As luck would have it, my car got hit with a small rock literally within a centimeter from the end of the windshield glass. To further rub salt in the wound, that little crack quickly expanded to over 18 inches right across the driver's view! Needless to say I had to get my entire windshield glass replaced. My insurance company referred me to Auto Glass Now in Colma to get it fixed and replaced. I promptly received a call directly from Auto Glass to make an appointment. Since I wanted OEM glass, they had to special order that would take another day or so. Once the glass came in, I got another call to bring the car in that afternoon which I did. Auto Glass Now in Colma is located on a quiet street close by the Costco in South San Francisco. The place is really small but the folks working there were really friendly and quickly greeted me. Because my car required Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) calibration, the entire process took about two hours, so I quickly grabbed some coffee down the street, did a Trader Joe's run, and came back. Update from my review above on 09Aug22: upgraded to 5 stars. Some clips were broken when removing the trim around my windshield and had to be reordered through Infiniti. They Luisa ordered them immediately and they came in quickly but they were bent. This occurred a couple more time but Scott and Luisa were both persistent and did not let it set, they stayed on Infiniti and finally acceptable parts came in. Scott and his partner installed them and the QX56 looks like new again. Great job to all that were involved. I hope I do not need to but if I do I will use them again. read more

Had my window replaced today. I was guaranteed an official Toyota glass also bearing the Toyota badge. I ended up receiving a "Fuyao". Now every glass on my brand new car has a Toyota logo EXCEPT for my replacement window. The worst part is the employee left my car on all day while I was at work. Wasting my gas and electricity. I scheduled an appointment with All Star Glass and confirmed the date that a service tech would come to repair my window. They gave me a ridiculous time window: the tech would arrive sometime between 8:00am and 6:00pm. I worked my day around this nonsense and no tech ever showed up. I called them in the afternoon to nail down the timing (I figured they must know the tech's route by now) they informed me that they "transferred me" to another location. Since they were supposed to be coming to MY HOUSE, I'm not entirely sure what other location I was transferred to. But the actual address of said new location was irrelevant because they NEVER notified me of the transfer. Ridiculous. DO NOT USE. read more

My Dad was in town for a few days visiting from Chicago and because I wanted to give him a truly authentic San Francisco experience I took him to the Mission so I could have my car windows busted in by motherf*ckers while we attended an indie film screening. Welcome to the Bay area, Dad... home of the Warriors and (subsequently) window bashing butt holes. Now, before I wax poetic about All Star Glass (specifically their super prompt and friendly technician, John), I want to take this opportunity to put a gypsy curse on the bung that broke my ish... May the burning, vengeful fire of 10,000 bottles of Sriracha infest every BM you even think about for the rest of your mediocre life. Amen... or however is an appropriate way to end a curse. Now, All Star Glass... These dudes are my homeboys and girls. Since multiple windows on my car were annihilated, the task of finding a shop that had or could get those windows in was a little tricky, and then finding someone who could do it quickly so I didn't have to drive around with a Saran Wrap and duct tape window for 5 days was even trickier. Turns out, car window smashers are pretty strategic about which windows they'll take down, choosing only the ones that are hardest to replace... f*ckers. But I'll tell you one thing, I've never beer more grateful to not have a fancy car with a sun roof or anything extra like that before. All Star Glass is based in San Bruno, but I didn't need to leave my home to get my car fixed because luckily, they make house calls and the best part is that it doesn't cost anything extra. We called at 8am on Monday morning and got an appointment scheduled for an 8-12 appointment for the window repair the very next day. We also got a follow up call to double check on which windows had been broken, which was a blessing because my insurance company had written in the wrong window information and All Star Glass was able to correct it and make everything right. On the day of the repair I got a call from John the technician about 20 minutes before his arrival to double check the address of my car (which my insurance also got wrong), to let me know when he'd be there (right on time at 10:00 am), and to let me know he had arrived so I could have over my vehicle for all the fixin'. John was super sweet and even very politely commiserated with my window woes. I signed a little form once he assessed the damage, he told me he had all the info he needed already as far as my insurance goes, and let me know he'd be about an hour to repair all the windows, which was great because I had a bunch of work to do and this allowed me some time to dedicate to that. Right at the 1-hour mark I got another call from John that he had finished so I came back to get my keys, initial & sign a form, and thank him for his time. He even went so far as to put some special tape on one of the windows since I needed to drive my car later that day just to make sure it had stayed in place for the full time needed to dry. Avoid. State Farm directed me to them and that recommendation is baffling. Maybe the good repairers have left? The location is convenient. It's 2019 and the repairer drilled a hole in the rock chip. They then forgot to fill it with resin until I insisted. They used a DIY kit to fill and dry their work. I wish I'd just trusted my instincts and driven away. The chip damage looks terrible and I'm pursuing options to get the windshield replaced. Office manager & front desk person were both friendly and professional. great work, called my insurer on Monday (Mercury) they handed me onto All Star (who are their partner for glass replacement) All Star called me on the same day to confirm the details, they ordered the (OEM) replacement windshield for my BMW, and it arrived on Tuesday, when they called to schedule the appt, the installer arrived on time and did a great job ... all in all a very very good experience, much better than Safelite IMO... Please do not go with All Star Glass. Window repair services are a dime-a-dozen (even mobile ones), and ASG managed to botch scheduling for a simple job, thus wasting the half-day I took off to have my passenger-side window replaced after a break-in. Long story short - 'Jo(e)' and another rep weren't able to answer simple questions about the deductible/payment process when working with a Mercury Insurance claim. Now in situations like these, I realize the Mercury adjuster has the final word, but with '30 years of experience,' you'd figure ASG would at least have some insight into the payment process. Guess not. Either way, I couldn't stand having a gaping hole on the side of my car any longer, so I resigned to the fact that I'd have to agree to their form of payment and call my Mercury rep later in hopes of getting reimbursed (she had left the office for the day), and confirmed an 8A-12P appointment for the next morning. This brings us to about an hour ago when I get a call from a third rep (Anna) asking if I'd like to schedule time. What? Apparently the two reps I had spoken with earlier couldn't figure out a calendar from their backsides and didn't actually put me down for any specific appointment slot. Glass had not been ordered and the morning was entirely booked as well, so instead of getting my window fixed and putting this entire frustrating break-in situation behind me, I now get to sit down and rant on Yelp to kick off this beautiful Tuesday. Overall this place was okay. The issue was the time they tell you was over 2 hours late. On top of that there was some issue with the glass not being there or something like that. They finally replaced the windshield but I had to wait over 2 extra hours. That's pretty excessive. They did however give me a discount for the long wait time. read more

And PS: karma's a beeotch!!!), we did a lot of auto glass repair research, quotes online, calls etc. and found that All Star Glass was the most reasonable price, and they were able to accommodate our schedule. Call to ASG: "Please help us, our car was violated." ASG: "No problem; just let me get your information. ...Ok, so we will be at your place tomorrow between 3-5 PM. Your total will be: $not arm.or leg" Next day at 3:01 PM Miguel arrives, and is done with the repair by 3:30. Our total was exactly what was quoted over the phone. Miguel did a very thorough job, even vacuuming any bits of glass we had missed. *tear* I thought the days of quality customer service was dead, but it's not... This review would have been a 4 if it weren't for this crazy mess: I scheduled an appointment on Tuesday for a contractor to come on Wednesday. They said someone will be there between 1-5. I told them I couldn't be home until 3, so they corrected it and quoted 3-5. Wednesday, they call me at 1pm to tell me that someone is waiting in my driveway. I told them that they're not supposed to be there til 3. They said that the computer listed "1-5". I told them to give the phone to Dina who I spoke with the previous day - she apologized and realized that she didn't input the correct time in the computer, called the guy and they told me they'll do the rest of their jobs first and come back before 5pm. Got home. Waited til 6pm and no one showed up. I called the office and of course they're closed so I leave a message. The next day, no one calls me to reschedule - so I call in! Apparently Dina told the guy to come back to my location as his last stop but obviously it wasn't done. Talk about MISCOMMUNICATION! They tell me that they'll come in between 3-5 and they'll bill me by phone since I won't be at the house. I'm at work and look at the phone to find 2 missed calls - 1 one from my house and 1 from All Star Glass. I call home to find out that the work was completed and the guy wouldn't leave til it was paid for! There was an understanding that I'd pay by phone!!!!!!!!!!! Luckily, I was given a discount for the inconvenience ($30 off) and the work was actually done perfectly so kudos to that. Being a rookie dealing with car services, I like to think that all places are auto shops are sketchy. I was wrong. My first experience dealing with a cracked windshield left me as a happy customer. I'm with State Farm and they referred me to this place as a location that will cover the costs. I contact All Star Glass and speak with Joe, who was very professional with his service. He setup a conference call between the both of us and a state farm agent(to get more information about the crack). I really like that they offer the service of coming to my work to fix my vehicle. This saves me a lot of time. When the driver arrived, he called me I met him outside. His name was Rich(or Rick) and was very friendly with his service and explained everything to me clearly. Very weird to say, but he'd be a fun person to grab a beer with. He was very energetic and was all smiles while I was there. He told me 45 minutes and 45 minutes later, he calls me to let me know my car is done. He even installed new winshield wipers for me($18) which was perfect cause I needed new ones anyways. This was my first experience with getting any glass work done and it was pretty good. I had the passenger side rear door window broken and needed to get it replaced. I got a list of service shops from my insurance provider and doing a bit of research online, this one seemed to be the best. I called them up and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day itself. The best part is that they come over to your place to fix it, which was great. They gave me a 4 hour window as to when I should be expecting them. So, the guy comes over the next day in the time window specified and within an hour he was done installing the new glass. So then I was left with a broken window and glass all over my car. After looking here on Yelp, I found All Star. They had to cancel their first appointment with me due to scheduling conflicts, but then rescheduled and gave me a discount. On my second appointment, the man was on time and his work was efficient. I had two stacking discounts and the final bill came to $225--that's about $60 off the original quote. Not bad. I have an unusual car, so the price is higher for work like this. Had to call tons of "wheeling and dealing" auto glass places, looking for the best deal around, because my insurance won't cover the replacement of the glass. It was like shopping for a used car! I even had one guy call me three times throughout the day, each time offering me his "best possible " price...sheesh! I had no idea shopping for a windshield would be such a harrowing experience. This place turned out to be the best! They price matched my cheapest offer, made an appointment for me to bring my car to their location, got my car in and out in 30 minutes! They were very friendly and professional and their warranty covers lifetime labor (just in case the seal springs a leak). Great experience! My driver's window was busted open in downtown SF Saturday night, after some jerk went on a robbing spree hitting every car on the block. I called All Star Glass on Sunday morning! No one else in the area could make time for me within the next 4 days or so. At the last minute, the manager at All Star paid one of her guys extra to come out the next day for me at the end of his shift. Seriously? Worst customer service ever. I called the number listed on yelp and the representative is nice. She helps me set an appointment for almost immediately to get my chip glass chip repaired. When I get there, they inform me that they have are "all booked and the call center shouldn't have sent me here"... uhhhhhh what?! The lady at the shop insists twice if I can make an appointment. Father's SUV's quarter glass was completely broken, had to get it replaced, along with two weather strips. I requested All Start Glass to use genuine Toyota Parts, they promised over the phone that they will. The insurance company initially got the incorrect glass down(vent glass) and All Star Glass had a minor issue with the insurance co because of the insurance's fault, but they ordered the parts ahead of time anyway, then I contacted the insurance to correct their mistake. The All Star Glass Repair person showed up on time and as scheduled, contacted me via phone after arriving and started replacing the parts with genuine Toyota parts. He vacuumed the broken glass inside the vehicle and outside on the ground, he worked for about 2.5 hrs and when I showed up to double check on things, he was VERY nice and polite, cool to talk to. In the end, the person replaced every part perfectly, zero complaint from me. I would not hesitate to recommend All Star Glass, at least with my experience with them. The service specialist came out to my car while I was at work so I didn't have to miss any meetings or drive out to their garage. The whole process took about 45 minutes, including a vacuum of the broken glass that was smashed in. The representative was very friendly, straightforward, honest and thorough. I called to originally to make an appointment and the lady said they were booked up. However, she gave me the option to come into their office first thing in the morning to get it serviced. All Star Glass wasted my morning. One week, they call and reschedule. During the next appointment, I waited three hours to find out that they were there, they knocked, and no one answered. There is a doorbell. It's loud. They never rung it. My home is quite long and the main living area is in the back. I may not be able to hear a door knock, but before you leave the area, you should try ringing the doorbell. I was here the entire time. By the time I finally got in contact with someone, the technician was already at his next appointment. They would not be available for the rest of the day. My driver side window was smashed by someone who has nothing better to do. They were recommended by my coworker and qoute me with a very reasonable price. My car needs to be fixed that day, I can't wait for the next day service since I drop my girls to school. They're not able to do same day to my work place since it's raining hard (Storm signal #2) and I'm parked at the street. I've called several auto glass repair and by far they are the cheapest. Made a bad call on parking in Hayward. The result ...my 1990 Convertible was broken into and the result was a smashed passenger window. My insurance company referred to their preferred vendor (company starts with S). The manager of the SoSF branch called to confirm in 1-2 days, would check inventory. Two weeks go by and no call from that company. When I called back, that company tells me the glass was no longer manufactured,and I would need to call my insurance company back. There's more back and forth, and the result is one month later I still have a broken window, which when I asked insurance company for another vendor. I called AllStar. Ana, the manager, was amazing! She helped research the problem, and took charge in getting the issues resolved and the glass to her shop. She communicated updates and got me scheduled in a timely manner. I brought the car to the shop and the technician did an excellent job of installing the glass in the promised time frame. Last week I got my windscreen replaced. This was the 3rd I've had done in 10 years (3 different vehicles - but still, there's a lot of crap on the freeways eh?). I've had all 3 done at AllStar. They've moved over the road from where I last saw them, it's a smaller spot, but what hasn't changed is their awesome service. No buggering about, they just give you a quote that's as good as anywhere, you make a time, and it's done in around an hour. Great attitude, and they tell you how to look after it while it seals up over the next day. There's a wee cafe just down the road too so you can hang out there, but they have a decent waiting room if you want. I know I'll be back even though I don't want to. read more

so there i was, 5:45am driving to work from noe valley to sfo. the typical early morning shift of smash and grab jerk offs were out in force. well i guess my driving by this one individual put a real kink in his smashing in car windows and ripping off innocent people of their worldly goods plan as he felt the need to throw his window smashing apparatus through my front windshield. so there i was, driving the rest of the way to work with half a windshield in the passenger seat. i was thinking who is going to come and fix my smashed in windshield on an early saturday morning. all star glass is who. after about 5 or 6 calls all star glass was the only operation able to come to my work parking lot to do the job. they even ended up being the best cost and this was on a saturday morning! months have past now and the job was done well, no leaks - air or water. all star glass is good people! we have since moved from the dangerous neighborhood of noe valley to the mission. we feel so much safer! read more
