So here is my story: Back in August, while mowing grass a car window got broken. It needed to be fixed so we knew of a guy in Greenville, Achey Breaky Glass, and called them. The owner, Finley Turner, was nice, prompt and called me back almost immediately with price and said he had to get glass from Dallas but would do so and then come to our location to put it in. We agreed. He did exactly what he said, got, came and installed. Very professional and seemed to be very honest. Chapter 2: Not so pleasant! Seems the name should be changed to Jekyll & Hyde Glass after my week of frustration! Called Mr. Achey Breaky Glass on Monday, he got price for windshield and called me back to say he would get it and install it the same day. Great, we were thrilled. Then he called to say he was a little short on money and could I pay for some of it in advance. Again, as is my nature, you did me right the first time so I agreed to give him some cash to get my windshield. We met, gave him the cash and parted ways with him going to get glass and would call me when he got back. Long story short, after placing 22 calls to him over 5 days getting nothing on most and I'll be there in 30 minutes on the 4 times he did answer. Then, he just ignored my calls. I then called from wife's phone, he answered right away, I asked about my windshield, he said 30 minutes! I said you have been telling me that for a week, he promptly hung up on me! Word of mouth can be great or can be detrimental to to a business. Please share this with all of your friends in the Greenville area. DO NOT CALL THIS PERSON OR THIS COMPANY FOR YOU GLASS, YOU COULD END UP LIKE ME, RIPPED OFF!!

American auto glass in Greenville, Texas. U.S.A assured me they could install the door windows and…read morenew window weather strip on my 1970's Chevy truck. I trusted them to do the job right the first time because they said they knew how to install them. That is questionable at this point. When they initially came out, I agreed to pay them $150, but I thought that was for it to be done correctly. They were in a rush to do/ finish the job and they were done in 30 min or less. That type of job cannot be completed correctly in 30 min and it wasn't. I didn't realize the windows were not in correctly until days later when the urethane dried and I was able to attempt to roll them down. The windows were glued in the channel in a bind, glued to the molding on the door edge, were installed incorrectly and would not roll up and down as they should. The weather strip that was designed to fit on the outside of the door frame, was also jammed up into the channel, which took me several hours to remove. It is obvious that these guys didn't know what they were doing. I contacted them as soon as I noticed they were in wrong and I also contacted the owner (Robert) over a month ago to see if they would come back and fix the problem- they said they would. I have contacted him many times to fix them and he kept telling me as soon as he got time. Now, a month later --10-14-2019, they are telling me they need the truck at their shop to fix it. excuse after excuse. If they would have taken their time to do it right the first time, I wouldn't be wasting my time trying to get it fixed. Very poor customer service. I would not recommend these HALF ASSERS to anyone. They will get your money and then make up excuses on why the window won't work OR why they can't come back to fix it so it will work as it should.

I want to say this is my second windshield installed by this company. They do a FANTASTIC job!!!!!…read more I have OCD and they were so careful not to scratch my jeep. It look like a difficult job installing the windshield. So anyone needing a new windshield, CALL this company. ESPECIALLY Jeep Wrangler owners. They are not window installers. They harken back to the days of American Craftsmen.

I bought a backup/dash cam for my van from Amazon, and working with these guys to get it installed…read morewas a good experience. They didn't do anything I didn't ask them to do; scheduling was easy, and they finished in the time they expected to finish (or close enough that I can't remember a difference). When we ran into a problem with the cabling that came with my cameras being too short, they tried extending in the shop at my direction. That didn't work, so I was able to get a replacement and extension cable from the supplier, and they put that new cable in for me at no charge. The labor rates are reasonable. Before doing this I thought about going to another town to get this done because of the 1-star review, but now I don't think that's necessary. That review is unrepresentative of my experience.
