Been there 2 times, they don't listen to you. I knew I should have gotten a written estimate and not a verbal for replacing my stereo the first time. I asked for a CD player and didn't get one. Then they didn't hook up my amplifier and sub woofer, had to go back. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and brought my van there for a windshield, they didn't hide the wire for the alarm light/ sensor and it was sitting on the dashboard! Who does that? Going back to have them hide the wire and I'm done with these guys. read more

***UPDATE*** Found another glass replacement place in Grand Blanc and took it to them, they said that the aftermarket windshield that was previously installed by Auto1 in Fenton was so cheap that it could not be calibrated. (The same as the Nissan dealer had told us). So they put in another higher quality aftermarket windshield and calibrated it perfectly and it cost me $655 out of pocket Plus whatever I paid Auto1. I called and set up a window tint appointment on my new truck. I waited a long time to buy this truck and couldn't wait to put my own customizations on it. had never had window tint on any of my vehicles before, couldn't afford the extra stuff when I was a young adult. The young man that answered the phone was polite and responsive. Unfortunately appointments were booking 4 weeks out. The only concerns I had were going to dark on my front side windows and the tint stripe going to low across my front wind shield. When I came in for my appointment I asked if he had a tint sample so I could see how dark it was while looking through it. Instead he looked at my like I was stupid for asking such a question, was short with me and just told me they have what's on the wall and appointed to the small samples by the ceiling with a dark back drop making it hard to tell what was what. I made my decision on what I wanted and specifically said I only want four inches of tint from the top of the windshield down because I am 6'3 and didn't want to have to duck to see out at night. Instead I got 8 inches of a curved window tint pattern from the top of the windshield - which is exactly what I did not want. Now I have to slump down over my steering wheel or lean over my center console at night to see out in low light areas that even have street lighting which is super annoying when driving. Long story short I didn't pay $280 to be treated like an idiot for asking some basic customer questions so I know what I am getting and paying for, and I didn't even get exactly what I paid for. Other negatives I definitely enjoy having tint on my front and rear windows. It's not as big of an issue on the side windows at night because you can just roll them down a bit if need be. If the the salesman would have even put in a little effort and I got what I paid for this would have been a four or five star review. read more

Couldn't be more unprofessional. I had Auto One in Fenton install 4 door speakers (plug and play) and a small sub woofer to round out the sound. The new Alpine subwoofer has stopped working twice. I insisted to Jim that wiring or something isn't correct. When the first speaker stopped working he ordered a new one and never called when it was in. Then a week later the 2nd speaker stopped working again. I called and Jim said they would figure it out and call me....never got a call so I called. Jim then said that he called the manufacturer and they haven't called back. 3 days later I checked in again and Jim stated he didn't call the distributor because he's been busy and slipped his mind and that he would call right away and call me back. NO CALL. Called on a Tuesday to check in yet again and said the next speaker would be in on Thursday or Friday. I call on Friday and Jim said the UPS driver didn't show up (there was a ups package by the front counter. I'm still waiting to hear back.... I will never deal with this place again nor will I recommend anyone to go there unless they would like this sort of service. read more

I would have recommended Auto One in Fenton to anyone, I have had both of my vehicles windows tinted there with great results with the exception of one window and when trying to get fixed because of workmanship issues was basically told to get bent by the man behind the desk. Its unfortunate to see Tina no longer works there she was great to deal with and took care of people. I must also mention that i was going to have them install a remote start on my truck but after seeing how much of a fight they were putting up over fixing window (which by the way the man never even asked to see my car so he had no idea what i was even talking about just refused me service) i must be honest my cars tint was out of warranty as of 1/16/14 but seriously were talking less than twenty days lets get real not 3 years or something outrageous needless to say i asked for my money back on the remote start because if thats the kinda of service i get with window tint god only knows what these guys will do with the wiring under my dash and if something goes wrong. I can not speak for other locations in fact i will probably go to the one in Brighton but Fenton it's out of the question employees are a joke. This was all over a $160 dollars and they lost a life time of business and any one i know. If i can spread the word to keep there cars outta there and save them the anguish i went through. read more
