I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with Dallas Lease Returns and salesperson Brandon DeSantos. My experience has been one disappointment after another. Initially, I asked for documentation showing repairs that were supposedly completed on a vehicle. When I requested an invoice, I was told the vehicle had already been sold, so I dropped the issue and moved on. Later, my wife ended up pursuing the same vehicle through a different salesperson. For reasons I still don't understand, Brandon DeSantos was involved in the transaction again. My wife was told that the vehicle would be delivered and relied on those representations when purchasing the car from out of state. After the deal was completed, the story changed, and now they do not want to deliver the vehicle as promised. Throughout this process, there has been a constant pattern of conflicting information, broken promises, and poor communication. We have text messages documenting many of these conversations, which makes the situation even more frustrating. Buying a vehicle should be based on trust and honesty. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. If you are considering purchasing from Dallas Lease Returns, I recommend getting every promise in writing and verifying that all terms are fulfilled before completing the transaction. Hello there! I was coming 200 miles to take a look at car. The car had a cracked windshield, and the condition of the brakes was about 15%. The dealer can't provide any records of services. The offer for trade-in was the lowest; even the next-door dealer offered $2000 more. Customer service from the salesperson was good. Purchased a 22 BMW X5 in March. Terrible experience with Dallas Lease Returns. The salesperson messed up my original deal, then made me sign a second one with a higher monthly payment. They also wouldn't tell me what went wrong with the first deal-- very shady. The car also came with missing seatbelt hooks and 2 out of 3 broken back seatbelts, and they knowingly sold it this way. They lied about the repairs being covered under BMW warranty and even gave me an expired temp tag. I've had to put more money into this vehicle in under a year than anyone should for a "new" car. I bought a car there about a year ago, and it was a very good deal. Maybe I should've wondered why it was such a good deal. The sales person was very nice and the transaction was very seamless. However, when I had the car shipped to California, I started noticing a couple of issues the one problem was with the paint. The other issue was it was steering kind of weird, but I didn't think nothing of it because it was almost new 2023 car when I took it in for maintenance. They told me the auto had a bent tie rod that controls the steering motor and that it needed to be replaced. That is very expensive part. I am very disappointed. All of this started when I noticed the vehicle was vibrating shortly after purchase. I contacted the salesman, and--to no surprise--it did me no justice. I took the car to Autobahn Service Center, where I was shocked to learn that it had severe defects, including: Collapsed engine mounts Hydraulic issues A defective windshield seal This forced me to file complaints with the CFPB, DMV, and Texas OAG. The response I received from the lender through the CFPB complaint BLEW MY MIND. I had been asking the salesman and the dealership for my signed financing documents since the ones originally provided to me were missing signatures. When I finally received them through my CFPB complaint, I was in shock--my signature and my wife's signature had been FORGED. The agreement had been modified and completely different from the documents provided to us. But one mistake they made was leaving one document that contained our actual signatures. How smart does anyone have to be to look at the signatures that I can verify, and compare it to the forged signatures and come to the conclusion that it was not signed by neither of us? I immediately filed reports with the FTC and the police because this is beyond just bad business--this is FRAUD. Listen, I see plenty of people who have had good experiences with this dealership, but I want to warn you that situations like mine are happening, and often to people who have no clue what to do. Fortunately, I have the knowledge and resources to fight back and expose this scam. Please stay safe, pay close attention to your documents, and avoid this dealership at all costs. I should have read the reviews before buying a car here. Bought a car from them in June of 2024 and the weekend I bought it rained and I noticed my headlight had water in it which right away caused an electrical shortage which took out the running lights and turn indicator. I took it in to get an estimate to replace it and it was $3k parts and labor. I have only put an additional 10k miles on it this year and had to take it back to the shop because the brakes went out on it too. Don't buy cars from these guys it's not worth it. Dishonest. My son scheduled a test drive for one specific car they had advertised on their website for this past Saturday 02-15-25. By the way he drove 4 hours for this test drive and had everything ready to make purchase. When they got to the dealership at the time they opened they were told it just sold but we have other cars that might fill your needs. Working on a hunch I went to the website the next day to see the same car still advertised on their website as available. I sent in my information of interest on the car and got a response on Monday saying the car (that had apparently been sold 2 days ago was still available). I sat on that for a day and called to speak to the sales rep that sent me the email on Monday that the car was still in their inventory. He told me oh that car was available yesterday but just sold. I asked how did a car that was sold on Saturday just get sold again today. The car is still showing for sale on the website right now. They bait you with a good car for a fair price and low mileage that does not exist on their lot. read more

Saw a van I was interested in online early this Saturday morning. Put in contact info and got a call at 11AM for them wanting to show it. Drove over and waited in the lobby on sales contact until a Porsche alarm started screaming incredibly loudly for no apparent reason. I left to tbe garage to save my hearing and waited while my sales guy took a customer who came in behind me. Then when I finally met with the sales guy the listed van van was not in inventory. Some lame thing about them diving it out to Fort Worth to show it to someone who was interested out there 50 miles away. Right. If you take your time to look at their over inventory, call them and make sure the sales guy has the key to the unit in question before you leave out because their web page isn't kept current or has bait and switch content. The temporary tag is expried.I spoke to my salesman about 3 weeks ago and was told it's taking more time now to get plates but they would arriving soon. The temporary plate expired on 5.21.24 and I called and emailed the salesman, he said he would get back to me and did not. I emailed him today and this was the response. " I called earlier and left you a voice message to let you know that our management staff and titles department are working to get us your plates asap. We should receive them soon and asked that I check back tomorrow. Thank you for your patience. He did not leave me a voice message. This was my response "I can't drive my car. This answer is evasive. I need an answer and don't thank me for my patience because that has exprired". I then went to the dealership and was told this was my problem not theirs and I would have to talk nicley to him if I wanted any help.. I walked outl. This is not the only complaint. After taking posession of the car, I noticed the front tires had been switched to the rear and the tread was worn on the inside of both tires. My son who drives the car told me it pulls to one side. I did notify the salesman and was told that there was not enough money in this deal to do anything about this. I told them I am going to report the inspection station that passed the inspection on this car because there is no way these tires would pass. I am trying to find out the inspection stations number to make a report. I think it's possible that this orginazation is playing games with the sales tax collected. read more

THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE!!!!!! I purchased a 2016 S550 MERCEDES BENZ APRIL 2022.. I fell in love with the picture, but I purchased a LEMON!!!! 2nd day my car would not start.. communicated with Eric my salesman nice guy.. I had someone to give me a Boost.. car crunk up.. 1 week later had the same issue at work.. callEd Eric again and I had it towed to one of their shops.. they supposedly fixed my car , but I had the same issue again 2 other times and I had to put it back in shop with no loaner, inconvenience me and having to Uber to work. I spoke to Eric about trading me out to another car because at this point I'm having too many issues. He told me give the mechanic a chance to fix the problem.. Check Engine light came on I told Eric I really don't want the car anymore, it's to much going on that don't have anything to do with me. Okay, so they fixed the problem finally.. October come around and my Heat went out smh. I called Eric told him about it, called my insurance put it in the shop and had to pay out of pocket $500 for a problem that wasn't my fault! They fixed my heat.. now January come around and my headlights are flashing as if they want to go out.. I messaged Eric and told him I hate this car with tears rolling down my face as I type.. my insurance won't pay for my headlights as of today they are completely out, and my Air just went out!! My driver door is squeaking, and my check engine light is still on!! When I pump my gas, the gas handle keeps clicking , as if something is wrong with my gas tank. TALKING ABOUT THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I WANT TO THROW THE WHOLE CAR IN THE TRASH!! I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND NO ONE TO BUY HERE!!! So I did my research as I scoured DFW and the surrounding areas (out to a 250 mile radius) looking for my son's first truck (and a great deal). I came across Dallas Lease Returns and started reading their many favorable reviews - and found an ideal truck. So we drove across DFW to get there (without calling ahead) and was told that particular truck needed too many repairs upon inspection - I thought, what used car dealership is that honest right off the bat? I was already impressed. But wait, there's more - the lady I spoke to started looking through their inventory in an effort to find an alternative. And she did! Afton, a Sales Manager, was super helpful - she was the one who initially answered my call and walked us through every step - from searching for and showing my kiddo a great truck (and I even got to check out a luxury SUV I've been dreaming of for a while) to finishing financing. No shuffling between Sales and Finance, etc. The deals were so good we did a 'two-for one' special! So my son and I both got amazing vehicles! She even let my kiddo eat her lunch - literally! An amazingly kind gesture for a very tall young man who doesn't skip meals! The GM, Chris, was also very helpful when pricing our trade in vehicle - which really helped the entire deal come together. It was an extremely pleasant experience - so good in fact that I'll definitely go back there in the future. Afton gets repeat customers - again rather rare in the used car business. Another huge plus was the ability to have a pre-purchase inspection done by a mechanic of our choice, and they even delivered the car to the mechanic for us! (Side note here: our vehicle had 48k miles and LITERALLY NOTHING come back on the mechanic report! We were ecstatic!) Malia Penington is AMAZING! Dallas lease returns is awesome! This is a great place to buy a car. I really like how you only deal with one person at the dealership. You aren't constantly having to wait for them to go talk to somebody else then having to go see someone different throughout the dealership. One person takes care of everything even financing. We looked around the dealership for a while every car we saw was very high quality and in great condition. Everyone there was really friendly and went out of their way to ask if we needed anything, there was no pushy sales reps just friendly people. Our sales rep Malia was amazing. My wife was having to give up her sports car in order to get a mom car. She went out of her way to make her comfortable with the whole transaction. When we went for a test drive it wasn't just around the block she took us on a good 20-minute test drive. And gave us plenty of time to look over the vehicle to make sure we were completely happy with it. She even called a couple days later to check in with us and see how we were doing and make sure my wife was happy with the new vehicle. I was in the market for a newish midsize sedan. Although I had a couple cars in mind, it came down to one at a dealer and another with Blanca at DLR. I brought both cars to my mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection. The DLR car was in near-factory condition inside and out. However, the dealer car was not in "great shape" like they claimed--it had had some previous body work and repainting done, suggesting some sort of incident that did not show up on the Carfax, and had not been disclosed. As soon as my mechanic showed me the issues I called Blanca right away and accepted the offer she gave me. I dropped off the dealer car with a quick "thanks but no thanks" and made my way to DLR, where we completed the paperwork and I was out the door in my new car that afternoon. Overall I was astounded at how differently I was treated by Blanca at DLR vs all the dealerships I had visited. I know that car salespeople can take advantage of purchasers in many different and legally protected ways, and was advised by a consumer protection attorney of the many common issues before I shopped. DLR was the only place where not a single one of the red flags came up. They disclosed everything I felt they should have, they did not try to push me into buying overpriced add-ons, and they responded to the few small issues I felt needed to be resolved before my purchase (such as buying tires for the car, as the tread was just above the minimum acceptable wear line). I felt like DLR really does care about their customers and demonstrates it in concrete ways, unlike all the other dealerships out there that are all talk. read more

Scam City. Sellers are not knowledgable and prices are over market AT BEST. Worse still, some vehicles are junk. I'm seeing fresh leaking oil, bent axles, worn CV joints and unreported flood damage on multiple vehicles in their stock. They don't even clear codes, so I see all sorts of readings on my OBDII. Don't expect the overly-groomed and smarmy salespeople to know anything about the cars specifically--all they know is financing. I regret the hours I spent looking and testing new cars. I received both apathy towards my needs and pressure to buy the car. The salesperson MO DIAKITE could not explain specs, could not guide me to any car in my price range, but still pressured me to put down a deposit on a car to hold it and demanded to know when I would return to have the car inspected. Yet, MO DIAKITE, despite his urgency, did not respond to my voicemail hours later and had his preferred phone on "do not disturb" mode the rest of the day. ...come one now... that's some lame and pernicious customer service. Finally, I had to contact the dealership to get in touch with MO DIAKITE. When I explained that the 2013 VW Passat SE (80k miles), was overpriced at 11k+, he could not provide a reason why. He could not haggle. He could not defend the cost. What MO DIAKITE could do, though, was suggest that he did not need my sale because his cars sell fast. He said he could not explain the price, but it was set by the "leasing company." That's all. I could say more about the poor service, inaccuracies of their online stock info, and frankly the sketchiness of their good reviews, but all I'll say is that it seems they do a lot of customer communication and selling of cars via online correspondence. Personally, I would never buy a used car that way. I just hope people are careful when approaching this business. My advice... look elsewhere! read more

Overall experience here: Pretty Happy Customer. Ownership experience: Purchased end of January, still driving my car today as Pretty Happy Customer. Quick detail about this place: From what I was told, all the cars here are direct lease returns - that is, these people get their used cars immediately after a lease is returned from their business partners. This is very comforting, because the biggest unknown about a used car is their history by prior owners. I can confirm that what they told me was backed up by the Carfax report. The Bulletpoint Bob: - Excellent customer service - Got a full tank of gas on pickup day, new battery (previous one was shot), two new tires (apparently they were a bit worn), along with a year's complimentary car wash - Got offered free popcorn and water while we talked (hey, it's nice service :)) - Did not feel over-pressured to buy, but was given a fair opportunity to get a feel of the car - Knowledge is your responsibility - find a greasemonkey before you buy! Here's how my experience went (long version): I worked directly with Sean D. most of the time. I actually first reached out over the weekend and was able to speak with him regarding a listing I found on their dealership website. Unfortunately, as with many listings I have found, it was already sold. He did however take my preferred search params down and noted them for future shipments. Sure enough, I got an email with multiple listings fitting the description and price range I was looking for. There was one in particular that piqued my interest and I swung by for a look-see a few days later. The deposit was $200 to hold it until I could see it (I forget if it was 48 hours hold, not sure), which could be refunded to me at 100% if I don't find that I like the car, or alternatively it could be put towards the purchase price of the car if I decided to buy. I must admit I was a little iffy about checking out a used car dealership (cue: greasy used car salesman with the "I'll sell you anything" smile!). But no, Sean wasn't quite that persona. He was pretty straightforward with me, was definitely on top of his game when I came in. The car I was interested in was sitting at the front of the lot, ready for me to test drive her. At the end, we did the usual negotiations dance and came up with a reasonable deal that we both seemed to be happy with. In all fairness, I did a lot of research and had the input of at least two greasemonkeys in my ear to keep me informed during my decision-making process. Sean and I parted ways happy, and me with a new "used" Nissan Altima (it felt quite new to me). Highly recommend this place. I did shop around their competitors and found most of them failing in the sales and honesty department. Many of them were definitely greasy, and a good number of them had questionable fake reviews (reviewers who had only ever entered 1 review in their accounts). Sean, on the other hand, did not go overboard with the sales pitches, nor did he harass me with phone calls. He was on top of the followups with the keys and paperwork I requested even after the sale, with excellent turnaround time. On a final note, always do your research, especially when it comes to used cars. It pays off, and paired with a dealership like this one, you should be on the right track. I would also note that it is a good idea to do some research on potential extended warranty providers before purchasing a used vehicle. I have been doing a bit of digging and am not yet certain that the Portfolio company sold at this dealership is any good yet, given that I have never worked with them before nor ever with an extended warranty program, and will provide separate feedback on their services on their own review page. I'm planning on having my Nissan properly serviced in the near future and will be providing a followup update on any findings of the vehicle I purchased at this dealership. Update 2018-03-26 It has now been about two months since the purchase of my altima. I had it checked at a very reputable, licensed mechanic's shop, and overall found that she was still a good buy...sortof. The mechanic found some damage that was NOT reported in the carfax report. There was noticeable evidence of a paint job over a fender repair, moved bolts and of previous issues with the battery (which the dealership *did* change before I picked her up). I feel a little bit unhappy that the "clean carfax" sale only held so much water. Maybe best to shop with a mechanic friend in tow rather than a checkup afterwards. Hands down, the BEST customer service I've ever experienced from a used car dealership. I almost bought an Audi A7 from them today, but unfortunately, we couldn't come to an agreement for the final price. I still want to leave them a review for their amazing customer service though. I messaged them online last night about the vehicle. This was around 8 PM, so it was after business hours. I got a call the next morning and was given all of the information about the vehicle. I was really interested in the vehicle and wanted to reserve it before someone else got their hands on it. They told me they have a policy of applying a holding charge on your credit card to reserve the vehicle, but it's 100% completely refundable if you decide not to buy the car. That is pretty fair right there! I told them that I live in NRH and work from home and don't get off until 5 PM. It's a 40 minute drive from my house to this location, but with traffic, it could end up being an hour drive. They close at 6 PM so that would be cutting it close. With that being said, the GM, Kris Gaerlan, said he can have one of his associates drive the vehicle to my house for me to test drive. That right there is amazing customer service! The associate that ended up bringing the vehicle to my house for the test drive was Yulian Equihua. He worked with my schedule and came by during my lunch break. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and was willing to work with me on pricing. He did not pressure me what-so-ever and I felt so comfortable when talking to him about the vehicle. Usually car salesmen are pushy and pressure you to buy the car. Making you feel really bad if you don't. But no, not Yulian! He let me drive it around and was honest about everything. I enjoyed meeting him and could tell he has a good heart and would never want to rip anyone off. In the end, the car was more of a want than a need for me. We just couldn't come to a final number that we all could agree on. Which is sad, but I understand. I hope to do business with Dallas Lease Returns in the future if I find something that catches my eye. However about 3 or 4 days after purchasing a $16000 vehicle, my check coolant level warning is already on and there is a popping noise when I turn the vehicles steering wheel. I thought maybe I was backing up over some small rocks or something to the point I got out of the vehicle to see what the noise was but it's actually coming from the vehicle. I got rid of my 2005 Lincoln aviator truck because of the mechanical issues and now I have to pay money to get these things checked out before I've even had to fill the tank up for the first time and it still has the 30 day tags on the car. I haven't even paid the first damn car note yet and I'm already looking into trading in the vehicle and it hasn't even been 3 weeks. I don't have the time and money to now start fixing on a vehicle I just purchased and was informed that a full inspection was done on it. I don't care what these other reviews say, there is no way this vehicle was thoroughly checked if the coolant level already needs to be checked out. I literally only went to this dealership because of the reviews and well......needless to say, I am extremely disappointed and it's just not right. Also, I am still waiting for the guy to contact me to fix 2 pits in the windshield I didn't see until I drove the vehicle in the sunlight. I thought it was tape residue from the old registration sticker, but when I tried to take it off it is actually pits in the windshield. I'm over it. I think it needs to be a law that you can return a vehicle after a week. This is not right. If you go here take the vehicle to your mechanic and go over it with a fine tooth comb. Turn the music off, roll down the windows, Drive it about 10 miles, back it up over and over again, let it sit in idle for a little bit. I'm serious make sure to check the vehicle out thoroughly.
