A small rock got kicked up and hit my windshield while we were driving on the highway in Arizona. It caused a small crack in the windshield. Tried arranging a repair eith Safelite in the Phoenix area, but no appointments were available. Easily made an appointment for Monday morning. Was impressed how much this location kept reminding me of my appointment. Arrived a few minutes early. Wendy greeted me and wslked me to my car to examine the crack. I dud send them a picture ahead of time, but they need to make sure it hadn't grown. I was there less than 30 minutes and tge crack was repaired. You have to know what you are looking for to even see where the crack had been. My car insurance covered 100% of the repair. read more

Horrible service. Went for a crash wrap, they didn't even vacuum the glasses in my truck. Got 3 windows replaced. They left glass inside the door panel, didn't even bother to vacuum it. The front windshield wasn't even sealed as I took it to the car wash a week after service and water leaked all inside of my truck. Horrible Experience !!! My first experience with this business was relatively good, as can be seen from my initial review. We had a cracked windshield, we brought it in, and it was replaced. No Problem. The second time I went here, however, it was a terrible experience. I'm not going to go into a lot of ancillary details, what I will say is that I drove my car away from this business and within a few minutes my new windshield started to make all kinds of noise. Obviously, this means that it was installed incorrectly. I tried to call the business several times on the number provided on the receipt, but nobody answered, and there was no answering machine on their system. It would just ring for a while and then disconnect. I also texted the person who I had communicated with previously about my car, at this business, but no response. Finally, when I got home, and the windshield continued to make a lot of noise, I contacted their main customer service line. From there, one of their representatives contacted the business and they set it up so I could bring the car back the next day to be re-repaired. Here's where it gets even more annoying. I take my car back to the shop, which is quite far from where I live. I get there at 8:00 AM. The employee who helped me the day before, who was a very cordial individual, takes a look at my car, immediately understands the problem, but tells me he can't help me because the Quality Control Manager is not there on Saturday. What? Then why was I scheduled to return on Saturday? I am told by this man that the problem is, they use aftermarket glass and aftermarket molding and sometimes this creates a problem. My question is, if you know there is a possible problem with the replacement parts you use, why use them? Moreover, this is a windshield and auto glass replacement business, if their employees do not know how to correctly install a windshield, should they be an employee at all? I was sent to this business by my insurance company after a rock hit my windshield on the freeway. I am sure most people come to Safelite guided by their insurance company. So, I doubt this review will have any affect on their overall business flow. For me, I am left with a very poorly completed job. My windshield is making a lot of noise! I had my entire windshield replaced on December 31, 2025, through my insurance (State Farm), and I paid about $570 out of pocket. Unfortunately, just two weeks later, the windshield developed a small bullseye crack. When I contacted Safelite, I was told it wasn't covered. I ended up purchasing a repair kit from Amazon and fixing it myself. Now, two months later (February 27), the windshield has developed another crack--this time much larger. I understand that cracks can happen from road debris, but having two cracks within two months of installing brand-new glass is very concerning. My previous Honda OEM windshield lasted about three years and endured plenty of road debris before finally cracking. In comparison, this replacement glass seems far less durable. I can't help but wonder about the quality of the glass that was used. In hindsight, I wish I had gone directly to Honda for an original OEM windshield. Scheduled a service appointment through my insurance to get my windshield replaced after an object hit my glass. Service was completed within a couple hours. I picked up my car and all I checked was the windshield which seemed like it was installed just fine. However, I didn't think to check the body of the car until I got home and noticed all this black residue that would not come off with a wet towel. I had to call the technician and returned to the shop so they could remove all the stains. It was poor workmanship and unacceptable. The tech apologized but that's no excuse for not checking the vehicle before having it picked up. I returned home once again to find a couple tiny chipped paint areas on my hood along w scuffed areas. I scheduled a warranty service appt for the following weekend. When I arrived the front desk lady came out to inspect the hood and took photos with her phone. Proceeds to be "honest" with me and tells me safelite won't take responsibility for it because during the replacement, the tech placed a cover on the hood. It's hard to believe that. She said she would send the photos and my request for pre inspection and post inspection photos to some quality manager person. Since that day, I have called safelite to follow up at least four times and they kept saying they would let the shop know and that I'd hear from them. Never received an email w the requested photos or a follow up call from the shop or safelite. It's been such a pain to deal with them. I made an appointment for 2/19/2026 for my 2017 BMW M2, when I set up the appointment I placed it on the online portal when my cars information came up the quote for a new windshield with the premium service was $579.80 with calibration which I paid ahead of the appointment due to it would be cheaper than going through insurance. Today is 2/18/2026 I called to see if maybe someone may have cancelled they're appointment and see if could possibly get it done today, which they did not, but throughout the conversation with the representative on the phone (Misty) I asked how much the OEM glass would be to get, that's when she looked into and saw that they had ordered the wrong windshield for my bmw from THEIR system. She then let me know that the actual cost was $1099 for the OEE windshield and that if I went to the appointment I was still to be charged the remainder of around $520 dollars. I had mentioned I had already prepaid the price that was on my original quote for the service. And I asked if they could honor it since that's what was advertised to me, mind you I have shopped around before I decided to go safelite. She transferred me to the location store to speak to an actual rep at the facility. I explained the situation about THEIR issue with ordering the wrong windshield and they flat out told me they could not and had the audacity to just tell me to go through my insurance. At this point I'm upset and bothered, I cancelled the appointment and requested a refund for the service that was ALREADY PAID for. I took my business today to AutoGlassNow in Gardena was less than safelites swindle price of $1099 and provided the same if not better service and calibrated the ADAS system for a fraction of the price. Attention business owners with work van fleets After my work van was broken into I set up an appointment with safelite of Gardena. Worried they might not bring the right piece of glass I called and talk to their supposed customer service representative and very clearly let them know what glass to bring. The following day Jaun showed up and immediately told me he didn't bring the right piece of glass. Frustrated I ask if he could get the glass, he laughed and said not today. I then asked to speak to his supervisor. Again he laughed and said ok. He called Wendi isefuku at store #5913. She said she might be able to get out in a day or 2. I obviously became upset and said that wasn't acceptable. She then said f*** this guy just leave. Now I get how frustrating dealing with people, especially upset folks can be, because I deal with this regularly. Worst customer service and very unprofessional. Went in 2 days ago for a 5 mm chipped windshield. They said it was easily repairable. After 10 min technician came out with a 25 inch full Crack saying it happens. No apologies, and no explanations. Took me to receptionist and said they can schedule me for $1350 full windshield replacement. Made me feel like they did this on purpose to make $175 repair to $1350 repairable. I have been calling your office last three days since Monday but no one answers. I was told that the manager, Wendi, will call me last week by the lady sitting in front desk on last Saturday to follow up. Since one one answer the phone, I called the Safelight warranty department multiple times also to request to get hold of you but they were not able to get through either. However, they told me an appointment was made to do a work and it seems some kind of parts have been ordered. Although they can't verify what it is they recommended to take my car back. I can't believe even the Safelite warranty department can not get hold of you. I notified Geico, my auto insurance company, about it. Since I had a great experience my first time, I knew they were the ones to call. I was able to go through my insurance which was only $250 out of pocket for me. I was able to easily make an appointment. I dropped off my car in the morning, and iwas ready mid-day. My windshield is great! Safelite repair safelite replace jingle was helpful reminder when I needed repair! Don't you just hate that when that tiny rock hits your windshield and causes a crack right smack in the middle! Worst if it breaks the whole windshield! Either way, it's not a good experience but it happens. There were 2 cracks on my windshield and I checked on Safelite website. You can schedule appointments online and enter information about your car (yeah get those information on hand). Then it asks how many cracks you got on your windshiedl and approximate how big they are. Then at the end gives you an idea how much it will cost. Can be pricey if you pay it out of pocket or have your insurance take care of it. The Avalon location was clean and customer service was good in my opinion. The technician (who's name I don't recall right now...you know senior moments) was thorough in explaining the process of what will be done and expectations thereafter. It took only around 40 minutes to finish the whole job and billing was processed easily. Experience here was good and will bring the other car for repair...yeah those stones during travel can be a hazard! read more

I had a terrible experience with this Safelite location. I have used Safelite in the past and was very pleased with the service and I have even recommended them to friends. However, I had a bad experience this last January. I had an approximate 12-inch crack on my truck windshield. I called Safelite and expected the usual expert service. However, that was not to be. When the technician arrived the first thing he said was if there was a lot of rust, he might have a hard time so did I still want him to continue? I have no way to determine how much rust was there under the sealing, so I said go ahead. He struggled to remove the glass and then just resorted to breaking the window. He then said that he couldn't fix it and he said that I would still have to pay anyway. After he phoned his boss, he said i would not have to pay and he just left me with my broken windshield. He drove away with a tool left under my engine hood which he returned and retrieved. I called the Gardena store and a woman who i assumed was a manager said that the technician warned me that if i had some rust it wold be difficult to repair so instead of a 12 inch crack I had a completly broken windshield, I asked a local mechanic for help and he reccomended a private contractor who came by and expertly fixed my windshield. The experience i had with this Safelite was horrible and disappointing. It just shows that a company is only as good as its service workers. read more

So I received an email that Safelite had not Calibrated my front safety camera and I should come in ASAP or my life could be in danger and I could not trust my safety system. Although my safety System seemed to be working fine, after about the third alarming email, I made an appointment and came in anyways. Was told it was about 30-45 minutes tops. Well after about 2 1/2 hours of sitting in the lobby the guy comes outs and says, "your car does not have a camera to calibrate, only sensors" which are fine which is exactly what I had been noticing when I drove. So WTH!!!! What a waste of follow up time with these dudes!!!!! The receptionist (African American girl) was much nicer than the Saturday girl for sure. About the only positive. Big SMDH. The mobile guy couldn't make it (defective equipment) so I went back online again to make another appt. Best they could do was have me take the car to the shop and plan a 3 hr. wait for the repalr. Said no mobile service was available in a timely manner. I gave 1 star to Safelite because there were no minus ratings which is what they deserve. I got this rock chip on my 2024 Honda CR-V Sport Hybrid front windshield. I was lucky as the chip didn't create a spyder crack. I visited the Safelite website and scheduled a home repair service. It was quick and easy to do and provided an estimate of the total repair. Safelite dispatched a repair technician to my home on the date specified during the online appointment. Chris was very professional and called first thing in the morning to let me know how many appointments he had before me. He even called to let me know that he was on his way to my home. When he arrived, he explained the process as well as, potential issues that could arise during the repair. I believe they use a pressurized resin that is pushed into the chip. Followed by a UV type light to help harden and seal the chip. The entire process was quick and the job was complete in about 30 minutes. I arrived for an appointment for a window replacement at Safelite Autoglass company in Gardena CA 11/27/23 at 7a.m. Monday morning. Upon arrival I was told the payment did not clear on their end. Safelite offers Afterpay--a third party service payment option for installments. I was told the order was deleted in the system and there were no records of an order. However, Afterpay had already deducted first installment and took payment out of my account days prior. Safelite gave me a hard time and I had to deal with the issue at the facility. They held the car hostage for 4 hours trying to resolve the problem because of the error in the system and not receiving payment from Afterpay's end. That is unacceptable. Lack of experience from management as well. They wanted me to do the work and chase Afterpay instead of staff helping. Staff are untrained on dealing with this type of problem, they couldn't help but wanted me to fix it myself. Had to chase AfterPay for the additional amount deducted for weeks with no live help or customer service. Everything was all on the web. No number to call. Even though AfterPay is a third party payment option--you work alongside with them by providing this payment option to your customers. I would have expected a better experience, more training, and more attention. The lack of service that they did provided was disappointing. I was more bothered that they didn't try to help. I had to go through PayPal afterwards to place an entire new order--after many hours of back and forth at the facility. Website also initially had a drop down option to opt out on windshield wipers, but towards checking out the wipers option were no longer available. So the entire new order included the wipers which I didn't even need since I already had new ones. I did not want an additional wipers but I was charged for the extra. In the future, need better training on staff instead of pinning the problem entirely on your customers to resolve or avoid this type of problem in the future. Even the manager was untrained and clueless. I believe they deleted the order or some glitch in their system that caused the error--either way is not the fault of the customer since the payment was already deducted from me prior to the arriving. I even filed a complaint directly with the company thereafter to provide feedback/review of their service--but NO response. Overall it was an entire letdown. Very frustrating throughout the entire process as well as the lack of training and lack of customer service Safelite has provided. Staff did not want to deal with the error but had me deal with it myself. I have been a customer with Safelite before but after this ordeal, probably will not be returning or recommending this business to anyone until Safelite takes accountability. read more

Don't you just hate when a rock from the truck in front of you sails right into your windshield? Luckily the crack was below my line of sight so I didn't have to rush to get it repaired. And oddly, the crack looked just like cat whiskers...I kinda wanted to draw a cat around the crack just to be silly! Anyway, a week later I got around to submitting an online claim for my windshield repair. It was quick and easy - maybe took me 4 minutes to complete the online form. It took longer to snap photos of the damage; I thought I would have to include them on my claim, but it turned out, I wasn't ever asked to upload or submit them. In any case, Luis showed up exactly when he said he would - opt in for the text updates so you can keep tabs on timing. Safelite practices safe distancing so all I had to do was leave the keys in the car and Luis took care of the rest. Invoices and receipt all electronic so they were waiting for me in email, sweet! The ease of the process was what I liked best but Luis' friendliness and courteous demeanor were a very close second. This may have been my 2nd time replacing a windshield, both times have been with Safelite and service has been terrific. read more

It was a never finished correctly the light hatch light stayed on which kept running down my battery eventually I had to buy another battery on top of getting AAA to every other day for roadside service because my battery continuously kept going down they gave me to run around for three weeks till November 22 I decided to take it to the dealership. I was alerted by text and email. They texted me on who would be coming by. The person named Rafael called me to confirm and say he was on his way. I had a bullseye type chip/crack in my windshield right below eye level on the drivers side. He was able to repair the area to make it look like a smudge. I know there is no way to make it disappear but it's definitely way better now than before. Rafael did a great job and was efficient and explained everything.
