hope it's not going to keep leaking and i don't even trust they put the proper synthetic oil in it. I would definitely NOT recommend this place!!!! Not sure what all these good reviews are about, I'll probably have to go get it checked at the dealership and make sure they didn't mess anything up! Very disappointed!!!! Sloppy work, unprofessional, careless and wouldn't necessarily say courteous. Do not trust this place! I just checked on my car and there are still leak spots coming down. Update: I did go back to allow them to make things right and had them check my car, they did assure me there was no leak coming from the oil change and did clean up some of the residual oil that spilled over, which an employee admitted to overpouring the oil when filling it. Everything was fine until the owner showed up, I thought to apologize but no to argue with me and even claim that I had a previous oil leak it turns out even though I have never had a drop of oil spill on my driveway since I have had this car in 7 years, but apparently for her it is ok to have oil from what they admitted was from over filling the oil, she continued to state that she is happy that she will not have to deal with me and my business anymore so did not really care about my concerns, with this type of customer service from an owner who would want to even do business with this place. Here is an updated picture of the oil that dripped after getting home and overnight, luckily, I parked my car on the street and put this cardboard underneath, otherwise this would have been all over my driveway, which the owner saw no issue with this type of workmanship. I wish you luck on rolling the dice and going here!

It is unfortunate that I am having to write this…read more On June 25, 2025, I had service done at this Brakemasters location on my Land Rover. They replaced the harmonic balancer, idler pulley, serpentine belt, and performed an oil change. On August 27, 2025, my car stalled out with no power and had to be towed back. That Friday morning, the shop told me they could not figure it out and asked me to tow it elsewhere. I did. The new mechanic immediately discovered that when Brakemasters replaced the harmonic balancer, the repair had not been done correctly--the bolt could literally be removed by hand. This caused the part to slip, leading to catastrophic engine damage. I attempted to resolve this directly with the store. I spoke with Curtis, who was dismissive, rude, and adamant that no mistake had been made. On September 2, 2025, I reached out to corporate and spoke with Christian Smith, who returned my call on September 3. He apologized, explained in detail what had happened, and admitted liability. He assured me Brakemasters would "make this right" and that my engine would be replaced either through their corporate account or insurance. Unfortunately, Brakemasters opted to turn this over to Nationwide Insurance, which now wants to total my car. That option does not make me whole--it leaves me without a vehicle and does not even cover the payoff balance. On September 9, I again contacted Christian, making it clear that a payout would not resolve this issue and that I simply needed the repair done. Since then, corporate has completely ghosted me. On September 11, Nationwide informed me that Brakemasters would no longer respond or engage with me and that they would only "settle" through insurance. To this day, Brakemasters has not refunded the money I paid for the faulty repair, nor have they taken responsibility for correcting the damage their negligence caused. My car has now been sitting at another mechanic's shop for over three weeks. This is not how you fix a mistake. This is not ethical business practice. I did not want to post negatively, but I've been forced to. This matter is being reported to the Better Business Bureau, the Arizona Attorney General, and the Texas Attorney General. It is astounding to me that a company can cause this kind of damage, openly admit fault, then abandon the customer entirely. Brakemasters has done nothing to make this right.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! I WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS!…read more On 8/5/2026, I took my car to the Firestone at 7240 N. Mesa St., El Paso, TX, for an appointment to have my AC inspected and serviced. I knew something was wrong with it, but I wasn't sure what the issue was. After performing their initial diagnostic, I was told that a valve was leaking due to normal wear and tear and needed to be replaced. I was also told they would recharge the AC system and that, after the repair, my AC would be good to go. The total cost was $415, so I agreed to the work. I waited for four hours. When they finally came back to me, they told me they had emptied and refilled the refrigerant, but then determined that my AC expansion valve needed to be replaced because it was clogged. They quoted me over $500 more. I asked whether the $500+ was the new total or an additional charge. They told me it was additional because they would have to empty and refill the refrigerant again. I asked why the clogged valve wasn't identified before they refilled the system the first time. Their explanation was that they had to refill it first in order to determine whether the valve needed to be replaced. At that point, I told them I would not be having any additional work done there and left. Unfortunately, my AC was actually working worse than it had been when I arrived. Two days later, I took my car to a local mechanic for a second opinion. He asked me whether Firestone had told me they recharged the AC system. I said yes and explained that I had paid for that service. He then checked the system and told me there was ZERO refrigerant in it. According to him, there should have still been refrigerant in the system if it had actually been properly recharged. He also inspected the AC expansion valve and told me that the valve was fine. The reason the AC wasn't working was because there was no refrigerant in the system. I am extremely disappointed by my experience with Firestone, both with the quality of the service and what I feel was a serious lack of honesty and transparency. I was charged for work that, according to the mechanic who inspected my car afterward, had not actually been completed. I was then told I needed to pay an additional $500+ for a repair that turned out not to be necessary. As a woman, I also can't help but feel that they took advantage of the situation. It's the middle of summer in El Paso, I needed my AC fixed, and I was relying on them to be honest about what was wrong with my vehicle. Instead, I left feeling like I had been taken advantage of because of my circumstances. The amount they ultimately wanted me to spend was so high that I could have nearly replaced the entire AC system in my car for that price. Thankfully, I found a local mechanic who took the time to properly inspect my vehicle and, most importantly, treated me fairly and honestly. I will NEVER take my car to another Firestone again. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to expensive repairs here. UPDATE: I did submit a complaint through their corporate website. I was reached out to a few days later and have since been fully refunded. They said they would check to make sure their machines are calibrated correctly and speak with the tech to see what happened during the service.
