I'm sure they could hear me coming a mile away. When I pulled up, Carlos came outside and checked out my car. He asked me to turn the wheel all the way to the right and he got underneath my car. Literally five minutes later he got up and told me to drive my car around the block. THE SOUND WAS GONE! It turns out something under the car bent into the wheel and was causing the noise. Since it only took him 5 minutes to fix it he HE TOLD ME HE WASN'T EVEN GOING TO CHARGE ME. WHAT?! I was so pleasantly surprised. He literally made my day. It's obvious that I am a women who doesn't know the first thing about cars. He easily could have told me that it was going to take 3 days and $800 bucks and I would have had to take his word for it. Yesterday, I unexpectedly learned that I needed to purchase new tires and get a wheel alignment. It completely caught me off guard, and I was stressed and overwhelmed, spending the night and early morning calling and comparing more than 10 shops in the area. I tried calling Affordable Tire Center after hours and didn't leave a voicemail, but as soon as they opened, Sal returned my missed call. That simple gesture already meant a lot. He provided me with a quote that was the best price out of all the other shops I contacted -- including Costco. He let me know the tires weren't currently in stock but assured me he would get them as quickly as possible. Sal had the tires delivered in less than five hours and was able to get me in right away. The entire service -- replacing two tires and completing a wheel alignment -- took under an hour. I was having a really difficult day and felt overwhelmed by the unexpected expense, but Sal's kindness, professionalism, and flexibility truly made all the difference. I'm incredibly thankful for the care and efficiency I experienced today.

I seem to have the worst luck when it comes to auto mechanics. Let me preface this review with the…read morefact I am not implying that this mechanic is a lousy mechanic. Simply put, this particular experience warrants a poor review. For some time, my car had a barely noticeable oil leak from a bad oil pressure switch sensor, and I just couldn't find the time to crawl under there and swap it out. Unrelated to the oil leak, my temperature warning light came on during my commute to work. Victor was able to book me in the next day. Again, chronically short on time, juggling a very busy schedule, I saw it fit to just let a professional take a look, diagnose and repair the car. This shop came highly recommended by several friends. I dropped the car off first thing in the morning. Later that evening he finished up with the car. According to his diagnosis, the radiator cap was broken, and was leaking fluid causing the engine to overheat. He replaced the cap and the oil sensor. I was billed $240 for about an hour of his time/labor($180/hr), a radiator cap ($8 at auto zone), and the oil sensor ($23 at auto zone) plus a top off of coolant. The price was fair. Could I have done it myself and saved $180? Yes. Not the point. The very next day, after having the problem "diagnosed and fixed", my car overheats again. This time, considerably farther from home and power loss experienced. The tow was quoted at $900. Needless to say, I didn't pay for a tow. I was able to limp the car off the freeway and down to the closest parts store and get some coolant. After allowing the engine to cool off I opened the cap; Bone dry. So the leak had not been addressed and remains unaddressed. To sum up, I paid to have the car diagnosed. Understandably not all problems manifest, and may require a second look. However, I do feel, that as a service provider, it is one's responsibility to be completely thorough. It seems to be that the inspection was either rushed or just not comprehensive enough. This left a sour taste and I just don't want to hassle with forking out for yet another failed attempt to fix the car. I guess the lesson is, that one should make time, instead of paying for the luxury of someone else's time.
