The extremely nice lady running the office was 100% honest with me and let me know that they were extremely busy and had vehicles parked out in the street that they still needed to check out and it would be right at 2 weeks before they could check my truck out. She was pretty accurate with that timeline. They checked out my truck and got me a quote (their phones were having issues - so she worked with me via Text (which was awesome as I could handle this all the while continuing my work day!)). She provided me both a quote and ETA of the repair which I promptly agreed to. They had my truck wrapped up & ready for pick up just a few business days later. I picked my truck up and the same nice lady gave me a run down of my repairs and their findings as well as instructions that they put dye in my A/C system so if I had issues just give them a shout. I drove the truck home but still had concerns with the A/C. I texted her and she told me to drop the truck back off. Shortly after our exchange I dropped the truck back off - but had another lengthy discussion about what I was experiencing. Chuck's team took another crack at my problem (Basically the A/C had no freon leaks, and would at times take upwards of 30 mins to cool the truck off. It just didn't cool like it used to.) Within just a few short days - I was given my diagnosis - I wasn't crazy!! I received my quote & ETA of the repair just like last time and Chuck's team delivered once again! I definitely got what I paid for. And like many others - I am a satisfied/happy customer. Definitely my new go-to mechanic!

1/5 -- Horrible Customer Service…read more Service Experience I would not recommend Bill's Towing, its manager Joseph, or the driver Cody to anyone. My experience was extremely unprofessional, stressful, and disappointing from start to finish. When I arrived at Chuck's Garage, the manager at the front desk appeared visibly frustrated that I had brought in a towed vehicle and gave the impression that he did not want the business at all. This made the situation uncomfortable from the beginning. After receiving the quote, which I felt was extremely high, he seemed to pressure me into continuing with the service despite my concerns about the cost. When I decided not to move forward, I stepped outside and was on the phone with Bill's Towing. At that point, the manager came out and said he would charge me $75 if I was going to keep my vehicle there, in a passive-aggressive tone, even though I had already made arrangements to tow my vehicle to another mechanic shop. Pricing Issues Additionally, the company they work with, Chuck's Garage, tried to charge me approximately $700 just to inspect my vehicle and diagnose the A/C problem. I had previously been given a much lower estimate over the phone, but once I arrived, the price was significantly increased, which felt misleading given the circumstances. Wait Time I then waited an hour and a half in 102-degree weather for Bill's Towing after being told the wait would be about 30 minutes, which added even more frustration to an already difficult situation. Staff Behavior Cody the wannabe tough guy was very rude and said it was policy that they could not give rides to the next location; however, after a call with the manager, they said it was not a policy at all. He did not provide me with a ride to the next location and left me stranded. Then, only about five minutes after arriving, he threatened to have my vehicle impounded while I was still on the phone actively trying to arrange payment for the towing service. Overall Experience The entire situation felt rushed, disrespectful, and heavily overpriced. Based on my experience, I would 100% not recommend this business and strongly advise others to take their business elsewhere.

Beware of Phil's Auto Repair. In my experience, this shop is dishonest and will overcharge if given…read morethe opportunity. Low ratings exist for a reason. I've gone there several times for alignments. During my last visit, they told me I needed wheel bearings and gave me a written estimate of about $1,300 for parts and labor. I asked if I could supply my own parts, and they said yes, explaining only that they wouldn't be able to warranty customer-supplied parts. I specifically asked what the labor would cost and was told $645. I ordered the parts and, a few months later, called to make sure the labor price was still the same before bringing my car in. They assured me it was. When I arrived with my parts, instead of pulling up my original estimate, the employee created a new estimate with the labor increased by nearly $300. I stopped him and asked him to print my original estimate. He hesitated and only did so after I repeatedly insisted. The manager then came out and claimed the original labor price was only discounted because I was supposedly buying their parts. That explanation made no sense because I had already told them from the beginning that I would be supplying my own parts, and at that time they still quoted me $645 for labor. They never said that price depended on buying their parts. It felt like an excuse made up on the spot to justify charging me almost $900 in labor. To make matters worse, the parts they wanted to sell me were marked up by more than $500. I bought the exact same brand-new parts myself for only $170. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this shop. Make sure you get everything in writing, compare prices, and don't assume they will honor the estimates they give you. After leaving I discovered that they also have complaints with the Better Business Bureau as well

Beware working with Ryan. He diagnosed a starter replacement on my minivan, and recommended an oil…read morechange. Said he could get the starter the next day. Paid my deposit and never heard from him again. After repeated messages to him, 3 days later he claims to have gotten the starter, but that it was used and he would need to reorder. Proceeds to reorder and then goes silent again. Only after I threatened legal action did I get a response, almost a week after I paid my deposit. After replacing the starter and doing the oil change the car stops working within a day. Towed it to a reputable mechanic who says that Ryan short changed the car 2 quarts of oil, causing irreparable crankshaft and cylinder misfires. Basically, the engine blew because there wasn't oil.

Here's the deal, I was driving down the road in Killeen and my suburban died right in front of Al's…read moreshop. I coasted into the parking lot next-door checked a few items and determine that I had absolutely no idea what was wrong with my truck. Thinking the worst that the fuel pump was bad in my truck. I walked over to the garage and explain my situation and they were happily willing to help and went immediately over to my truck. The next thing I see is my truck being pushed by several employees and pushed onto a lift. Four mechanics immediately want to work to try and figure out what was wrong with my truck. Unlike most shops, they actually took my input and were very receiving of the information that I gave them It took approximately 20 minutes to figure out that the computer had gone bad on my truck! Thinking the worst and thinking thousands of dollars I went inside and they called multiple parts shops and dealers to see if they can get the part. It wasn't available until the day. I was brand-new to the area and they were happy to give me a ride to the rental car company down the street. I called the next day and they stated that my truck would be done by the end of the day and that it would need to go to the dealer to have the computer flashed. When all said and done I was expecting a bill much greater than $1000 and was pleasantly surprised when the bill was just slightly over $600. They had to tow the vehicle, had for mechanics working on it for over two hours and get the parts and a dealership have to flash the computer and then bring it back. They were extremely fair very courteous and upmost they were honest. They could've taken me for a lot of money but there is still some integrity left in the world. One repair was a little splice of a hose from a spare hose they had laying around.. no charge and I was sent on my way. Another repair was a brake system repair and it was a safety issue that was explained to me in detail. Willie and crew are solid mechanics and will give you the best solutions to your repair.

I have owned the same vehicle for 5 years, it had tinted windows when I purchased it. I have never been pulled over for the windows. It has always passed inspection with no problem. This guy tells me I have to remove my tint and replace wiper blades that were replaced 6 months ago. If I was the owner of this place there is no way I would have a guy like this representing my business. He is a miserable human being that takes out his frustrations on paying customers. I guess he thought I was a gullible female that was gonna pay him to remove my tint and change wiper blades. I don't think it's a good idea for repair shops to be inspection stations as well. They use the service as a way to get more business for themselves by fabricating issues that are BS in hopes of making more money. Worst experience ever.
