I brought my 2013 Boxster S to this shop after seeing the great reviews. I can see why this shop has earned these reviews. They diagnosed the needed repair on the same day and quoted a price. I accepted this price and gave them the go ahead. They were planning to replace my blower motor and blower motor regulator. After taking a closer look and replacing the regulator they called to let me know that the blower motor would not need to be replaced at all. This saved me about 50% off the original quote. In all my experiences with Porsche dealers and other repair shops I've never had a shop come back and actually fix something for less than the original quote. Repair was completed within a day and they even repaired a tire (with a tack in it) at no additional charge. I will certainly return to Autobahn Performance for future repairs. read more

They say it was the Computer on my Volvo and needed either try to repair or get a new one, what was from $1,200.00 to $2,800.00. I mentioned I will think about it and took my car out. I took it to my Volvo Certified Garage (Which is a little far from me but needed a second opinion) when I towed (Third Time Towing Service) my car on a Thursday morning the owner called me early afternoon to tell me that my car was running smoothly and it was not the computer. CANNOT Recommend! My 2009 Cayenne differential bled out (see photo) after a 5-mile or so drive home from this shop -- this was the second time they worked on it in a few weeks. Second time car was in for new mounts and involved removal and replacement of the differential and they drained and filled the differential. This need was overlooked in the first repair but I noticed as soon as I drove it. On neither repair did the mechanic note leaking or indicate the seals needed to be repaired. The car was delivered to me. I parked it in my garage and differential fluid poured out. I took the car back and was told I now needed $4000 in work because the differential seals need to be replaced (I was not given the estimate so there may have been other items, but the seals were cited as a big job). I inquired how this could have happened and why it had not been noted ~ $5000 in repairs earlier. The GM showed me a photo and said it was 'bone dry' before. He now denies that and says it was leaking and he has video. Either way. There was no noticeable spotting in my garage and the mechanic had it on the lift TWICE and removed and replaced the differential and filled it, without noting this major problem? You can see from the photo what the car did after a short drive home. When I asserted it had to be something that was done at the shop, including possibly overfilling, and asked for an alternate explanation, the GM (Don) simply hung up on me. Mistakes happen, but reliable businesses own up to them. Is there any way a mechanic missed a needed $4000 repair, twice, including after filling the differential? read more

2007 BMW 335i coupe with 50K miles put a drop of oil on the garage floor. Have not had any problems with the car except normal up keeping. I have had good experience with Autobahn in 2014, yep, 2014 when they changed the battery for me. They took me in right away and called within the hour after drop off and oil pan gasket failed, need new one. Told them to check the AC for leaks because it was not getting cold enough for my wife. They also told me I should do a brake line flush and fill and since they were near the motor mounts, replace them since they have the chance. So, I said treat it like it's your own and do all the mentioned above. The bill was a little bit of a shock at first until I researched my car and the procedures to do the work from YouTube. The bill from research was on par if not better than the min and max for the repairs...happy customer here. They did the job within the time they said it would be done. When I picked the car up, they explained the bill and we were happy with it. The car purrs now with the AC cold at the start of the car and ready for summer...HAPPY WIFE!!! They made me feel much better about my first out of state purchase, they were accommodating enough to go do a pre-purchase inspection at the dealer because the dealer would not allow the car to leave the facility. They sent me tones of pictures with all the normal imperfection you should suspect in used BMW as well as the thing a normal buyer might not think to look at. I dealt with Don who was great he kept a clear line of communication as did the inspector Jason both seem fairly knowledgeable about the car considering I my self am a big motorhead DIY type. As soon as I walked into their establishment I overheard being referred to as a "retail" customer. After explaining what my problem was with my car, Rick offered me a transmission fluid replacement, but with no guarantee that it would fix the rough shift in gear. Their mechanic said it would take him one hour to complete the job, but the estimate showed I was going to be charged for 4 hours of labor $500 plus parts! Hmmmm......Later on I found out that transmission fluid flash should never be performed on MB with over 100K miles. It would have killed my transmission completely. That is why Rick was insisting on no guarantees. I found another shop and had my transmission fixed. It works great now. I am glad I did not trust Autobahn. read more

For the past 15 years, or perhaps longer, I have brought my Mercedes and other vehicles to Autobahn, and they oversaw and were paid countless thousands of dollars on both normal service and warranty repairs. When I brought one of my other vehicles to them, a classic 1993 Cadillac convertible, that has an information center that showed the air conditioning compressor was off, they simply put the refrigerant in, and put a dye in the refrigerant, and at no time checked to see if there was a leak, so consequently, two days after I picked up the car, the AC compressor was off again, as the dyed refrigerant had leaked out. There was a time when Autobahn was my first choice for automotive repairs, but that time is over. read more

Called and spoke with Bob and one of his technicians on the phone today - very cordial and eager to assist. Said they weren't sure if they could fix the Comand software issue on my 2003 E500, but would give it a shot with their Star Diagnostics tool. Bob asked if I'd like to schedule an appointment and I told him I'd rather get it fixed today. He said sure no problem - told me to bring the car in and they would look at it right away. Within 10 minutes of arriving at the shop, Herb had already taken my vehicle to the service bay and started working on it. Less than half an hour later he was done and showing me a printout of the readings on my car, which Herb had adjusted exactly the way I wanted. Cost for this excellent service was very reasonable and a fraction of what most other shops were quoting me. I can tell Bob is a really honest guy and his employees realize that time is money and strive to get the job done as quickly as possible. Needless to say, Bob and Herb have not seen the last of me and my Merc. read more
