Very rude front desk. The moment I entered the front door absolutely no body wanted to assist or ask why I'm there. There was minimal conversation as they acted like they were doing me a favor by selling me an over priced headlight that had a broken tab. They wrapped the headlight in shrink-wrap and lots of tape that I couldn't open it to check out the actual condition. When I asked about the return policy they didn't want to tell me, then when I persisted that all used parts should have a return policy, they ranged it from 5 days, 7 days or 30 days but again no actual answer. They have a standup bunch of guys and gals who showed through their actions that good people still exist. I got in a car wreck months back and the car was totaled. Car passed through a bunch of hands and ended up in Auto Gator's possession. They happened to stumble across my wallet and they went through the trouble of getting a hold of me. They used my ID to call me residence (live in an apartment) and they got a hold of me through apartment management. I drove up to Roseville happy to be re-united with my wallet but had low expectations for the contents therein. We exchanged pleasantries and they gave me my wallet, not a dollar short. I came early one day at 9am to get a bumper they had available. I payed and they told me it'll be an hour to hour and half tops. So I leave run around town and kill some time. I came back two hours later and they said it'll be another hour. So three total. I left again and then came back at 2pm. Thinking it'll be took off already. So I ask the person in the front counter. Now it was someone else and they radio to the back and I hear the parts puller say that no one had asked to take the bumper off. So after five hours they had not done anything. I found this very unprofessional. I came in early so I wouldn't be here that long and it was worse. The service is horrible and some of the employs at the front counter have an attitude. I would rather pay more for a part next time and have better service than ever go through this again. I came again a few months later to get a part they said was still available. I walk in and stand in the counter and the person asks me if I need help with someone. Well of course I'm not going to stand there just to stand. I come in and they don't have it anymore. DON'T BUY PARTS HERE! They are scammers that will sell you defective merchandise. They wouldn't let me on the yard to look at the car. They said they had one that would work for me, they had to pull the seatbelt and when the retractors didn't work and I told them they said there's nothing they can do. I did buy the part a few months prior and didn't get a chance to get it installed until now, and he blamed me for taking too much time. THE MANAGER KICKED ME OUT OF A CAR I WAS TEST DRIVING. I realize I showed up close to closing but you'd think a business that sells cars would be willing to hangout for 10-15 minutes to let a person make their own decision on how a car is running. I like the car but I'm not going to start it with a jump box and then say looks good and drive away without at least getting what I came to see. Basically wanted me to buy it or get out. I needed a certain part and this place had it for a reasonable price. I also went online to their website to look at the part in the car too. The thing here is that they pull the part for you and bring it to you at the counter. This is a big convenience factor who those who don't want to go digging around with tools they might not have. I can see how it also protects the business from unscrupulous customers. Go to any Pick N Pull and see what he mean. My complaints are how small the parking lot is especially since they park their junkers for sale in many of the spots leaving few left for customers. Also the previous reviews here about the counter guy "Jay" I think is his name are somewhat correct. Although the cars are salvaged, I felt better about going there than to a clean title, used car dealership. They told me everything that they knew was wrong with the cars I was checking out. All of the men there were nice and helpful. When searching for a head light cluster, I was told that they did not have one there for me, but they referred me to two other dismantling places in Rancho. I was given the name of the places with their phone numbers on a sticky note. I like it! I have had to take care of some body damage with the car and have had to take care of regular maintenance issues, but nothing out of the norm. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and don't feel I have been cheated one bit. I've never sold a car so when I ventured out to do this I am so glad I came here because the customer service was on POINT. Let's start from the beginning. My car was on it's last string and it was only a 2008. However with all of the problems it gave me, my husband and I decided it was time to let the car go and buy a new one. I got quotes from a lot of places, but AutoGator has a very user friendly online service. At first I was hesitant because I didn't want to receive phone calls from them and other yards inquiring about my car. However, their site allows you to message a customer service representative directly! You can up load pictures and see your quote! Completely hassle free and user friendly. So I got two quotes, one for pick up and one if I drove the car to them. I decided that I could make the drive and just uber it home. I made it literally a BLOCK away before my car just died. I called them and told them the situation. I forget his name because at this point I was so frazzled with life ... but he was so helpful. He hung up with me and was able to get in contact with the tow truck to help me out as he was coming back to the shop. The tow truck guy got me running and I was able to get the car in the shop. Of course there was one more disaster before that happening but to spare everyone the details... I got in was able to talk to the same representative and I thought for sure he'd deduct money from my quote for the whole debacle but he gave me the original quoted value. Made it SUPER easy!!! This place is awesome. The people who work here are straight forward, polite and too the point. How business should always be done. They are also extremely reasonable with their prices. Bought a used transmission from them. I ordered it over the phone and they held it for me for 24 hours without taking any payment. I drove over the next day, paid, they had already removed and cleaned the part for me, and all I had to do was help push it off a fork lift into the back of my car. Easy as pie. They also gave me a 3 month warranty and so far (after installing the new transmission) my nissan is purring like a kitten and driving better than ever. For a business that has been around since 1981 they're customer service is horrible. I called about a motor for my 2009 Toyota Corolla (2zrfe) asked them if they had one. I saw there motor on eBay for a 2013 Toyota Corolla (2zrfe) and asked about it the so called customer service representative just laughed at me saying it's not compatible. But if I want to still buy it no warranty. Funny thing is I ended up buying a motor from another dismantler that knew what he was selling and sold me a 2013 motor and vehicle is up and running. Bought a straight car with intentions on working on it to restore to original quality. Service was awesome. Guys helping with the car are very friendly, but didn't know much about the vehicle. Only reason not 5 stars is because it said bypassed heater core and will need a part to stop coolant leak. Well it needed aaaallllooottttt more than just a hose to stop coolant leak, 38hrs work/$600 later in misc. parts and counting just to get it to run and idle. It is my project so cant complain much. Great place to buy a donor car or a rebuild project vehicle for experienced, motivated person. NOW the tow driver OLEG is the best dude everrrrrrrr!!!!
