Took my three week old car there. Came out of the wash with a 12 inch scratch down the drivers side. Manager insisted that nothing in his wash could have caused the damage and that was the end of the conversation. The car is three weeks old and the scratch certainly wasn't there when we purchased it. Further, we paid for the managers special and the car wasn't what I would call clean when all was said and done. We had to ask for the fragrance (which is supposed to be included) and had to drive back around a second time to have leaves and dirt vacuumed out that were missed the first time. I visited the Auto Bell Car Wash today after getting suckered into buying a ticket here by some boy scouts outside the Harris Teeter one day. My car was filthy and I was low on cash, so I figured, why the heck not? My only request here was that they make sure they get the console and shifter, for some reason every car wash I go to seems to forget about this area (except for the one in Hawthorne, NY - love those guys). It took a while for my car to come out, but I picked up a magazine and got lost in it for a bit. Once my car was spit out from the fettuccini looking sudsers and dryers, I waited while they dried it off more and spritzed the inside. They spent a lot of time so I figured they got the console, for sure. Unfortunately, when I went back I saw yesterday morning's coffee stain :( Oh well. I'm a single mom. So my car gets left for last on mu lost of priorities. When I get mu car washed here I look forward to the full in and out service that doesn't take hours from my day. I paid an extra fee for the extra vacuuming service. So that came out to a bit over $50.00. I drive off and I start looking around and I instantly feel fully regretful about the money I spent. I look for the Auto Bell signs because I believe I will leave there fully satisfied. Sadly this is the first time I ever felt like now I have to really inspect my car and verbalize what was missed prior to leaving the car wash. Honestly the car wash is way to expensive for what they provided. The kid that cleaned my car left all the flakes of the Howell used all over the car inside and outside. I got to my destination and had to wipe out the car again. Not worth $25.00 to end up and doing it yourself. read more

It's very rare that I leave bad reviews... I've been 3 times now and each time has gotten worse. Today I purchased the special for $29.. my windshield looked like I had a "blur" filter on, cup holders weren't vacuumed out, back cargo area wasn't vacuumed out, only one of my mats were "washed" which looks like they just sprayed some water on it... I had to come home and go back over what they had "already done" on the inside as well as my windows.. pictures really don't do it justice. I too am at 2 stars for Autobell. I go to Autobell often and frankly I will continue to go because it's a quick and decent car wash. How that I'm in the world of newer cars, that's kinda important to me. But man I'm just never once please with their service; I never find any consistency in it either. Basically, I've come all times of day in all seasons and to several Autobell locations. One cohesive similarity between all of them is that they hire high schoolers. Not so surprising considering that was the job to have when I was in high school too. But for those of you out there driving a nice car and expecting a nice thorough job well done at Autobell, just think: you're letting high schoolers who could frankly care less about your sweet ride clean it. In short, if you want a good wash, inside and out, do it yourself or pay twice the price for a detailing service. Anyways, I don't have that kind of money but I still don't feel satisfied with the service I get here for the $30 managers special. The exterior of the car is about as expected. It's great sometimes to do a quick $4 drive through and take off. However their various giant spinning mop heads are well known for leaving scuff marks and scratches. On the interior they completely fail. Lots of spots are missed when the kids come through and quickly wipe various surfaces. Either they completely miss some surfaces or they wipe only the center leaving dust or streaks in the corners. The windshield has never come out of the process even remotely acceptable. The rags used leave lint and streaks everywhere. They're also notorious for leaving spots on the door sills and sides of the footwells. They're good about going back (though perhaps a bit frustratedly) and cleaning places when you point them out. Except I'm paying you $30 (plus tip) to see these things, not for me to point them out after the fact. Nonetheless, I'll probably be back because I'm cheap and don't like wasting time cleaning my own car. I recommend making your own stern judgment about whether you want this place handling yours for you too. read more

Carpets poorly vacuumed, exterior of car still had dirt on it, leather seats not cleaned properly, and the console was filled with water. I have been here several times over the years and they do an okay clean for the basic $7.99 price. If you are looking for a clean exterior this fits my budget. I am happy with their service and it's consistent and good for the money. I think they must have improved from previous years. My car looked better after and that is all I wanted. They broke my rear windshield wiper because they neglected to put a plastic bag over it. Mgr said they will call me when it's in. Okay. I returned to get it installed an asked can I get it run through for the inconvenience. Mgr said oh no we repaired it and that's all we can do. We can't take another hit by giving a free car wash. He said you can get a free car wash but then you don't get the wiper replaced. I guess a $4 wash was was too much spare for customer service. I go there ever two weeks so now they can take $1300 loss in revenue. read more

I wish I had read their reviews prior to going. Just to start I am really easy to please do it really doesn't take much. I paid for the $25.99 wash because my car had not been clean in about a month so it needed some tlc. I was pretty impressed my car was finished in 15 minutes until I got inside. The only interior cleaning was vacuum. They sprayed the Windows but obviously allowed them to air dry. The doors, panel, cup holder was not touched. I have paid $10 for a car was and received a better quality . It's clear Auto only cares about quantity not quality. I asked to speak with a manger who never came. Paid for a interior exterior full service wash and asked for the mats to be washed. After 20 min my car still had dirt all over, dash and console weren't wiped down and only one may slightly damp which put mud all over my floor board. PSA: AutoBell Charlotte/Pineville Store #14 is to be avoided. Incompetent store management will damage your car and then blame you - the customer. I have a 2004 Mitsubishi Montero (daughter's car) with standard equipment (including a Power/Retractable Antenna) that has been through various AutoBell Car washes many times (20) in the past with no issue. This past week... they ran my daughter's car through the wash - breaking the retractable antenna. The Manager, who ran the car through the car wash, claims that it was our fault because we did not turn off the radio. Filing a Claim resulted in nothing, especially when the Store Manager (who damages your car) has the authority to approve or REJECT (which he did) your claim. When I escalated through Customer Care, they promised that I would be contacted by the District Manager. Instead, they only redirected the complaint back to the store manager. When I finally tracked down the district manager, I was met with similar disregard for customer service and no independent thought when considering the facts. Instead... he relied solely upon the Store Manager's "report." I even offered to meet him at the store and prove to him that the antenna retracts - he stated that it is "IRRELEVANT" I HAD BEEN long term AutoBell Customer, who with 5 Cars in the family, averaging more than 80 Car Washes per year. Piece of equipment ripped part of my roof rack up and they quickly said it was prior damage and refused to take responsibility for it. It also did a poor job cleaning the car. They offered to allow me to run car back through wash and try and get it clean, but i refused since it already damaged vehicle. I asked for a refund and manager on duty refused. He then proceeded to spray what may have been corrosive spray on my car after I asked him not to. I was upset and he called the police claiming I put my hands on him. Cops showed up and proved that he was a LIAR. Camera footage showed that I did not. The manager even tried to get other people to say they saw me put my hands on him, which since he was black and I am not, i guess he thought that would work. It didn't. Do yourself a favor and find another place to get your car washed. They are rude, lying, people at Autobell. read more

Took my SUV there today. If I could give it zero stars I would. I paid for the managers special After I tipped the worker and gave him my claim ticket he gave me my key, which was broken! He took the money and walked away. When I called one of the workers back and showed him the key he said he would get his manager. The manager approached me with a rehearsed story attempting to convince me that the key was already damaged and broken. Let me be clear my key was NOT broken before they took my car to be washed. After reading other reviews, it appears I'm not the only one that has had damage to their car, which they quickly deny responsibility. I don't know what goes into their training program, however from my experience It appears deny any wrongdoing is their mantra. read more
