My wife brought in headlights to be replaced for a fee. The wrong bulbs H-11 Sylvania $60 top of the line halogen were to replace the HIGH beams. Apparently the HIGH power beams are 9005 Sylvania bulbs. Instead of informing my wife the wrong bulbs were brought in they replaced the WORKING low beam lights. They refused to return the working bulbs we are entitled to according to Michigan law. We had to take it to a dealer who then replaced the high beams with the low budget bulbs. We needed the supers lumen brightest bulbs as she does drive our son to work between 2:30 AM and 4:30 AM depending on his work hours through much no lighted winding country single lane roads. Why didn't this place tell us we had the wrong bulbs? Imagine if we were there for car repairs and needed rear quarter panels but we wrongly received front quarter panels and the replaced the front good panels. We still would have wasted money on unnecessary repairs and still had to have repairs necessary. This is gross incompetence and they refused to give my wife our working bulbs back. This is pathetic, shameful, and negligent while on their part. read more

My husband had Mr. Muffler do his brakes a few years ago and loved them. Somewhere in the beginning of the Pandemic, the exhaust on my beloved Hector got loud. Knowing that it wasn't the worst thing (and having dual exhaust so that in my uninformed mind that meant 2x the problems) I elected to wait a bit to have it addressed. A couple weeks ago, my brakes decided they'd sing their swan song and contribute to the cacophony. Being a safety issue, I made my appointment to Mr. Muffler. I dropped it off and scurried home dreading the call. It came. Very quickly. The gentlemen was informative, and not even a little bit patronizing as he explained my need for brakes, some exhaust parts (less than I thought) and lo and behold some front end work. (in my caution about my muffler falling off and ensuring the car would stop, I admittedly ignored the hopping of my tire that I noticed now and then.) The man between me and my beloved Hector gently quoted me a price that was higher than I hoped, but very reasonable given the work they had ahead of them. I advised him to go ahead and make him safe and quiet, while silently cursing all the potholes that contributed to this unanticipated repair I desperately needed. In a flash, I received a second call. The car was done. I rushed over to be reunited with my car, and almost tried to start it twice. It was so quiet. No rattles. No rumbles. No squeaks. I drove home happily anticipating celebrating with my poor neighbors that were forced to endure Hector's roar for way too long. Alas, none were outside. I had a loud clanging under my car and I had had this in the past so I was pretty sure it was a loose heat shield. I called on Monday morning and the agent was nice and recommended I bring my car in around 1pm. I got there at 12:50. The agent didn't say much, took my key, brought my car into the garage. I sat and read for a few minutes. I had my key in my hand by about 1:05, and he didn't charge me. We talked and he said the heat shield was in fact loose and had gotten a bit bent so he put in some screws and put it back where it belonged. But no charge? Perhaps that's a standard courtesy but in this day and age, it was very generous. Thanks Mr Muffler - I will be back. read more

I just left. I have a handicapped van with modified muffler. I had one person, without looking at it, telling me it would be $300 to $400. The total cost was $170, and I was out within an hour. Fast, thorough, professional, and very well priced. It seems it is hard to always find an honest shop, but I Will never consider taking my vehicles to anywhere but this place for any suspension, break, or exhaust work. read more

Approx 10 years ago when we moved back to Michigan, I took my 1997 Volvo 850glt sedan there. They did my brakes. All 4 of them. And were decently cheap too and car got done while I waited. Then I finally got rid of the Volvo and went back to homegrown. My then pride n joy my 2004 Daimler-Chrysler Pacifica awd got her brakes done, and then mufler. They were good to me. Over the years I moved away from them and started going to a Chrysler dealer instead. Other work that they did not do, engine, heater etc. Then finally 5 yrs of ownership later I go back to them to get a mufler put on, to find out that my frame has rotted out beneath me. . I ended up junking the Pacifica. Now I get a Cadillac and she needed rear brakes. I called around and everyone in the area quoted me around $350 for rotors and pads. These guys quoted me $270 out the door price. I came back to them. Thats when while on the lift, they found my calipers were shot. Recommended to replace both calipers. I said go ahead. $561 later I had new rear brakes, new hoses and new calipers. At least I know again I am safe on the road and I can stop when need be. read more

We dropped my car off before 5pm on a Friday. Drove by their shop before 8am the next day and my car was already up on the hoist. We had let them know we didn't want to put a lot of money into my old car. My car was fixed before 10am for only $60 and sounds better than it has in years! Troy was great! They are the WORST! HORRIBLE! I called to asked how much would it cost to put calipers on my mustang. I was quoted $100 for front and back. I made the appointment and when I arrived I was as told that it was just for the front. I told that clown that I was quoted $100 for both. I told him why would I just get the front done and the back? He said that it would be $50 more. He's full of sh*t. The vibe in that place is all wrong. I left and went to Firestone and Marty by the way is an awesome guy. Great Customer Service. It's now 2/9/19 and just updating my previous review. It's been 1.5 years since the hole was fixed and still working just fine. Like I said in the previous review, another place here in Saline wanted $600 to replace the whole converter back when it was just a hole! Save your money and come here to get your cars looked at. Got my whole suspension replaced here strut's shocks control arms alignment they even put a brake caliper on for me that I bought. Put it on and bleed it for 30$ along with the suspension work. I had hole in my exhaust and a couple missing exhaust hangers. The exhaust pipe was pretty close to dragging on the road. They were able to repair the exhaust and get me back on the road within an hour. The service team was friendly and professional. The repairs look robust and were cost-friendly. Wanted to give a 4 and a half star but only for one reason. Owner must ditch the plug-ins.. We need fresh air and not chemicals. Other than that this place is family owned and been in town for many years. The guys are great and have helped me over and over. Went in for my front brakes, and they did replace them quickly and conveniently. However, after asking and pricing around found that I was overcharged by at least $150. They also told me that several other things around my brakes and rotors were in dire need of immediate replacement, but I didn't have the money for them then. I brought my car to my dad's preferred place and they told me that I had at least a year and a half left on my brakes and parts. So I won't be returning to Mr. Muffler. I can't imagine better service from an auto shop. I've never left a review online for anything, but felt I just had to after the wonderful experience I had with Mr. Muffler in Belleville. Here's my story: I needed a new muffler, and decided to spend the day shopping around the Ann Arbor area, looking for the best price. I called around first to see what wait times would be like, and decided to go to Midas first because they said I could "just bring it in whenever." When I got there, they said it would be about an hour to give me an estimate, so I decided to wait. THREE HOURS LATER, my estimate was done. I specifically marked on their sheet that I only wanted an estimate on my muffler, but they had looked over my whole car and had a list of things for me that they said I absolutely had to have fixed right away (my car is on the older side). The muffler was the least of their concerns, probably because it was the cheapest thing for them to fix. I was furious for having to wait so long for them to just try to sell me things I didn't ask for. After this terrible auto shop experience I was ready to just go home, but decided to stop in Mr. Muffler and see what their wait time would be. Expecting the guy to say it would be a few hours, if at all, until he could get to see my car, he surprised me by saying "sure, I'll do it right now." He took my keys and FIVE MINUTES LATER came back with my estimate, which was $60 less than what Midas had quoted! I was so impressed that he didn't string me along! I went back the next day to have the service done, and packed a bag of work in case it was going to take a few hours. I gave the guy my keys, and he said it would be about 40 minutes! I went across the street to have lunch, thinking there's no way it could go that fast, but not even a half hour later, my car was done! I hadn't even finished my lunch! They charged me exactly what they had quoted me, didn't try to sell me anything extra, and were all very polite and helpful. I don't know much about cars, and tend to be mistaken for a high school kid (I'm 29), so I usually hate having to go to auto shops where I always fear the workers will charge me more than the service is worth, or tell me I need more work done than I really do. I left Mr. Muffler with (figurative) tears of joy, having found a place where I know I can trust the workers to do a great, quick job, and not charge me more than necessary. If I could give them more than five stars, I would, and I will DEFINITELY be taking my car back to Mr. Muffler with any applicable needs. (sorry this was so long!) read more
