I came to this AutoBell location this past Sunday and honestly really liked it. I usually go to the one on North Tryon since it's closer to my place in NoDa, but I happened to be over here and this location is not that far from the other one. By far, this one is much nicer. There are way more vacuums and a lot more employees working, which makes a big difference compared to the other location that seems to only have one or two vacuums. The car wash itself feels bigger and more organized, with a pay station you go through before entering, instead of feeling cramped. The service was fast and efficient. It was cold that day, so I went inside and sat in the waiting area, which was warm and comfortable. Before I knew it, they came to get me and my truck was ready and clean. Overall, I really enjoyed this location and it might become my new go to instead of the one I usually visit. Plus, it's close to Midtown, which is a bonus. I currently have the unlimited wash and they also clean the inside and it's a great value. read more

A cautionary tale, with the mandated restrictions about washing your own cars, I've had to turn to Autobell more often and have noticed a couple things. On one car, it took three drive-through's to completely remove bird poop. On another somewhat vintage car (again can't hand wash it), it abused several moldings, so we need to find an alternative for that car. That said, I recently had a full service wash done on my wife's 4Runner and it was as clean as it could be, also have always have been treated well by the guys there! read more

I told the men working here that they only needed to vacuum and wipe down the front of my car and not worry about the back. Somehow, despite asking them only to focus on the front of my car, they returned my Honda to me with stains/marks in the cupholder, on the dashboard, and everywhere else. $30 completely wasted. read more

Do Not Go Here . 40 plus dollars to vacuum my own suv . I went Saturday and the experience varies esp during the summer season where it's obvious the young employees could care less . Was flagged down and told my suv was complete opened the doors its crumbs all over the seat that were in plain sight as well as all the floors and no scent was sprayed nothing was wiped . What was done !!! Then after I proceeded to finish my car the employee rudely asked me for tip tickets ! Excuse me what no nothing was done to deserve the 40 yet alone a tip . Then he proceeded to walk off mouthing something inappropriate. Please go else where for atleast decent service it's not here . Update : I went to the location bc this experience was just so bothersome Ellie one of the managers on duty was so sweet and apologetic. She even offered to clean my car on the spot . I had to run but really appreciated her hearing me out and gifting me a free wash . If I return I will ask for her or Baui who is awesome as well . The owner was kind enough to send me a refund for my original wash which I appreciate as well .i really hope they work with the employees to fix these issues for future service. read more

I am writing to share my observations during my visit to your Harrisburg, NC location earlier today. Upon arrival, I noted the absence of a menu detailing the available car wash options for review. Furthermore, I was concerned by the procedure employed for the interior cleaning of my vehicle. The two employees attending to my car utilized the same towels to clean the interior windows as they had used on the exterior surfaces. Consequently, upon departing and encountering sunlight, the windows exhibited significant streaking. Upon returning to your location, I requested a re-cleaning of the windows, specifically asking for the application of a cleaning spray followed by wiping. However, I was informed that your location no longer uses spray for window cleaning. I was also advised that the cloths used contain a window-cleaning chemical and are laundered for reuse.They staff did not care that this could be a potiential driving hazard by simply stating we do not spray window. This is a liability for Auto bell. Ultimately, I had to leave and undertake the task of re-cleaning my car windows myself. I felt it necessary to bring this to your attention as the resulting streaks and film on the windows created a potentially hazardous level of glare. Thank you for considering this matter. read more

I have been to three Autobells. They are a pretty good outfit and did a nice job on my car today over performing and doing s thorough job except for the trunk. This was my second visit to this location and both visits were consistently good but slightly more expensive than their competition. Only disappointment was the job on the trunk or lack there of. Much better attitude than the Mooresville location where management is poor and service sometimes better and sometimes worse than this location. read more

Very disappointed with the quality cleaning of my car. The car was still pretty dirty after they gave it back to me. The rearview mirror wasn't cleaned. My dashboard was not clean there was still a ton of dust on it. And my center consul wasn't wiped down. And on top of my $30 car wash that was a waste of money. When I pulled up to the payment line two of the auto bell employees were speaking very derogatory about another customer. Mocking him and making fun of him. That is beyond unprofessional and incredibly disgusting behavior in my opinion, even for 15 year-old kids. read more

I can't praise the hard work of these folks enough. I'm always very watchful to see if they treat my car (a humble Toyota Corolla S which I own and happen to love dearly) with as much TLC as the BMWs which always seem to be streaming in whenever I come... THIS location of Autobell goes above and beyond. The two gents who were scrubbing down my car really went the extra mile, and when I asked if they'd take a few more minutes and really get between the seats, THEY DID without hesitation! I cannot lose the impression that this AutoBell likes to take advantage of customers. Last time I paid with a credit card here my number was stolen (I know because I do not use the credit card often, before here I had not used it in a month. The same day I used it here people in Winston Salem where buying groceries), now when I pay with cash the change is not returned. This today this was an extra 80 cents which may be small but the practice is deplorable and should be stopped. Simply speaking please don't steal from people. If you don't want to handle cash, say so but don't take it from people. The wash itself was ok. The exterior was cleaned well. The interior glass I had to clean later myself. read more

I had been putting getting my car deep clean on the inside for quite some time so I finally broke down and pulled in to the closest carwash around my house and bit the bullet! Since they don't offer just an interior clean, I had to go with an exterior type car wash too. Wasn't such a bad push, as it had been over three or four months since my car had been through a car wash (even longer for the inside). I ended up doing the FULL SERVICE with the Armor All add on for the interior. With tax it was around $28, which I felt (as long as they did a good job) was very reasonable for a full service detail. Full-service wash comes with an exterior wash, including wheels (which look shinny and great!), an interior vacuum of seats, carpets (they even remove your carpet mats and vacuum under too) and the trunk, interior window cleaning, dash, door panel, and console wiped down, finished with hand-drying the car's exterior. I felt the $10 add of for the armor all in the interior was definitely worth it, because let's be honest.... how many times are you doing that on your own (probably like never), so why not treat your car to something nice every now and again! I know this place can get very busy, but I went on a Monday night where there was a potential for rain so I think that decrease their business. I do love that you can bring the receipt back within three days if it rains you can get your car re-washed. Keep in mind this is more of a burn and turn car wash... They are meant to be staffed and trained to clean as many cars as possible in a short time so the quality won't be as good as a detailing service. For instance there were a few places that weren't fully vacuumed (like on the sides of the seats) and the creases of the doors were slightly wiped down but there was still some dirt spots lingering (which I just took a paper towel when I got home and did a quick wipe down). The staff was fairly nice and helpful, especially since I had some stuff in the trunk that they let me remove so they could vacuum the whole thing and not just around the items. Overall I was happy with the results and I will be back! read more

About the same as my experience at any other Autobell. I gave up long ago paying for anything other than the ride-thru. This location is a particularly compelling example of Autobell's bro-culture. All the guys working here must workout together too. It's like the military with a slew of cussing and trash talk all day long inside an echo chamber. At least they're all on the same page. But the customers aren't. You pull up to the wash and pay your now $5 for a ride-thru (effective from Jan 2018). The guy directing you in just screams in no particular direction "NOITRFOFFDBRAY!" which is supposed to be, more eloquently, "Put the car in neutral and take your foot off the brake. (Please.)". But you watch everyone in front of you not having a clue what he just said or what to do. But this isn't my first Autobell rodeo. In the interest of just "not having time for this garbage today" I just did what I knew to do. If you're lucky, when you pull out the other side you'll spend enough time before the next car comes up behind you to actually get completely dried off. If you're even more lucky they'll actually come take the plastic bag off your back windshield wiper and put your side mirrors back in place. Don't bet on any of that at high-time here. After I got home I grabbed a stick and scraped the rest of the mud out of my wheel wells. I won't be back to this location for sure. read more

Yesterday my wife and I decided to try a full service car wash. After going through the machine and parking my truck so they could clean the interior I was only sitting down for less than 10 minutes before they told me it was cleaned. I could easily tell NOTHING had been wiped down. I took a rag and wiped the inside door handle and dirt came off, the center console cover wasn't wiped down, neither my dash board or the back window which had a lot of smudge marks from my dogs nose. They also told me they couldn't vacuum dog hair it comes off every time I have vacuumed myself. It takes me 45 minutes to detail the inside of my truck when I have cleaned it, not 10. They were careless and lazy and all I could get for poor service was a free car wash. I'm never going back I don't need a free car wash with lazy people doing a poor job. I posted the same thing on Google review. It needs to be known. read more

I just came here and got the double pollypress. I have been here before and was satisfied but that was over a year ago. This time they did a horrible job of the inside of the car. If I am spending that much money for them to do the inside then I expect to get my money's worth. I would give them a 1 star, but the outside of my car looks good. DISAPPOINTING. Don't waste your $$$. I decided to try auto bell again, after bad experiences at another location. I paid $36 for the "manager special" - making sure to say I wanted Armor all and vacuum interior. Not only was nothing done with armor all, it wasn't even dusted or wiped down. Zero effort. Both seats were slid all the way forward, and when I slid them back to normal driving level I found it was just to hide the fact they didn't even vacuum. Didn't even try, and expect $36 and a tip. I drove back around and showed the on staff manager, who said they can't help me except give me a coupon to come back for another "full service" wash, which doesn't even include the armor all that I paid for the first time. This was our first visit. I have a minivan with two kids under 3. You would think that first impressions for new customers would be important. Not here! I told the gentlemen at the vacuum area that I had a unfortunate spill of dry formula that was under in crevices of our seats. He said, and I quote, "yeah we'll see. Tell the guys up front cause we don't have time, there are more cars coming." I should have left then and there. Then while our car was being "detailed," I had to take our kids to the bathroom. Completely disgusting. The finished product - well let's say nobody should come here. I handed the gentleman my ticket and a tip. Only to get in the driver's seat and realize that the dash had *barely* been wiped down. Dust still everywhere. I asked him to please clean again - and he still didn't get it. Also the vacuum job wasn't done well at all. I open the sliding door and what do I see right off - Cheerios and Cheddar Bunnies that were right there in plain view on the floor. It's not like they were tucked away. I should have a) asked for a refund, and b) taken my tip back. Never again, please do not visit here!!!! read more

I will not return to any Autobell because of my experience with this location. I haven't lived in NC very long and recently decided to try Autobell. I paid for the $15.99 service - considerably more expensive than just your typical drive-through car wash because my service level was supposed to be higher. I understand most of the workers are young kids (which is why I have given generous tips during my first few visits); however, this car wash is too expensive for less than full-service. When I got back in my car there were still muddy paw prints on my center console and the side of my passenger seat. These are things that one swipe with a damp towel could take care of! Clearly, I was not getting my money's worth. In addition, my back seat was still full of dog hair - not even an improvement! It looked as though they decided to not even touch it. The floors mats were spotless, but the seats untouched. Before I handed the kid my tip, I asked if they swept the backseat because there was still a large amount of dog hair. He responded, "yeah, I'm sure they tried at the beginning of the wash but we can't really get dog hair, sorry." I am done paying that much for a car wash if the service I receive is lazy (Come on, paw prints on my console!?) and I can do a better job myself when t comes to vacuuming. read more

3 stars at very best. I've been once, but here's what you need to know. 1. They do have a $6 car wash that you can ride through easy peasy, and it's not bad. I would say it does a fairly similar job to the $7 wiki wiki quickie. (But with wiki you have access to vacuum your own vehicle, vs paying extra for them to vacuum your vehicle) 2. I think it's important to think about who works here before you expect a certain job done on your vehicle. For instance, it's mostly high school & college kids. Soooo if you expect a young dude to do a perfect job on your car, well you're probably going to be disappointed. Overall, I think they did a decent job. Could I do better? Absolutely. But if you need a quick wash, and want someone to do a quick towel dry for ya, then here's the place for you. 3. Here's what I got, and what to expect from the process if you've never been. - You pull up and pick which option you want, there were girls at each of the two pay centers to help you. I bought the super wash $19.99 which included the exterior wash, interior dash wipe down, vacuum, and towel dry. I added on the mats for $7 to be washed, rinsed, and dried. So you pull up to the car wash spot, and get out of your car when your the next in line. They start vacuuming, and once done (it's quick) they send your car in for wash (you can watch it go through in the windows from inside), comes out at the other end where there are several dudes waiting to tackle the next car. They finish vacuuming if needed. Then pull it over for someone to come towel dry, and wipe down the dash. Then they call your name, you walk over and they ask to see your receipt. To confirm it's your vehicle so keep your receipt til their done! And then they hand you your keys, and you hand them a tip. Yes, it's a service so you should tip these guys. Even if it's not a perfect job. - Things that stood out for me, the dash wasn't even touched. And they forgot a towel in my car (lol). Soooo again I think that speak volumes, the whole "thinking about who works there" and taking that into account. Again I think this is a good place if you need a quick wash and a quick wipe down (we all know a quick wipe down doesn't get it all, and that's okay! If that's what your looking for). I would not recommend this Auto Bell to my worst enemy. I paid for a car wash ride through and manually dried my car with cloth, I then began to vacuum my car. Within 10 seconds some employee came up to me and told me I have to pay for the vacuum. I informed him that I had paid for a car wash and he said "yeah you also have to pay for the vacuum." You're much better off going to Sam's wash where they treat you with respect and let you vacuum your car at the car wash. Doesn't seem like a crazy concept. Also, it was a Tuesday at 11am the place was dead. Don't go here. read more

I had a great experience today at this location. Came in yesterday and got a full service wash but unfortunately left the sunroof slightly open before it went into the car wash. Didn't find out until today that there was sitting water in the truck and had a terrible smell and a few stains in the ceiling of the vehicle. I went back in to see if there was anything that could be done and Kenny took great care of me, the smell and the stains were gone. Excellent customer service. I've been to Autobells around Charlotte dozens of times. The only reason I come back is because I can't find an alternative. You're essentially tipping high school guys to do a lackluster wipe down of your car. The managers are supposed to check each car before you leave, but they don't do anything. My dashboard still has dust on it pretty much every time and my wheels have brake dust all over them.
