I don't recommend using this dealer. They list the price of a vehicle and then start charging you extra for itemized stuff that they "added" to the vehicle afterwards, like $500.00 for a "clear coat package", $1000.00 for "lo-jack", another $1000.00 for "powder-coated" rims, etc. When I told them that I don't want any of that extra stuff and that I just want the vehicle they listed for the listed price, they responded with, "uh those things are already installed so we have to charge for them because we can't uninstall them." To which I responded, " Then why did you list that vehicle for that price when you're really asking for $3,000.00 more than the listed price?" The sales guy's voice stumbled and could not answer the question. Beware: This place lists a lower price so that autotrader and KBB will give their listing a "Great" price label but they're really going to charge you a few grand more than their listed price. If anyone at this dealer is reading this, here's some advice: If you list a vehicle for a certain price, that price should be for the vehicle in it's entirety with everything currently on or in it. That is what makes the vehicle. I don't see you guys paying an itemized amount when someone goes in there to trade in a vehicle that KBB says is only worth $3,000.00, but the vehicle has a fully upgraded motor with performance parts adding up to more than $30,000.00. To give 5 stars or 1 star was a difficult decision to make. The salesman, Ram was absolutely fantastic and deserves 5 stars. Very respectful, heard what I had to say and not contradicting or disrespectful. I went to see a 2015 Spark EV. It was advertised as a 2LT, which it wasn't (no fast charge port). The car wasn't in the best looking condition I.e. paint and road rushed rims but for $7700.00 it was to be expected and the car was fairly priced. However, the dealer, whom deserves NO STARS, packed on a few completely useless items that I had absolutely no use for like lo-jack (the car has OnStar) and so called door edge protectors for $1290.00. They also tried to charge for a smog certificate and some sort of smog fee....on an electric car? Also the only switch blade type remote for the car had a hole where a button should be and the key was broken and bent taped to the back of remote. They offered to replace it BUT if that's the case why not have it replaced before showing the car? Which turned this reasonably priced car to just over a $10k bucket. Ram I hope to God you find your way to an honest and respectable dealer like DeLillo or Connell Chevy as your talent is being waisted. To those of you who are reading this if your considering a fairly priced used car then run from this place! You'll be much farther ahead by putting your money in a bag and setting it on fire! I'm an older retired woman and I regret going to this car Dealership alone. I thought I could trust these guys but I was wrong. I just read a review somebody else wrote about the fact that they add things on to the price without originally telling you. I had that same experience. They advertise the car for one price and then they start adding on things that were not mentioned in the original advertised price. They told me I had to have lo-jack, powder coating for the wheels and clear coat for paint protection. I didn't want those things and at first I didn't realize I was paying extra for them. I hadn't bought a car for over 17 years and I got confused. I wish I had walked away but unfortunately I didn't. I bought the car and I'm extremely regretful...I was way overcharged. If you go here, watch them carefully and don't let them sell you things you don't expect or want. I got my car appraised about a month after I bought it and It didn't appraise well. I visited Auto Republic Orange to purchase a vehicle. I haven't bought a car in over a decade so I wasn't aware of the ins and outs and went in there as a single lady. I called ahead to make sure I could test drive it and made an appointment. Chris was supposed to help me but he was distracted with other customers after our test drive and Marco took over with pricing information even though Chris had said we could come to a deal. Marco didn't introduce himself and I felt rushed and later said he was Chris' manager and that he wouldn't let Chris make a deal without his approval. I was clear that I had my own financing and cash but Marco kept trying to push financing on me with high interest rates (6% & 5%) and extra financing fees even though I have excellent credit and my bank didn't have those additional fees and my interest rate was 3.89 from my bank. Before they ran my credit I asked what the lowest credit rate they offered was to see if it was worth dinging my credit to see if they could beat my bank. Chris told me 3-4%. I don't believe that was true as they came back with 6% and then 5% (again even though I told them I didn't need financing they kept bring me finance numbers). They also tried to deceive me with several other things. For example the mandatory Lojack add on that they put on all their cars will "pays for itself" (not true, with Geico it only saves you $8 a year in only NYC and CA and doesn't work nationwide and the car already had an anti theft system which also gives you a discount). There was also a charge for $300 that would allow me to return the car within 48 hours if "anything happened to it or I didn't like it." I declined that and said "I'm pretty sure you can't sell me a lemon." Marco said the lemon law only applies to new cars. Not true! California Civil Code Sections 1790-1797 makes this very clear. I never saw the final contract so unless they put that the car is being sold "as is" or "with all faults" to try and get around this law and deceive you, the lemon law does apply to used cars. Marco added on a warranty and when I tried to negotiate the final price Marco said that was the best deal. I went to leave but then he said he would rework the cost and come down. Marco actually just removed the warranty, even though I had said I wanted the warranty, and lowered the cost of the lojack and mandatory paint package slightly ($200) making it look like I was saving a few thousand. When I noticed it was gone he changed the pitch to "oh actually you don't need the warranty the car still had an active warranty and when that is done in 2 years I'll give you a deal on a new warranty." I put down money for them to hold the car (I needed to measure my garage) and when I came home and did more research I saw many reviews about the shadiness. I reviewed the final list of charges and discovered they were trying to charge hidden fees that were not disclosed in the web advertisements including document fee, smog fee, electronic reg fee (this is actually a dealer fee and has nothing to do with registration) and a clean pro package which violates the Vehicle Code Section 11713.1 law which requires dealers to specifically disclose these things in the ad if they aren't included in the list price. When I called my bank to make the wire transfer the gentleman at the bank asked why I wasn't using my credit card because I got cash back and could immediately pay it off with the cash without fees. I told him I wanted to but the dealership told me there was a $4500 limit. He informed me that it wasn't true and they could make an exception and that he often talks to customers who do this and to ask for an exception. They would not make an exception. I felt like I was being taken advantage of and when I voiced my concerns to Marco I was passed around to several people including a "manager" named Caesar (but on the website he is just an "Internet Sales Consultant") and Eddie (also a "manager") who isn't listed on the site. I voiced my concerns to Eddie and then he refused to sell me the car. Didn't even try to make any of it right. Chris called me a few hours later to ask me why I hadn't come to pick up the car. He was very concerned with my experience and said what happened wasn't right. I let him know about the lojack insurance discrepancy so hopefully he won't make that mistake again. He said he was going to talk to the COO the next day about what happened, asked if I still wanted the car and said he would call me back. That was 5 days ago and I never heard from him. These guys will take advantage of you if you let them. The whole team is in on it. I'm sad that I couldn't buy the car, I really loved it. I thought they would address my concerns and make it better. I flat out told Eddie I still wanted to buy the car and fixing the pricing issues would have made me happy but he refused. In the end its better that I didn't give them my money. Watch out for these guys. Educate yourself. READ the contract. read more

I just bought a BMW X5 from Auto Republic and it wasn't a 1 day go in, shop and buy kinda movement. I saw this beautiful deep dark blue BMW. I css as led and talked to Marco( sale guy) He was not pushy almost very quiet and very very laid back but he answered a few questions then we went in a test drive. I left and he didn't pressure me to buy it, he just asked if I was interested in the car. I left and said I would come back tomorrow however I never did, b/c I wanted to keep looking " just" in case I found another BMW I liked better. He did txt me on a few occasions to check in and see if I might be interested in the car. I took another 3 wks before I came back and Marco was more attentive by having a better attitude about his service approach. I ended up buying the BMW and as promised he had paperwork ALL ready to go because it took way to long the first time and I didn't want to wait 3 -4 plus hours to finish paperwork. ( I had already got an approval from my credit union and the dealership has a relationship with them so there is a system with all necessary info completed before I came back sign the final paperwork. ( took 45/60 mins to complete!) The finance guy who went thru all the paperwork was Super Nice and helpful with all the details!! So just be sure to ask for what you need and they will accommodate as much as they can in the paperwork part. Car was clean, charged up and ready to go. read more

I Did the online app and they ran my credit and called me to say everything was good I asked them about finance rates and lender approval which Fernando gave me. All I needed to do was drive down to Orange from Murrieta, give my 4K down payment, sign and drive off. Keep in mind that I had been communicating with Fernando for 2 days and he already has my paystubs, bill to verify residence and drivers license. I'm about 5 miles away from the dealership, and Fernando calls to let me know the bank is putting the loan on hold and that he would call as soon as he heard back. Funny, I thought everything was good to go from what Fernando had stated. I let him know to not bother and would rather not do business with him. So this company has a truck on their lot that has been there for 4 months.. They have moved it to 4 different locations of theirs. I asked a sales rep if they would like to make a sale today or let the truck sit there for 4 more months... He said that they are not willing to make a sale for a reasonable price.. All their truck prices are 10,000 higher than blue book values.. They are willing to let a vehicle sit on the lot for 4 more months than actually make a sale.. Went in with my boyfriend to purchase the 2016 Camaro 2ss after two days of having the car the engine blew and started making a knocking noise. Checked the engine to find out there was no oil in the car and the dip stick being bone dry. When calling the dealership to tell them what happen they told us to just add oil and take it back to get checked out but nothing would be done until Monday (which it was a Saturday). We drove down with out the car and talked to one of the managers Ram, after an hour of being there we finally were able to get in writing that they would get the car towed to their dealer to get checked out to see if the deal was able to be canceled. I'm the mean time we had three mechanics look at the car which all has said there was engine damage due to the lack of oil. Once the tow truck driver came he had admitted that the car had sounded "pretty messed up". We proceeded to tell two managers to not work on the car at all without us approving. Later got a call from Ram saying "good news there's nothing wrong with the engine it's a faulty fuel injector" and that there had been oil. We showed up once again to show them our mechanic papers and see what the real issue with the car was. After walking in and asking to speak to Ram he began by saying that there was oil in the car and he wasn't sure how we had seen there was none. We wanted to talk about canceling the deal since we've had 3 mechanics tell us the same thing but the denied canceling it due to it "still being drivable". He called one of the higher manager, Harold, who had seemed surprised about the whole situation as if he was unaware it was even an issue. As we were talking about the car the story kept changing to the oil being full to "maybe there's only a little bit of oil and maybe we had wiped the dip stick" which he then ended up saying he has no idea what's going on with the car that he's only been in the office. We asked to see the car and Harold had told us the shop was closed and there were no mechanics on site, after a couple mins we had asked again and Ram mentioned that he could take us back to see and to our surprise there was a mechanic there and the car has been taken part already. My boyfriend began to pull the dip stick out to see there being oil then began wiping the dip stick clean with his shirt and took a picture to show the comparison of our first picture and the one we took in-front of them. The next day Harold had said they were going to fix the car no matter what which we responded with sending the video of the engine knocking which he had refused to see the day prior. He then finally agreed to cancel the deal and give us our money and traded car back. read more

Now there excuse was that the bank didn't want to finance me and they wouldn't sell me the truck, i asked why not today if on Friday the deal was done the Finance guy said That deal with only on Friday that they were pushing the bank.so Now that I agreed on their numbers they said it was too late 2 days later really.. short story long Friday they were able to sell it to me Monday they couldn't anymore It honestly looks like they weren't trying to sell me anything.
