I will say this, as a man that has maintained and fixed all of my vehicles my entire life, it was hard for me to have to decide on finding someone to take care of my daughter's car while 3.5 hours away in Orlando for college at UCF. Originally, I had her and her twin brother bringing their cars back to South Florida for me to do routine maintenance. Then while her car was parked at her apartment, squirrels or rats climbed up and chewed the fuel lines coming from the pump at the tank. I took my 2006 highlander in to be checked after it started making a loud noise in the engine compartment. I was dreading the diagnosis as it's an older car and at the point where I have to think long and hard before dedicating significant $ to its upkeep. I got a call later that day telling me that the battery tray had become loose and shifted into the path of the radiator fan. They told me they simply slid it back into position and tightened the bolt. They also replaced a burned out bulb in the rear passenger light set. When I picked it up, they told me "no charge"! I know the repairs were minor, but it still required some labor to diagnose and fix. This isn't my first good experience with Auto Tender. They've been honest and reasonably priced every time, where they could have padded the bill and I'd have never known. read more

This was my first time using them based on a recommendation from my neighbor. I called them for brakes abs they took me the same day. They called me after looking it over and over told me I'd need brakes all around and could use new rotors. Since I'm on layoff, I told him I'd have to wait on the rotors. He was very understanding and told me if I came back while the pads were still under warranty, that he'd replace the pads when doing the rotors. His charge for the brake pads was very fair. When I picked up the car, I found out he had also replaced a burned out brake light at no extra charge. I know that's not a high-dollar item, but the gesture alone was enough to tell me what kind of place this is. read more

I brought my car in for an issue causing my car to spit out codes without having any symptoms, and here's the rundown on why I will be hesitant to go back: -Took them over two weeks for diagnosis. -Upon receiving my vehicle , there was Wendys trash in it that I later found. Issue not correctly pointed out. -Went to replace a part (a second time) that I was told it was fine only to find out that such part now had a broken off piece that was there before. This indicated that the part was broken off there and I was not told about it. -A sub $100 part fixed my issue and I was told I needed a $1k+ engine engine work. read more

Left my car there and 3 hours later (less than originally estimated) was called with a diagnosis and told I could come pick it up! I had an issue with auto tender a month ago. I try to give them the benefit of the doubt and reach out to them for a different situation on my car. I received a message to call someone back by the name of Evon. I'm thinking we going ti discuss the situation with the car, instead she decides to bring up the issue that happen a mth ago. She tells me that I called then saying it was my radiator meanwhile that's not what happened at all. She sounded upset and she's telling me I'm upset. They are not professional at all so I told her I will take my business elsewhere. I guess my first impression of them was accurate. If your car has an issue a diagnostic needs to be done to fix the issue. Instead they felt like your car needs this so we put that no that's not how it works. When I was having some issues with my car that my regular place couldn't handle, they recommended I call Auto-Tender. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, helpful and came across as caring. When it came time for repairs and options, they explained what could be done, what needed to be done - and what wasn't absolutely necessary. They didn't use any tricks or any "Well, I *gueess* you can just do this, but we really recommend you paying out the nose" nonsense. Prices seemed reasonable for car-repairs (which, let's be honest - always seem overpriced). I had 2 oil changes at different places when I was out of town on 2 occasions and both said I needed my transmission fluid flushed. And both times I took it to Guy at Auto Tender and he said it didn't need done. That other places rip you off because they make a lot of money off changing your fluids. From the beginning Nick was straight forward in letting me know what was wrong with the car. They found the problem plus were able to provide additional items (i.e. brakes & door sensor). My daughter picked up the car and she is very happy with the repairs. She is now able to move around. STEER YOUR VEHICLE IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION! Nothing tender about it. More like a rubbery steak that I had to chew on for 16 days. I had called in advance to set up an appointment. When I arrive, there is one guest in front of me talking with an employee. Two other employees behind the desk were talking. I'm waiting. Am I greeted? Nope. Once I'm helped, I explain the problems that I would like fixed. I'm estimating that I had at least $2000 (if not more) of work to be done. All minor, but a lot of age-related service repairs. I was told to write it down. Seriously? Shouldn't you be the one to write it down? This is your business. Not mine. I should have turned around and walked out at that point, but based on all the glowing (if real) Google reviews, I decided to give them a chance. I'm told I would receive a call in two days with an estimate because they were really busy. 2 days go by, 3 days go by. I call for an update. "We're still accessing the repairs for your estimate." 2 more days go by, 3 days, I call again, "We should have the parts ordered in a few more days." It's now been 6 days, I haven't even been called with an estimate yet. This back and forth continues without a single phone call from them, for a total of 11 DAYS! Alway's the same response, same excuse, rinse, repeat. I decided enough is enough and came to pick up my vehicle. I noticed it wasn't even in the shop. It was parked out back. Had they even worked on it at all these past 11 days? I walked in, and again I wasn't acknowledged or greeted. Finally I got an employee's attention and nicely told him I wanted my vehicle back because this situation was not working for me. Their response was like a deer in the headlights. In a robotic monotone voice, I got the same excuse: "We are really busy and have to special order the parts." I explained nicely about my disdain for the 11 days of excuses. Was I apologized to? Nope. Was I given the same excuse? Yes. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. Boring... I know, right? At this point, I went outside to get in my vehicle, thinking I was finally done with this place. LOL! I wish! My LEFT SIDE DRIVER'S MIRROR WAS COMPLETELY GONE! Was Auto Tender actually thinking I wouldn't notice this? I walk back into the shop and asked what happened. "It was broken off when we put the vehicle on the lift." My response, "so were you not going to tell me this?" Their response, "We will be happy to order you a replacement." My response, "Why have you not already ordered the replacement of my mirror since you've had my vehicle for 11 days and you've obviously been aware of it." "Oh, I guess we forgot. We are really busy." Seriously? I stood there waiting for the employee to locate my broken mirror, then write the order for a new one. To give them credit, they did pay for the mirror free of charge. Really Auto Tender? You FORGOT? So now I had to wait another 5 days to pick up the replacement mirror that you broke, and failed to mention to me. "Is this really happening?" I was thinking. "Am I in an episode of the Twilight Zone?" It's so moronic, it's comical. TOTAL TIME OUT OF MY LIFE THAT I SPENT WITH THIS BUSINESS WAS 16 DAYS. Was my vehicle ever serviced or repaired? Nope, nothing done. Since you were "waiting on the parts" perhaps you could have been working on the other items I needed serviced that didn't require "the parts" like an oil change, tune-up, checking the brakes, etc. Was I ever called with an estimate or update? Nope, not once. So long Auto Tender! Finally, I'm done with you! You had so many missed opportunities to make it right with me. You had the opportunity to gain a loyal customer for life as well as my friends, family, and client referrals. Yes, Auto Tender, I'm in the customer service business myself, with a very large client base. But alas, my new mechanic will be enjoying all of the financial benefits from me, and my referrals, for years to come. They know how to embrace an opportunity! (and how to order parts) read more

I was very leery about finding a mechanic in the area. My 16 y/o son bought a used car and it sounded like a jet taking off, lol! I called Auto-Tender and they gave me a very reasonable estimate over the phone for what I asked to be replaced. I dropped the car off and asked them to give it a quick once-over to be sure it was safe to drive. Eric called me within a few hours and had a list of what needed to be done, what could wait, and what was optional. He spoke to me in layman's terms (I'm a nurse, NOT a mechanic) and was open to questions. They had found a few things that were a safety concern for a newly licensed 16 y/o driver. We ended up having some extra things done and the car was still done the same day. They called me when it was done. When I arrived, Eric went over the bill with me in detail, provided a written estimate for what should be done in the future, and was very professional and courteous. I came here about a month or so ago because my car was overheating when I took it on long highway drives. I don't remember the name of the guy who helped me, but he was very straightforward and friendly. He told me what the problem was and what they had to do to fix it. Seeing as I was a young woman by myself in an auto shop who knows nothing about cars, these guys could have easily scammed me, but they didn't -- I talked to my dad afterward and told him how much they charged me, and he said it was the right price for what they did to the car. Everything has been running great since. The only down side was that I had to wait a while for the work to be done, but that was probably because I didn't have an appointment.
