Second time I visited an autobell and my car was barely cleaned on the inside after I requested they make sure and vacuum under the booster seats since I have 4 kids. the third row of my van was completely ignored including the windows on the inside. About once a year I give them another shot...purely for my own convenience. This is it, I'm done. 18 years and never once a satisfactory wash. $30 and I still had to go elsewhere to vacuum. Had to buy some armor all cleaner for inside and redo most of it. Exterior was also horrible and I used windex to finish the absolutely embarrassing job they did. Also had to redo the windows. I knew better, but it was convenient. I highly highly suggest going elsewhere. They have no quality control and are setup for speed at your disappointment. This is a top-down issue. Do not go here!!! One of the worst service ever! When checking in the person told me that there would be two people taking care of the car and asked me if I wanted to double the tip? When driving through - there was no one to point me where to park- so I just parked behind a random car waiting to get washed and sat next to the my car on the bench. The same person came by pointed at me and said rudely if the the keys were in the car and walked away?! Then as I was leaving, he proceeded to give another guest attitude and talk down at them by yelling, "Sit down... Sir calm down... Sir, we're going to get to your car. It's not that big of a deal, let us take care of your car." I've been an annual passholder for 3 years and I should have read the reviews before coming in. This experience will most likely make me NOT renew my annual pass. FYI I get my car washed at least once a week so it's very easy wash/vacuum. I really like this location. I drive out of my way to come to it. The people are generally very good and thorough. I've had one or two trips out of dozens that have been less thorough, but on the whole this a great place for a car wash. To get the wash and interior cleaned, there is no better service or value. I was given some Autobell gift cards 2 Christmases ago and decided to use some since I was in the Charlotte area. This was my first time using this particular location but they are all pretty standard. You drive thru and, if you paid for the interior service, you pull into one of 3 lines and wait for an attendant to hand dry and vacuum your car. Being a holiday the place was pretty busy but I was able to get in and out in less than 30 minutes. All in all Antonella does a good job for a decent price. They really don't clean a vehicle well for $30. I brought my car in after a trip to get it cleaned because it had bugs on the front. When they called me to come get my vehicle the front was still full of bugs. They didn't even wipe the front because the grill was still dirty. Seriously? I try this autobell maybe once every 6 months and they are consistently terrible. I had paid for the auto vac upgrade (an extra $15) where they are supposed to vacuum underneath and in between the seats, however it didn't even look like I paid for it. They completely disregarded the in between the back and passenger side seats, didn't put my mats back in the right way, and on top of that they didn't touch the trunk at all even though I specifically asked to focus on it. Training of employees or lack of, employees using same towels on wheel rims and then drying your paint with the same towel. This Autobell just as other Autobells has the same setup where you drive up, pay for the car wash you want and the staff will dry and clean your car for you. You still have the option of doing a drive thru where you can pay for your car wash, drive though the car wash and go on your way. The reason for my 3 star rating is because the times that I've gone have been less than expected. When the workers dry and clean my car, there's still some dirt and and wet spots left. You're able to tell them to fix the issues but I've decided that I'd rather do the job myself at this point. The workers do make the majority of their money from tips and I support that. I would like for them to do a better job than what I've experienced. Overall, Autobell does a decent job with car washes but if you want the job done right and have time then I recommend Sam's Xpress car wash. read more

As an Autobell customer for years I figured I would give this location a try, having recently moved in the area. Bad idea...don't we all learn we need to stick with the originals! Service is horrible and it took more than 45 minutes for my car to get wiped down, after going through the car wash. After arriving, there was only one guy taking orders, which causes a major backup on Park Rd. Cars are moved in to the washing cycle on a very slow pace...and I think that is because they are short staffed or something. Anyway, after watching my car go through the wash I walked outside to wait for them to wipe it down. I waited, and waited, and waited. Finally, and only due to the fact I had to get to an appointment I walked to my car and asked the guy "what is the hold up"? There were only two cars there...crazy. He apologized and wiped my car down and handed me my ticket. Horrible wipe down, so needless to say I had to point out a few areas he needed to touch up. Unfortunately, to this day my windshield still has watermarks...but yes I am going tomorrow to my regular Autobell to get the car cleaned. read more

It's been a while since I've had my car cleaned, so I decided to splurge a little and go for an upgraded cleaning. I got the managers special, somehow I ended up spending $45. My car looks the same as it does when I go with the basic wash and vac. I asked specifically about wiping the interior as it was quite dusty, it looks like the effort my kid puts into wiping off something. Paid for full service wash and they didn't bother to vaccum the back of my car or while down the back seat at all. They actually worked on my car less than 5 minutes. To the point - I don't like Auto Bell car washes. This one is just close to home so I make do. After previous bad experiences at other locations I won't ever go for the full car cleaning experience here. I REALLY wish they would allow you to use a vacuum to clean out the interior yourself because the teenagers that do it don't take criticism too well when you inevitably always ask them to go back and do something they missed. But I digress! Those opinions are not about this location as I've never done anything more than a $4 drive thru wash here. That, at least, does a fantastic job of shining the exterior of my car and keeping it that way for about 2-4 weeks. So on that note, they get at least 3 stars and I will always come back. To my review readers, if you want your entire car cleaned inside and out and done well, just skip Auto Bell and find yourself a proper detailing service. We had to come home and "finish" their job as our windows (all) were completely streaked with smudge (they must be old or dirty rags). ($31, and we would rather just do it at home from now on). What happened to the old Autobell that had workers who actually did what they were paid to do? I got the most expensive wash they had AND paid an extra $15 for the inside to be thoroughly vacuumed and cleaned. I figured it would take at least 15-20 minutes for them to have it ready, so I was taken aback when I was told my car was done after 10 minutes (max). They didn't wipe down a single thing inside my car. There's still some dried coffee dripping down the side of the center console and the seats look exactly like they did when I got there. The steering wheel was still dirty and they didn't even take the time to do the most visible and perhaps easiest wipe down on the dashboard. $60 wasted, plus I'm going to have to end up doing it again myself. Oh, and I also went on a Sunday morning at 9 a.m. to beat the rush and there were at least 6 teenage boys standing around not doing a damn thing, and certainly not cleaning my car! Although this place is pricey, and they did manage to bend my license plate, I like this place. I wish it was all hand wash but I don't think hand-wash car washes exist in Charlotte. The good: The staff really does take their time while cleaning the inside of the car My floor mats which were so dirty that I might as well buy new ones were made to look somewhat respectable after the staff was done cleaning them. Although they didn't make it look brand-spankin' new, can't fault them for that. They cleaned someone's car with shampoo -- that looks cool and can I get one also? After they finished with my car, I had to play "so fresh so clean" by Outkast The bad: For machine wash, it is a tad pricey The aforementioned bending of the license plate -- they did unbend it, though The line? I brought my company vehicle here for a complete detail. I must have arrived at the right time because a long line quickly formed behind me. You pull into the lane as you enter the driveway and choose your desired wash package and they collect payment at that time. You then drive through the automated car wash and park your vehicle after to get hand dried and cleaned. The staff is full of young kids who are polite and working hard. I have to be honest and say I wasn't too picky on well they cleaned the car as it is my company vehicle. As long as the interior was clean, I am happy :) I would recommend this place for a decent, quick car wash. After two cars were checked in before me, I asked him what was going on. And he said 'yeah, she won't let us use that register' - what ?!? Then he says, do you want me to ring you up? Then coming out of the car wash, there is no one directing which lane to go. Sat in my car for another 10 minutes, while other cars just moved along. I usually go to rea road autobell and will never be back to this one on park. It's chaotic. I think the kids are trying to do a good job, but there is clear lack of management. So the Park and Tyvola/Fairview location is my go to location. I'm a regular here and most of the guys know me here which is helpful because they have become familiar with what I like done and I usually don't have to check the car before tipping them and making sure they didn't miss anything. These are good guys who want to please the customers by doing a great job on their car. A lot of customers don't understand that this is NOT a detail shop. It's a car wash. It's for maintaining your car's appearance between details. I get my cars detailed once or twice a year with a detailer. I take my car to Auto Bell to maintain its clean between those and I think a lot of people don't realize this because they want these guys to get into every crack and crevice and that's not their purpose. I have a membership card which gives unlimited full service washes for a flat monthly fee automatically charged to your credit card each month. This is a value if you go to the car wash at least 4 times a month. These guys are working for tips and they work hard for them so take care of them when they do a good job and if you check your car before leaving and there's some more attention needed then ask them and they will do their best. I've noticed a lot of these young guys literally sweating their butts off working on people's cars and then the people just give them their claim check and get in the car and leave without tipping. You should be ashamed of yourself! I'm ashamed for you and it's so disrespectful and just plain mean. This is a reputable company that wants to deliver a quality service to its customers and the management takes it seriously so give this location a try and if there's anything that you are dissatisfied with they will try their best to make it right. Just remember that this is not a detail shop so come in with proper expectations and treat these guys with kindness and respect and don't forget to tip them. If you don't have cash, you can request a tip voucher at the time of sale so there's no excuses. Some of these guys are saving for college. Be a decent human being and tip the guys who are working hard in all kinds of weather and be kind to them. I've seen people act rude to the washers and it's so unnecessary. This isn't how most people are but there are enough where I felt like I needed to say something here. And when you treat the guys right, they remember you and want to take care of you again and again. Sometimes they get really busy and can get backed up. If you go during a busy time then be patient. The managers do a great job of dispatching the guys to finish the cars in the order in which the cars come in so sometimes you have to wait a while. If you don't want to wait then come at a different time. The slow times are generally when the first open and before they close. Also during a normal workday late mornings and post lunch rush so come then if you are in a hurry. I love bringing my car here and I also like the South Blvd location which is rarely super busy and sometimes I go there when I'm in a hurry and it's a smaller and less busy location so try them out too. read more

I'm very annoyed as I payed a decent amount for them to do absolutely nothing. They left the one mat they sprayed down soaking wet. Horrible when it comes to washing cars, which is what they're in business for. My windows were cleaned with a towel that had wax residue and were left with streaks and hazy. The carpet and trunk area are not vacuumed properly and dirt and leaves we're leafy behind. These people are expensive, but do a substandard job--shouldn't be in business. After having my review looked at by management, I had a very pleasant phone conversation with Nate, the store manager, who had promised to mail in some vouchers I can use to go back. I just received them in the mail today, and I let him know that I'd update my review from a customer service standpoint because this was a good gesture not everyone tends to care about in this day and age. Now I know I can return, and whenever I have my wash done, if there's a problem, I can count on Nate to address it, and my money is more valued there. I appreciate what he did.
