Bought a car here and it didn't even make it home without the check engine light coming on. I was in and out of the mechanic shop and ended up spending 5 thousand on needed service. When I brought it up to California Cars they said "well, you already bought the car and you can't come back to us after time has passed." Crazy to hear that after just 1 day of having the car. California cars was nice enough to reimburse me 1,000. What a joke. They sold me a bad car and graciously gave me that. I was surprised with the low ball amount, given that they had to know the car wasn't right. Even after the 5k in service, the car still had other issues. So I ended up trading it in and incurring negative equity unnecessarily. I always heard it was a bad idea to buy from used luxury dealers like this that provide no warranty, but now I know. So i was working with a good friend that didn't live in LA to find a particular "enthusiasts" sports car and we found one California Car Company in Brea. Some calls, some emails...I went to see the car to drive it and do PPI for my buddy and it was a clean car. I dealt with Ryan. Very nice guy, upfront about the history and their pricing, and he was easy to communicate with. Not pushy. Best experience I have ever had buying a car. I had to write this review after having the absolute worst experience accompanying my mother to Moss Brothers VW in Moreno Valley. That place was almost a parody of slimy used car salesmen. What a difference between that experience and the one I had with California Car Company in Brea. I did my research and looked at two 4Runners. We asked some questions and left to look at others cars on my list. The only thing the salesman said was: "We have the best deals. You will be back."
