I called and they confirmed the car was on the lot. I headed out there quickly, was able to get a quick test drive in and kick the tires. Absolutely NO PRESSURE, I felt the price was fair, and they stand behind their vehicles with a 90day/4K mile warranty which gave me more confidence. I had a really good experience with them and I'd go back in a heartbeat.

They gave me a 3 month warranty from a 3 party company that is not will to cover it at all. So it's going to cost me 20k to fix it when I only paid 11k for the car. I'm not happy at all. All within one month of having the car. They will not do anything to help out on it. Did I mention it was pd for with a cashier check in full?

Since I live about 200 miles away, I really appreciated that they accommodated my long drive by having everything prepared before I arrived. The paperwork was ready, the vehicle was exactly as described, and the entire transaction was efficient, allowing me to get back on the road quickly. After I got home, I realized the 120V adapter for the BMW Flexible Fast Charger was missing. In fairness, I was in a hurry to get back home and didn't notice it before leaving the dealership. When driving from where I received the truck, the check engine light came on. I notified him of this issue and he said to have it fixed locally and he would reimburse me. It has been several months and many texts and calls and still no reimbursement. Up until this point, David lived up to his word but I am extremely disappointed to have to write a partial negative review due to not receiving this promised reimbursement. In addition, the check engine issue took two times to resolve, the second requiring an additional cost which I decided to absorb thinking I would get the promised reimbursement. In closing, David did live up to his word on everything until this reimbursement issue so I can't give a 5 star review due to this

It was diagnosed as needing a new water pump. Over $1,900 later + that new water pump and I left with a much more prolific coolant problem. I was told that a secondary issue existed after the repair and payment. As such, I was quoted ~$2,500 for radiator replacement. I'm attaching the picture I also sent to the dealership right after leaving and finding radiator fluid everywhere. Communications from the GM and Service Department Manager were on par for the excellence of Sewell. The actions were not. In the end, I had it fixed to perfection by my local mechanic for $900.

But it all changed when that last accident totaled three cars due to someone driving under the influence. And so began my search for the perfect new (or potentially used) car. I went to so many dealerships and test drove everything I thought I might like. Volvos, Lexus, Subaru, Mazda, Mercedes, BMW and Toyota to name a few. I called dealerships. I searched online. I had so many tabs open on my phone & photos saved that it was beginning to overwhelm me. I was disappointed and lied to by more than one salesman to be sure until I visited FAMILY TOYOTA in Burleson. My salesman was Dominic Gomez and how he changed my perspective of a car salesman! He was honest & upfront with me and genuinely cared about my needs, budget and concerns. He heard me out and was patient to the point of even setting up my phone with the Toyota App. When I was ready to buy my new Toyota BZ, he didn't flinch when I said I needed to drive the Toyota Crown "just to be sure" since I love a luxury car. In the end, I went with the new 2026 BZ Limited BEV (battery electric vehicle) as I just love the smooth ride, platform and trim (not to mention the huge savings by not buying gasoline)! The store's General Manager is Dustin and he was most accommodating & helpful, too. I was so impressed with the no pressure sales and how clean & organized this dealership is as well. I really can't say enough having been through so much these last two months as I did extensive research & was really losing hope until I walked into FAMILY. I had other car salesmen from premier dealerships literally lie to my face about prices but this didn't happen here. We had visited two other dealerships prior to this, and not one of them offered that level of trust or ease with a test drive. After our drive, David took the time to ask about our experience and walked us through the benefits of purchasing from Sewell. I originally came in specifically for a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle that was advertised online as CPO. After arriving at the dealership, I was informed the vehicle was actually not certified and only had around 500 miles remaining on the factory warranty. Despite that, the pricing remained consistent with what would typically be expected for a certified vehicle, and I was then encouraged to purchase an additional $3,000 extended warranty instead. As a buyer, that was extremely disappointing and felt misleading. On top of that, several promises made during the sales process were not properly followed through on, including the tint request. Communication throughout the process was poor, and expectations were not clearly managed. The vehicle also was not thoroughly detailed before delivery, as I am still finding personal belongings and food debris from the previous owner under the seats and floor mats. I want to be clear that my frustration is more with the dealership process than with any one individual employee. However, attention to detail, transparency, and follow-through are exactly why customers choose Sewell and pay Sewell-level prices. While I did end up getting the car I wanted I came in expecting exceptional service and a true Certified Pre-Owned buying experience, and unfortunately left with neither.
