Where do I even start?? This all begin after I hit something that resulted in a pretty good dent in my rear quarter panel. I was panicked and stressing. I reached out on Yelp to different businesses initially, but it was mainly for pointless dent removal options. I was told it was beyond repair for those shops and that I'd need to take it to a body shop. So, on the first day I had off from work I decided to take my car in person to various body shops. I cross-checked Yelp, Google and Tesla's website to see if the shops had good reviews and narrowed them down to my top 3-5 picks and ran around that morning to get quotes in person. Ultimately, I chose to take my (first) baby to Autocraft OC. I called Jake before heading to his shop, after I'd gone to 1 Tesla non-approved shop and another Tesla approved shop. I asked if I could take my car in person for an estimate and I showed up soon after. He was quick to help me and tell me my options (I was exploring out-of-pocket cost and cost with insurance). He was very informative, welcoming, and made me feel comfortable throughout an already stressful and uncomfortable process, for me. I had a feeling after meeting with him that I'd want to take my car to his body shop. I put in the claim with Tesla insurance and then dropped off my car at his shop. Jake was willing to take me, himself, to the rental car place. Enterprise sent someone to pick me up though. From there, we waited for Tesla to approve the estimate (it took longer than usual, but it was something on the Tesla Insurance end). Throughout the whole time, Jake was VERY communicative and would give me updates on my claim and my car. That put me at ease, knowing my car was in good hands and he was doing what he could to move the process along. Around the 3rd week, Jake let me know that he got the go-ahead and had the car ready within a couple days. Let me tell you, my car feels like BRAND NEW again!!! Not only did him and his team take care of the rear quarter panel I dented, they also took care of a big dent and scratch I had on my hood (unrelated to what I came in for), cleaned the inside of all the sand and whatnot I had from surfing, and made the exterior all shiny and clean!!! To top it off, I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket, since the estimate was below a certain threshold, and Jake delivered my car himself to my workplace. I was so happy and excited to see him when he arrived! Overall, I'm a VERY happy customer. I'm beyond satisfied with the service and quality of work from Autocraft OC, and I've been raving about Jake since my first interaction with him. He's gone above and beyond to help me with the whole process, made me feel comfortable and at ease with my baby in his hands. If you need some repairs/ work done on your Tesla (mind you they had a lot of Teslas in the back when I came for my initial estimate), I highly recommend you RUN, don't walk, to Autocraft OC!!! This place is very honest and goes above and beyond. I came here for an opinion on whether to keep the payment from my auto accident payout or get my car fixed. I forget his name, but I think he's the manager or owner. He took one look and told me to keep the money since the cosmetic damage didn't look too bad. He even went inside to grab two different sprays and a rag to wipe off some scratches. He showed me how to fix them and recommended a spray to renew the black bumper. So happy I was able to find Autocraft OC. Where do I start! My Model S was hit and run on and man was this process a headache. To first start I have Tesla insurance and man was that a mistake, I uploaded the necessary documents was provided a claim number and chose an approved body shop. 3 weeks later there was no progress made either from the shop nor the adjuster, the adjuster was waiting on documents from the shop and the shop was saying they already sent them, but the dates didn't match up, I ultimately decided I didn't like how the shop seemed to be giving me the run around. So I chose to change. That's where Autocraft OC comes in! I recently bought a new tesla and 2 days later somebody rear ended me. I was going through what everybody goes through when they get it hit, stress, anxiety, worry and all of this was doubled or tripled due to the fact that my car was only 2 days in my possession. To make matters worse, i had a horrible experience when another car hit me last year because getting a tesla repaired is not like any other car. Parts can only come from tesla certified dealers making every tesla certified dealer slammed. And once one of your parts are out of stock your car takes even longer. This time around I saw that Autocraft OC had opened near my house and I decided to stop by and see if they could help. I AM SO GLAD I DID. While other car shops blow you off and tell you they cant even look at ur car for 5 weeks, the first thing Jake asked me if I was hurt. This caught me off guard (in a good way) and he set himself apart from other car shops just from that. He told me that they have all the parts already and it would take 2 weeks so i decided to leave my car with them. While he had my car, I don't know if Jake is just waiting around for me to ask him questions but his response rate is incredible. Other shops you cant even get a hold of, and Jake is always available to tell you whats going on and he sends pictures throughout the process. Jake is great at contacting insurances and parts warehouses everyday to get what is needed out of them for your car. Another nice thing is that they will charge your car without asking... as compared to my other body shop where i nervously watched my car go from 20% to 15% to 10% while telling them "please charge my car, please charge my car, please charge my car" every single day. My Tesla model 3 year 2021 got fix at garden grove on Harbor Blvd within timely manner Jake make sure my car got done fixing before I get another taxes on rental car from Hertz kick in ( Hertz rental contract with Tesla.
