I'll call this the "Case of the Mysterious Transmission Fluid Sample". My 2012 Prius with 264,000 miles was tentatively sold and the buyer wanted Auto Whisper to check the car over before the deal was complete. Dropped the car off and gave the man behind the desk most of the maintenance records on the Prius. As I was going to pickup the car the buyer called and said she was not going to buy the car because of the Auto Whisper, man behind the desk evaluation. He told her that a sample of the transmission fluid was "so black, it was the worst he had ever seen". Hmmm!. When I asked the man behind the desk about his comment he said "YES that was true"..Hmmm..OK I asked to see the sample..his reply "Oh we threw it out". WHAT! The worst he had ever seen and he threw it out?. I then informed him that the transmission was serviced 5 months earlier and I had put only 1,000 miles on the car since then. NO RESPONSE! I showed him the receipt for the service. NO RESPONSE! I told him that the black sample was impossible. NO RESPONSE! So the next day I took the car to RIGHT TOYOTA. Told the service writer the story and told him I wanted a transmission service but I wanted the mechanic to note the fluid he was extracting to see if there was any problems. At Right they also analyze the extracted fluid to check for metal or any other particles that might cause a problem. NONE DETECTED!.. NOTHING OTHER THAN A NORMAL TRANSMISSION SERVICE was the mechanic and service writers comments! WOW! from the WORST FLUID EVER SEEN to A NORMAL TRANSMISSION SERVICE at a Toyota dealership in just ONE day! Very Mysterious! read more

He not only coordinated with the other shop but the cash credit he obtained saved us a lot of money out of pocket for the new water pump. They work on a good number of high end cars, classic cars as well as standard cars and trucks - they would probably work on anything you bring them with a engine. They have competitive pricing for the area and they will often offer you free shuttle rides back home or to your office. It all started when my car started clicking and stopped accelerating between Payton and Phoenix. We called All Pro towing because they were closest. At their recommendation we took the car to Auto Whisperer. It was after hours so the next afternoon Jamie called to let me know I needed a new engine. I ended up taking my car to the dealership in the hopes of making a warranty claim. Jamie only charged me $10 for the oil they put in my car despite the space at his garage my car took up for 48 hours and the work they did to diagnose the problem. In less than 30 days I had to have my vehicle towed here three times with the replacement parts breaking twice. The 2nd time happened less than 3 days after getting my vehicle back. Being new to the area and in need of some auto repair I looked at reviews of numerous places and settled on what I thought was a good service selection. Everything the service writer said made sense except the price! This warranted a second opinion ... Thankfully I trusted my instincts and got a second opinion. According to the second place which had multiple sites, the required repair was something totally different and cost a third of the price quoted by Auto Whisperer.
