I took it this time to Quick Lane cause they are basically Ford used cars right next to Atchinson Ford. They know Fords. Unfortunately, within just a few days of getting the vehicle back, the same problems returned. After multiple attempts to have the issues corrected, it appeared that the diagnostic trouble codes had simply been cleared rather than the underlying problems being resolved. I eventually took the vehicle to my regular mechanic, who had recently acquired the equipment necessary to service this type of vehicle. After inspecting it, he found that the oil sensor was still the original sensor rather than a new replacement, the oil leak was coming from the manifold instead of the oil pan (which I had previously discussed with the shop), and the EVAP switch had been installed incorrectly, with loose lines. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop. I would encourage others to ask detailed questions about the repairs performed and verify the work before leaving. Unfortunately, my experience resulted in additional time, expense, and frustration.

Apparently the HIGH power beams are 9005 Sylvania bulbs. Instead of informing my wife the wrong bulbs were brought in they replaced the WORKING low beam lights. They refused to return the working bulbs we are entitled to according to Michigan law. We had to take it to a dealer who then replaced the high beams with the low budget bulbs. We needed the supers lumen brightest bulbs as she does drive our son to work between 2:30 AM and 4:30 AM depending on his work hours through much no lighted winding country single lane roads. Why didn't this place tell us we had the wrong bulbs? Imagine if we were there for car repairs and needed rear quarter panels but we wrongly received front quarter panels and the replaced the front good panels. We still would have wasted money on unnecessary repairs and still had to have repairs necessary. This is gross incompetence and they refused to give my wife our working bulbs back. This is pathetic, shameful, and negligent while on their part.

They diagnosed it same day even though they were very busy. They fixed the issue promptly and the pricing was extremely reasonable. The dealership found that there was no oil showing on the dipstick and that the gasket had not been installed correctly during the oil change. We contacted GULF Auto, and Mike initially stated that they would reimburse my daughter for the oil change she had paid for on August 24th, as well as whatever costs she incurred at the dealership. However, they are now refusing to pay for anything. I spoke with Trish, who contacted the manager, Sam. We were told that they are not going to pay for anything, despite the issue occurring immediately after their oil change. This is extremely disappointing, especially when dealing with a brand-new vehicle. If you are trusting a shop with your vehicle, you should be able to expect the work to be done correctly and for the business to stand behind its work when something goes wrong. I would not recommend GULF Auto based on this experience. I strongly encourage others to double-check their oil level and the work performed after using this shop.
