I was in the area and found Autobahn here on yelp. Dropped in to see if they could fix my head liner on my 2012 Tundra Crewmax. Tony looked at this liner and advised he could secure the li er back. He was able to do this while I waited. His tech did a great job. I plan in the near future to fix my front leather seat. Tony and his team were professional and courteous. I ordered a set of front seats for my 964 911. Raspberry grey full leather. Quality of the covers is superb and the price is competitive to the bigger suppliers and not the months long wait you read about on Rennlist etc with other seat cover suppliers. I live in the Boston area so obviously couldn't drop the car off. I put the leather covers on myself. Not as easy as one would think as I'm a pretty decent mechanic etc. Without Tony's experience and patience answering 1000 text from me, I couldn't have done it properly. (never as good as if he installed them) You tube videos that are out there are not that helpful. Tony is a saint for his patience. if you want real handcrafted artisan leathers skip the big suppliers everyone seems to use that people talk about on Porsche forums and call Tony. The leather smell everytime I open the door makes me smile. I only wish I didn't wait ten years since I first inquired about sear covers from Tony. read more

I was having trouble with the convertible top on my 95 porsche - it would not lie flat. I took it to Autobahn - they diagnosed and fixed that problem but in the process broke the windscreen and jammed the front latches - when I got home and went to open the top for the first time it jammed and then quit working and stopped half way down - not drivable. They clearly did not test their repairs - When I called to say the car was not drivable and I needed help to take it back they told me it was "my problem" - Then they told me that the windscreen was already broken when they got it - not true. Also interesting that they asked for payment in cash. Very disspointing - these are not honorable people. read more

Needed a new headliner to replace the one on my 2014 Porsche Cayman that had sagged/deteriorated. The owner was extremely helpful and catered to my specific situation. It turned out the job would involve some extra work as I had a rollbar that had to be removed as well, so he put 2 of his guys on it and STILL got it done the same day, which I needed as I was going out of town. THANK YOU SO MUCH! As far as the work, the attention to detail was incredible and I got the car back looking better than new, seriously! Extremely pleased with their quality of work. I took my beloved 2010 Mustang GT in for some modifcations to the front seats. Since new, the seams on the driver's seat under the thighs irritated my leg and after consultation with Tony and Mike we had decided on the alterations, selected the leather from their extensive stock and the next day the work was done! Great service. I had a small tear in my leather upholstery and emailed Autobahn Interiors asking if I could drop the car in. I promptly received a call from Tony and he asked me to bring it in so they could stitch it while I waited. I brought the car over and one of the craftsmen stitched it in about 30 minutes and did a fantastic job. this is not normally what they do - their focus is on full interior restorations. However they did this just to help me out, which was very much appreciated. If you have a luxury or exotic car, I'd recommend you bring it to Autobahn Interiors as they know what they are doing and provide excellent service. read more

I own a 1995 911 Porsche Carrera. I obtained several estimates to replace the leather on the front seats and one place told me they couldn't decide which was the proper leather from their chart and asked me to decide. Really? Autobahn was the most expensive shop. But when I visited the shop and saw the cars he was working on, I knew I was at the right place. Tony quickly looked at my seats and told me they were "cashmere" leather. He assured me he uses original German leather and would completely rebuild both seats which he did. The car was done in the quoted time frame and the seats look and feel brand new. Very Happy. read more

Steer clear of Tony and this shop if you value truth, integrity and quality workmanship. I'm posting this review now (June 2014) after dealing with Tony for the last 6-8 months regarding some poor quality work (he's admitted as much) performed by his shop. Let me state before I continue that I'm a business professional who deals with customers (large and small) every day and I am acutely aware of exactly what is involved in delivering exceptional "customer experiences" and further ensuring that my clients are thoroughly satisfied with the products and services they've purchased through my companies. After being referred here by my Porsche mechanic (I own two classics), I brought in the driver's seat from one of my other vehicles (a Nissan Z) as it needed a few leather panels replaced. Tony quoted me a price of $550 for his labor and material costs. A bit steep for the moderate amount of work but I decided to move forward with Tony's assurance that the quality of the new leather and craftsmanship of the repair would be equal to or greater than the OEM product. Picked up my seat approximately 7-10 days later and while the quality of the leather and stitching looked to be superb, the quality of the seat reassembly was not. Pieces were missing and/or re-installed incorrectly. Showed/shared this with Tony who was apologetic but in a dismissive sort of way. Knowing that his technicians didn't / wouldn't know how to put the seat back together correctly, I took the seat home and purchased the missing pieces myself and installed those and then correctly re-installed the other pieces. Enjoyed the seat for all of thirty days when the leather began to crack in the very panels that had just been replaced. Returned to Autobahn Interiors to show Tony the panels and after some initial head scratching and "I'm not sure why the leather is doing that" comments, he agreed to re-replace the panels. Was very surprised by the "not sure" comment considering his supposed expertise in auto upholstery. He advised that he was very busy at that moment and asked if I could return in several weeks when his workload was not so burdensome. I agreed and did check back several weeks later but his workload was the same and we agreed that I would check back in another month or so. A couple of months became a few more than that but I finally did get the seat back to Tony in April 2014 and he agreed to have the seat ready for me by the end of May. After not receiving any responses to e-mails sent at the end of May, I called the shop on Monday, June 2nd and learned from Tony (dodging and weaving the entire time) that the seat was just starting to be worked on but would be ready on Tuesday, June 3rd. Arrived to pick up the seat on Wednesday, June 4th and..........one panel hadn't been replaced and the others seemed to have simply been sprayed over with some type of leather dye. The texture of the panels was like heavy grit sandpaper. Tony wasn't present at the time so I left the seat and said I'd call back on Thursday, June 6th. Spoke with Tony on Thursday and shared with him my concerns. More dodging and weaving and his stating that he doesn't guarantee the materials he uses (leathers or dyes) and that the seat was repaired to the best of his shop's abilities. I decided to cut my losses and drove to his shop and grabbed my seat. It cost me $550 to be reminded that you can't win when you're dealing with an idiot. They simply don't have the capacity to connect the dots (i.e. exceptional customer services keeps 'em coming back). On Friday, I took the seat to another highly-rated facility. Their conclusion ? Crappy old leather (not quality new leather as promised by Tony) and an even crappier application of leather dye. So Tony is apparently an idiot AND a liar. read more

I carefully researched all of the options for getting Porsche seats re-built and re-covered. Almost everyone agreed that Autobahn Interiors was one of the best choices. Then I met Tony at a swap meet and got to see some of his company's work first hand. These guys are true craftsmen - carefully choosing materials to get as close as possible to original finishes and doing superior quality work. I took my 1973 911 to Autobahn Interiors to have the pair of factory equipped leather sport seats recovered back in March of 2013. The project included new seat cushion padding and suspension as well as restoring the seat recliner mechanisms. The price quote was very competitive. Autobahn's pricing was not the cheapest, nor were they the most expensive. Based on the quality of the work, the price was right. The results were exceptional; I was very, very pleased with the work. The seat leather appearance, finish and aroma was outstanding. The bolstering and seat cushion suspension was greatly improved. The perforation inserts were well done, very close to original, only an expert could tell the difference. The new leather on the seats appeared perfectly matched with the rest of the materials in the still original interior. And now over 3 years later, the seats still look fantastic and the level of comfort is still exceptional. I get compliments every time I show the car. read more
