So I finally scheduled another appointment, because believe it or not I do need my window that they managed to break and mess up the ordering of the glass (This is my 3rd appointment btw to fix their mistakes). The guy actually ditched the appointment. I even called him and left a voice-mail wondering where he was. Honestly didn't think it could get worse... oh but even better! They take time to bother me during work to schedule ANOTHER appointment for the following day to make up for the ditched worker. Fine, whatever, I schedule for the following afternoon. Then the following morning they call me to CHANGE THE APPOINTMENT AGAIN. Do these people honestly think I don't have anything better to do but cater to THEM. I am so beyond frustrated. read more

During a heavy storm, my back window got smashed in. Not sure how. After going through Yelp, I looked into these guys and compared them to others. These guys came back about $100 cheaper with their online quote. I made an appointment and they came over to my place. They said it would take 45 minutes. It took only 20. There were 2 guys. It costed $180 including tax. They said it was vandalism as no storm could smash in a car window like that. I'd recommend this place. read more

1. Don't park on Fulton next to the GG park. It is filled with homeless crazy people that have nothing better to do then break windows. My car got broken into when I had nothing in it. NOTHING. Well I did have a bike rack in my trunk, but clearly the homeless people are also idiots not knowing that my bike rack costs $300. Glad they didn't take it, but still not parking on Fulton EVER AGAIN. 2. I did some serious research when I was trying to find the most affordable glass installer. Car dealerships were theives, local glass places were all really expensive. All star glass was CONSIDERABLY cheaper than everyone else, and they came to me, they cleaned up the mess. The only drawback was that they were busy so my car had to sit windowless for almost 12 hours, BUT I am sure it had already been sitting windowless for probably days. My front windshield was smashed by vandalism. All Star was recommended by the Ford dealership where I bought my car. They had the best price for Ford OEM glass and they came to my house and replaced the windshield there. The installer (Martine) was great. All Star came out to my place in the morning, even accommodating me by making be the first stop in the morning so I could head out to work at a decently early time still. All Star Glass is the way to go. My car dealer recommended I work thru them to fix my windshield and I am really glad I did. After a little shopping around I found that they had very reasonable prices and were available within a couple of days - unlike the two week waits I was being quoted elsewhere. A great job by All Star Glass. They helped me in 2008 with loose insulation around my windshield and this time when my passenger side window was broken in a smash and grab while I was out shopping. The insurance company faxed them the work order over the weekend (it happened on a Saturday) and they came out on Monday at the scheduled time replaced the window and vacuumed out my van to get any loose glass out of there. read more

Honestly, if I could add another star to this place, I would. The guy who fixed my window was super friendly and instead of taking 30 minutes to an hour he fixed my window in about 20 minutes. So awesome! The cost seemed reasonable, about $150 to get my window fixed and it seemed like it was done in no time. Plus, the ladies that worked there seemed really nice too and there was a scrappy little dog that made the wait a little more entertaining. Noticed afterwards that there were still a few tiny glass shards on my backseat. It must have bursted onto there when the repairman was shaking the glass out of the door. Because I had initially vacuumed the visible glass on the seat before making the appointment, so he didn't bother to vacuum it again. A once-over would have been good though. Well, not too big a deal; there was nothing large enough to cut a person, just tiny bits that could stick to one's clothes. read more

Having your car broken into sucks, but All Star made the experience as good as possible. My insurance company recommended All Star, and they were great. I called at 10pm. The operators were sympathetic and kind. They gave me a window of 1-5pm the next day, and said it might be tough to find the right replacement glass (a quarter panel for a 9-year-old car). They called again in the morning to tell me they'd been able to find the glass at the dealership, and that they'd be able to honor the appointment. When John arrived (a little before 1!) he was friendly, quick, careful, and competent, and even vacuumed up all the broken glass inside the car. The price was reasonable, and the mobile service let us continue to work instead of wasting hours at the dealership. Boo for petty criminals, but hooray for All Star! read more

Just got Miguel to install a new rear window. This is a review only on my service up to window installment and will update on work product after it's been used/tested if necessary. My experience with their call center as well as Miguel was excellent. The customer service provided was prompt and friendly. The only con is that they quote a 4 hr window kind of like the cable guy. Otherwise, Miguel was friendly and gave me some pointers on how to maintain the glass for the next few days e.g. don't bring it to a power wash, let the glue sit for the day if possible, etc. We called on Sunday and they were out here by the next day. These guys were great! My car was broken into while I was st school (careful if you go to sfsu, don't park on lake merced!) and I called their 24 hour hotline. They gave me the choice of coming to my house or scheduling an appointment at their shop. I scheduled an appointment for the next day. They gave me a $10 discount for finding them online and stuck to the quote they gave me over the phone. $140 for a brand new window and one hour of labor, pretty good! I made a Yelp account just to give these guys a good review. I unfortunately got my car broken into via passenger side window, but All Star Glass made it an easy and seamless instillation. Though, they gave me a rather long window in which they would arrive (1pm-5pm), they came right at 1pm TO MY HOUSE! I was happy to not have to drive the car anywhere without a window. Enrique not only fixed the window in about 45 minutes, but when I arrived back to my car he had cleaned all the glass that was scattered on the floor and seats. I definitely recommend these guys! I hope the best is yet to come. Since July 19, I have had an appointment to have a windshield replaced. The date for replacement was to be July 27 between 1-4 pm. I changed my schedule so I would be available at that time. About 2 pm on that day, I received a call that they would not be able to get to me at that time-- workers were running late. Hmm- was not happy. So, it was rescheduled for the following morning. About 9 AM on that morning, I received a call that the glass was damaged- they would have to get a new one. Is this typical of their ineptness? I trust that it will be the correct glass, with the correct sensors, etc, and that there will be no damage to my auto when they install it. There were other situations along the way that showed ineptness. The coming installation better be fantastic. NB-- the installer came mid-afternoon and did an excellent job. Some people in the office need to work on their approach a great deal. read more

I was told the day before the appointment to be ready by 8am the next morning for the worker to fix the window. I called them at 7:50am to confirm the appointment and was told that workers are loading their vans and would be on their way shortly. My partner and I called All Star Glass after we discovered our car's window had been smashed to bits the night before. We called early friday morning and were told we would have to wait until monday for the next available appointment - fair enough, it was the weekend afterall. Our appointment time was set between 1pm and 5pm; apparently All Star works with Comcast and PG&E to schedule appointments. At any rate, we spent three restless nights worrying about having a car with no window. Monday morning finally rolled around, and we were awakened by a phone call from All Star who told us that they did not have the part (glass) for our car. Well, great. That would have been nice to know two or three days ago so that other plans could be made. I have nothing nice to say about this company. I called ASG during my drive home to get the first appointment possible. My car was broken in, in SF, during the day and I wanted to try to get the window fixed the next day. As I was driving home, I had to talk to the lady though my speaker phone and she was patient with me and collected all the information even with the wind noise. Just got my car from their shop yesterday, I could say they done a good job on the windshield they installed on my Lexus. The only bad thing is that after getting the car and parking it at home is that there is a half of a penny size paint chip just below the gas tank. Well, after finding this out, I called the customer service the next day and they checked their records and said that my car already had scratches, she did not mention anything about paint chip... well needles to say no need to argue since it was obvious that they would not admit that it got hit in their shop. Just beware guys when you bring your car to any shop, check it with the the person receiving it to make sure this does not happen to you. read more

Just had my 2006 Saturn Vue OEM broken windshield replaced with a new SolarGreen Duplate Laminated PPG (OEM for the Saturn Vue!) unit from All Star this AM! The technicians, Miguel and Steve, were very courteous, friendly and competent. I paid a very reasonable $237 for the entire job, including the cost to install, plus lifetime warranty. They also came to my home to perform the fast 30-minute change-out. this company has been giving my family & I the run around for about a month now. We have a car, not luxury by any means. The front window was shattered but not broken. The first time they came to "fix" it they put the wrong window in, which left my car worse in my opinion. Atleast with a shattered window I could roll it all the way up. this new one they put on left a large gap at the top so now the lovely rain of San Francisco has left some lovely water damage on our door. Not only did the young man Ryan put on the wrong window, he left before we could even debrief and go over solutions. We never received a call stating when they would put the right window in. We had to call them..once we called them they had no record, in their system it looked like the job was finished. After much argument the gentleman on the phone stated he send a new quote over, so not only did they mess up but we still have to pay for it. Fine. 3 days go by no quote, finally we get a quote for an absurd amount 4 times what they originally told us. When we try to contact the manager, Ana I think her name is she didn't answer and hasn't returned our calls. If you are in the mood for highway robbery then by all means All Star Glass is the place for you. I mean, damn, already went through the hassle of my belongings getting stolen by some meanies who broke our window now this company. You guys are not professional. read more

From my first call to this company (with Kristil), through confirmation (with Jennifer) and through the actual installation (with Carlos), everyone was professional and courteous. My rear driver's side window on my 2014 Hyundai Accent GLS had shattered on the street when I closed my door on the opposite side of the car...very odd. I called and got quotes from a couple of different places when it happened on Sunday, and while it did take 2 days to get an appointment, All Star Glass was the earliest appointment I could get, and they were the least expensive (beat the other quotes by about $125 and came to my work to do the install). They were also recommended by my insurance company. Carlos was on time and did a great job replacing the window and even dumped the glass for me from my auto vacuum that I had used to clean up the original shattered glass. read more

Very bad customer service. Was quoted one price initially for my driver side window. Technician shows up at my house next day and had the wrong glass. They say it will cost $50 more if I want the correct OEM glass, or I can take aftermarket for the quoted price. I explain to them I expect the OEM for the quoted price. Their mistake was not my mistake. After several calls back and forth, I agree to their offer to meet half way between prices just to get it done. Then I come to find out they can't do the job at my house for some reason. Keep in mind the car was in a garage and has a driveway as well. Meanwhile I'm at work taking time out to get on the phone Everytime they call. My parents who I left the car with, had to drive the car to their shop, get dropped off back at home and then were picked up later to go back to the shop and pick up my car. In the end they cut off $25 from the originally quoted price. This I don't think was sufficient. Not only did they quote me a price for one thing, then try to give me something else. They couldn't even do the work at my house which was the main reason I chose them for the work. They inconvenienced my family who was doing me a favor. Made me walk out of meetings several times at work to argue with them over the phone. Only in the end to cut me a $25 discount? I feel this was very poor customer service. This review could have been 4-5 stars if they would have stepped up to their mistakes and made things right. But they chose to nickel and dime and argue. In the end, my car was done same day. When I get home from work, there was still small glass pieces on the outside of my door and a few in the car. Needless to say very disappointed. They turned a small, easy job into a big ordeal that inconvenienced many people and could have easily been avoided. read more
