I was very frustrated with car trouble. I called this shop based on reviews I read. I was not disappointed. They answered promptly, asked me to explain my situation, and were reassuring. They diagnosed it same day even though they were very busy. They fixed the issue promptly and the pricing was extremely reasonable. Before I start a review of this place let me direct y'all to my last review of Suburban Cadillac of Ann Arbor. I gave them a 2 star. On 3/12/2020 checking google I found these guys. They have a 5 star review by 216 customers. I contacted them via email and explained my issue since they were closed at 6pm. On 3/13/2020 I phoned them at 8am and spoke to Ted. I again explained my issues and Ted acknowledged recieving my email. Asked me to bring in my vehicle. I went there around 9am and Ted came with me to drive me back home. While on the drive he saw all the stuff the vehicle was doing. He explained to me the electrical diagnostic would be $100 and he will definately tackle it on Saturday if he cant get it in on Friday. On Friday the 13th (not all Fri 13 is bad) at 15:00 hrs he called to let me know that their mechanic found my issue and fixed it plus they test drove it and found nothing else wrong with electricals. The total cost was $206.30 Now I see why they are 5 star rated. They are my new go to guys for all my Cadillac issues. This facility is the Best one of it's kind in the area for sure! I do Not trust many people with my Classic BMW or my Ford F150. However; I Can Totally Trust this location. They are friendly, honest, trustworthy, and professional. The prices are way better than any dealership and also better than other local repair shops! I have full confidence in everything I needed fixed on all of my vehicles here! I have personally met the owner Ted and he is a man of integrity. I have only had one experience with this business, but I would highly recommend it! I called them in the early afternoon to let them know that the shifter cable detached from the arm on the transmission on my truck. I also told them that I was able to re-attach it, but it wasn't securely fastened. So I wanted to know if I would be able to bring my truck in and have it fixed properly. They told me that they were pretty busy and would be able to get to my vehicle until later in the day or possibly the next morning (they are first come first serve). So I decided I would take my truck in and ride my bike home while I waited. When I arrived, I was greeted right away and the gentlemen behind the desk recognized that he had spoken with me on the phone. While I was there, he spoke to me at my level of understanding and did not in any way make me feel like an idiot. Which I really appreciated. The gentlemen behind the desk called one of the mechanics into the office and had me explain the issue, which again, I appreciated that he let me explain what was going on. After speaking with the mechanic, he decided that he would bring my truck in right away because it would be an easy fix. Which was also nice, because then I didn't have to ride my bike home. While I was waiting for my truck, another woman came in with her own vehicle issues. Again, they talked with her at her level of understanding and were incredibly respectful. This woman didn't have a ride home, so the gentlemen behind the counter offered her a ride! I thought that was goi g above and beyond! At the end of the day, my truck was fixed, I was treated with respect, and I wasn't talked into something that I didn't need. I recently moved to the area, and I will be bringing my business back here for sure! read more

Recently when we were in town from Chicago our "Check Engine" light went on. While we stopped to visit a cousin, I asked if her husband had an OBDII scanner because I know he does auto repair work on the side. He did and scanned the code, which came up with a variable valve timing code (VVT). Unfortunately, this was later in the afternoon on a Saturday so we had to move fast. My cousin's husband suggested we head over to Cart-Tech to see if they could help. At first, they said they wouldn't be able to look at it as it was near closing, but knowing our situation they did. The mechanic looked over things, looked at the oil and said we probably would be OK to drive back to my mom's place in Brighton, MI but to get it checked out promptly. Unfortunately, later the issue did turn out to be related to a damaged turbo but Car-Tech wouldn't have been able to know that without taking the car apart. I'm giving Car-Tech a positive review because they really did try to help us; Brian the GM and the mechanic (sorry don't remember his name) were professional and did their best to provide us some type of answer. read more

After being disappointed and getting way sub-par customer service at a local Chevy dealership, I finally wised up and decided to try another venue. Car-Tech is right around the block from me, and they had good reviews on-line. Brian, the general manager, helped me and did not disappoint! He was very customer service oriented. He explained everything very thoroughly that was wrong with my car, and called my after market warranty company for coverage details. He even surprised me with a discount when I arrived to pay! Not only do these guys do a great job but they call around until they find you the best deal on parts. I sent my girlfriend here and they fixed her car quickly and for much less than I was quoted by two other shops. The car drives like new now and the least I can do is give them a good review.
