I purchased a vehicle from this company paid $1000 more then I wanted and then before my first payment the check engine light comes on and I'm told well it's after 30 days we cant work on it we won't get paid unless the office approves called the office several times during lunches and breaks and they tell me service is going to call and it will be up to them if they can do the work. The same service that said it was up to the office. Was told I would receive a call before my lunch break is over and did I get a call? No! This is my worst experience with a car place I have gotten a great experience from A+ motors the man's name was Ali. I wish I had went to him this time. I can tell you no one in my family will ever go back to this place and if any of my customers ask me about a car place I will tell them all about Auto Resources and how they don't care for their customers. Good thing I work in the customer service field and will be sure that I inform my customers of this experience. For reference the vehicle I purchased was at the end of February and issues started before 30 days and they reset my screens on my car assuring me they did service it. Well firstly I want to say the buying experience portion was easy , but after a week of having this car it was completely a different story ... my Ac went out after the first week I called and it took two weeks to get an appointment with Gino... just to find out that my condenser had a hole which you would think with a proper inspection it would of been discovered beforehand. not to mention my carbon spoiler was an aftermarket and they failed to tell me that so with closer inspection you can see the fiberglass residue left behind that AR refused to help with. I bought a 2022 Toyota Camry from them. They were not honest in fees I barely bought it in December. I've been charged twice for estimated DMV fees then when I had asked if there was anything else that was gonna be charged or was I all good everything was supposed to be paid for which is usually the DMV registration I just got a bill for $435 so now I have to make a $550 car payment and a $435 registration payment in one month on top of that. Trust me when I say do not EVER GO HERE. I recently got a 2016 Dodge Charger only 40k miles they acted so cool with me, they told me this car was super reliable and that I won't have any problems with it. I gave a $8500 deposit. Although I read the contract He never read the contract to me and just told me to sign here and there. ( mat was the dealer) ((I was told he has been moved to a different position)) they never offered any additional warranty besides there stup1d 30 day warranty or 1000 miles. everything was fine with my charger so I gained a lot of trust for them and even recommended this dealer to a lot of my friends and my parents and sibling so came also looking for a car. These guys where cool untill right after my warranty ends and my cars check engine light turns on, it first said I was getting a misfire on 3 of my cylinders which is not a big problem but still, I just got my car and it's giving problems already. I go and spend $250 on 16 new spark plugs and the car was good for 5 minutes and then started giving problems again. Now the car is totally undrivable, the catalytic converter is clogged, the engine is overheating and rich, and the fuel injectors and coil packs are messed up. I go to try to get them to fix it and the dealers where straight up being rude and saying it has nothing to do with them and there not gonna do anything about it. I called multiple times to talk to the service manager and never did I get a call back these guys scam you and take advantage of you. $8500 in the drain thousands of dollars to fix the car just fixing the catalytic converter is 3k. No thank you these guys treat you like there friend but the whole time they are just taking advantage of you. After my car had problems I came and saw the reviews on yelp and a lot of people are having the same problem with these guys giving out trash cars and not offering warranty. Do NOT buy a car from Auto Resources . They do not check car's for recalls !!!!!!! Let me tell you why. On March of 2018 I purchased a vehicle from them. Only 6 months after I bought it, the alternator caught on fire with my KID'S inside! I was driving when suddenly the car stopped and smoke was everywhere. I rushed my kids out the car & had the car towed. After taking it to a mechanic they said it had a recall! Razzari in Merced fixed the recall. Only to find out that it had another recall on the brakes! The recalls came out a month BEFORE they sold me the car. The recall letter was sent to THEM & yet they failed to tell me. When I called them and told them about the bumper of the 2017 Ford Fusion wasn't placed right he said he couldn't do anything. So I tried talking to some manager and they got the car to fix. They literally placed washers on bumper to lift it up. And also it had a piece of wood as a part for the car. Which idiot that that. I also found out that the radiator doesn't have mounting. The hell. If radiator don't have a mounting it will making noise and fall down. The fan is in pieces too. I've taken the car to the dealership twice and still they haven't fixed what I asked them. I pulled over on a whim late one Friday night and to be honest I'm kinda glad I did just for the story. I was greeted by a very cliche used car salesmen who reeked of sleaze. Right off the bat he wanted to offer me 1,500 dollars to "trade in" my car and was animate on a handshake agreement. Keep in mind we had not even talked about car prices at this point (first red flag). To top it off, none of the cars have prices on them and they seem to make them up as they see fitting. Basically they will "give you" 1,500 and adjust the price of their car in order to make you feel like you got a deal. I was looking for a Dodge Challenger and the salesmen let me know that they just got one in, but it was at another location. He then called an associate to bring it to me to look at. The associate arrived around 5 minutes later in a completely different car, and said if I wanted to see the Challenger I would have to go to the other lot. In the meantime he wanted me to try that car out and drive it to the other lot leaving my vehicle behind thus putting them in a power position where i would be stranded at their second lot (second red flag). I declined and drove my own car. (At this point It was becoming comical but i decided to go with it to see just how sleazy they could get.) When I arrived at the next lot I was taken into an old aluminum roof building where there were as sea of these grease balls all trying to sell cars to lower income families. The salesmen let me know that the Challenger had just arrived and was still in their garage so he had me follow him to check it out. When I got to the garage I was surrounded by cars that looked like they had just been pulled out of hurricane Harvey. He said and I quote "Don't worry...we'll wash it for your before you leave." Very confidently. I then followed him into the finance office where they then threw out a ridiculous price that made absolutely no sense based off Blue Book and Edmunds and I declined his offer. After many bad sales tactics straight out of Glengary Glenn Ross I got up and decided this joke of a dealership was not going to get a dime of my money. On June 23rd I made an inquiry to a vehicle that they had on their website. A 2005 Mustang GT Windveil Blue Convertible. There were no pictures posted. Even so, I inquired through car gurus expecting to get a phone call. Of course I did. Briefly spoke to Jay. I asked for photos of the car. Being a convertible I was very specific to what I wanted. Motor shots, Convertible Top pictures, Side shots, and interior photos. A week later no pictures up, and Jay again promised that he would get me photos. Shortly thereafter, there were photos on the website. Again, I asked for photos. I got two photos of the engine and side view. Also I asked for the car fax at least 5 times. Dealing with a used care lot has never been fun as I always BUY NEW, but in this instance I was adamant about the photos. I heard crickets. So after two weeks of playing the waiting game, I drove from Gilroy to Merced a nice 95 mile one way trip in the 100' degree heat. I halve hearted to actually see the car. I brought my wife, and my son in case I actually bought the car if it was there. Well, I drove up and I see three guys leaning in chairs with a (keyboard) all the keys of the 20 cars in the lot. WTF. I drove around to verify the address, and yep I'm at the place. I ask for Jay. Well, he's there. Surprised to see me because I was their unannounced. They told me that the car was at another lot. Before going, I asked again for the car fax. There's some scrambling and another car of salesguys come by. OK, Where's the car fax. Well I finally got something, not a car fax out of the Sales building. So I follow a group of "Sales Guys" SMH to another lot. I quickly glance over their vehicles, a better mix and condition than the other lot but still they were late model auction cars. Easy to tell. Out in front I quickly spot the vehicle that I came to view. As Jay walks with me briskly to the car almost like a new father, I'm quickly taken aback. The back window was glued back in on the convertible top by a 5th grader. The top had multiple holes in it that had been patched and the edges were so worn that the stitching was coming undone. I quickly shot the sales guy a nasty look. How dare you try and hide this major problem. I walked over to the door, and opened it. The door panels were pealing from the door, a common problem but something that should have been addressed before the car was listed. The back seat was missing a seat belt, and the door was missing a grommet. No floor mats, and also no convertible boot. The glovebox is broken as well. The positive was the car was well kept and accident free. Frame is straight, tires were semi new and the paint was in good condition. So we go on a test drive. By this time I new guy is trying to woo me. Sergio. My son stayed at the dealership with Jay while my son and I went out. This whole time he tried to sell me son on this and that. My son knows that I have purchased over 25 vehicles from dealerships new, and I won't stand for fast talk. So I decided to take a fly on the car. I have a 810 credit score so financing would not be an issue. OK, I know that your a used car dealer so I anticipated they would try to sneak a funny finance rate on me. Sergio I said "put your four square sheet away'. Sergio was somewhat engaging but what I would consider a closer. I slashed 3 grand off the price for the obvious defects. We settled on a price and they processed my info. We waited waited waited and waited. Sergio made small talk, but I wasn't buying it. After 90 minutes of waiting I excused my self and went outside and texted Jay and told him that I was walking. Even though I was the only person there, there was no reason for such a long delay. I wished that Josh would have been there so we could have excluded the monkey business. At least I could have shot a commercial. LMAO. I don't know Josh but I watched his commercials. Sergio told my wife that she would not be on the Title because she had never bought a car before. Excuse me! We have a 2015 in my wifes name. We can't get you a rate better than x....... better go back to your computer. The signing process, was even worse. Both guys were clueless. What's a gap coverage.... Surely your not trying to sneak that in. Why do salespeople handle the finance part of the deal. The only way that I found about the financing company was it appeared on my credit report via Experian. They couldn't tell me...... There are so many choices when it come to buying cars, be informed, and be prepared. I spoke to Josh on 8/19 in reference to my review of Auto Resources. I get it.
