The young lady was just returning from lunch. Again, good timing. Everyone is happy with a full belly. Handed her my paperwork & asked if I could get a placard to have when I ride with others. She stated my "plates" were coming up as temporary. (Which is not possible, they do not issue PLATES as temporary, only the red placard.) I showed her my proof that my disability is permanent. She gave me my sticker. I went to my car, pulled out the paperwork from last year, & lo & behold I had renewed 8n thr exaxt date a year before. Too funny. Well, it also had my orthopedic surgeon's medical information on my permanent disability. I marched right back in; again no waiting. I was merely informed to go see the same lady. I did. The guy she was assisting Was having issues with his handicapped plates as well. About 30 minutes after I sat down, she was ready for me. She called her supervisor over, showed my permanent paperwork. He disappeared with my paperwork. She vanished, then came back with a blue placard for me, & apologized for the error. I told her no harm, no foul. It happens. Absolutely excellent customer service at this location, & that's why I only go to this location. The young lady that worked at window #13 on the afternoon of 11 June 2021 is a fantastic employee. She never huffed, rolled her eyes, or became frustrated. She handled everything the incorrect system handed her with ease & grace. Great location.

I went to 5 different us d car dealers on the day I went there. JC and FA were the most professional and had the nicest cleanest cars. I know this sounds cornet but they do treat you like family. JC introduced us to his brother and parents and made it super easy to buy a car from them. I am going to bring my mother, son and father in law there to get cars also. I didn't have to haggle for hours or wait for them to come back to talk to me after an extended period of time to come up with a price. I picked up my car on Friday and JC washed it one last time as I was finishing the paperwork. He would not let me leave until he had dried it off and made sure it looked perfect. I got a call today 1 working day after I got my car to tell me they had my license plates in. I don't plan on replacing my car anytime soon but, I would not hesitate to go back there to get another car and plan on going to them in a couple years when my daughter gets her license. While my Tundra had a prepaid service plan, I occasionally brought the FJ in, too, mostly out of convenience. For a while, it worked out. But once I started doing my own service again, I started noticing things that left me frustrated and concerned. First, on the Tundra: When I went to do my own oil change after the service plan expired, I found that several bolts securing the oil filter access shield were missing. These aren't obscure or hard to reach bolts. They were clearly left out. It looked like someone intentionally skipped reinstalling them to make future removal easier, which might sound helpful unless you're the owner who expects your vehicle to be put back together properly. Then came the FJ Cruiser. I've had the cabin air filter replaced at Red McCombs several times. Anyone who's done it knows there's a small shock dampener behind the glove box that needs to be removed to get to it. When I went to replace it myself recently, the dampener was completely missing. No one ever told me. Did they forget to reinstall it? Or just not care? Fast forward to about six months ago. The Tundra was at Red McCombs briefly for an insurance-related repair, and I figured I would pay for an oil change while it was there. Seemed simple enough. When I went to change the oil recently, I found that every single screw clip that secures the front bumper trim to the skid shield was gone. These clips are easy to remove and replace. No excuse for leaving them out. Yet again, it was sloppy and lazy work. None of this was catastrophic, but that's not the point. Every nut and bolt on that vehicle belongs to me. If you're removing them, you should be putting them back. I'm left asking myself: What else didn't they do? Did they fully drain the oil? Did they even install the new filter I paid for? What other shortcuts were taken that I cannot see? It's clear to me now that Red McCombs Toyota Service repeatedly cut corners. Whether it's due to laziness, lack of training, or trying to get jobs done faster, I don't know. What I do know is I shouldn't have to spend my own time crawling under my vehicle to reinstall bolts and replace missing hardware because someone didn't do their job. I'm done with Red McCombs Toyota Service. If you care about your vehicle, check their work. Because, based on my experience, they might not.
