I love this place and have been going to Auto zone for years. I am no expert mechanic but I can do the basics. So basically I go to the dealer to do my oil....why my oil people will ask? The reason is I could do my own oil but then I miss the updates and computer problems that would of been caught. I find these cause problems after a while. Then I take what they give me as maintenance and try to do them all myself. Brakes have been a big one..they have lifetime. So you buy the first one and never pay on that car again. Other competitors don't do this. You tube is amazing and can teach you a lot of stuff that can be done at home to save you money. read more

I just wanted to come on here and write this review to let everyone know how Walker and Ahmed went above and beyond for me and my son. I was stuck at a parking lot last Monday during the storm with a dead car battery. I called my road side assistance company and they sent a third party to help me out. The person that came out told me they couldn't jump start my car and I needed to purchase a new one for $340. I had my 4 year old in the car, and this person knew I was stuck and didn't have any other options. I refused to pay because I knew he didn't even try to jump start my vehicle. I declined to purchase the new battery and he left. I saw that Auto Zone was a 3 min drive from where I was and I called and spoke to Walker and explained my situation. First words out of his mouth was "don't worry we are going to help you, we will not leave a mom and her kid stranded, especially in this weather". Walker literally sent one of his employees over to jump start my car, Ahmed. My car started, after the first try, and I drove to Auto Zone to personally thank Walker and to purchase the new battery. Not only did they save me hundreds of dollars, they saved me from having to tow my car, and from so much stress having to figure out things with my 4 year old with me. As a female it can be daunting going into an auto parts store not knowing every name to every car part. I was happy to see there was a female employee. Yay for diversity. But I was more pleased that the vibe was not super male chauvinistic. No one talked down to me. No one patronized me. And as a matter of fact the gentleman who did help me, Walker, was very patient and explained what needed to be done to my 2007 Honda Accord after running the diagnostic tool. I was appreciative and so grateful that what I thought would be a money pit of a fix ended up being a part for less than $100. I left the store knowing exactly what I needed to do so I made a second trip out on payday and purchased the recommendations that I didn't get on the first trip. Money well spent! That made my week. Went to Auto Zone on Foothills Blvd in Roseville on Saturday August 26th at 8:30 AM. I was the only customer and there were to employees working behind the counter. I went to Auto Zone because the website says their employees will help analyze why your cars check engine light is on and offer suggestions for parts to correct the issue. I told the employee that my cars check engine light was on. He handed me the analyzer and told me I had to check it myself because he's not allowed to do it. If that is correct Auto Zone needs to change their website to indicate that. I won't be going back to that Auto Zone ever again. read more

This is my go-to place for my auto needs. Not that I need a lot, but I get my wiper blades here every year and any misc item for my car. I have gotten quick friendly service each time. I never thought much of it until I had a very bad experience at O'Reillys nearby. The first time I came many years ago, the guy changed the wiper blades in the parking lot for me. Now thats service! The place is clean and organized. As with any specialty store, they are probably more expensive then say Walmart but you are paying for service and convenience here. I dont mind that. They also have some cool gadgets sometimes that I like to look at. read more

I would give this visit ZERO stars if I could and here is why: Visited this location as we always do and came here because they had a good deal on engine oil, oil filter & air filter trio package. We asked for help from Eddie Atencio and while he was "gathering supplies" my dad decided after waiting almost 5 minutes to continue shopping, however Eddie noticed my dad was shopping and demanded my dad stand in line. Eddie was already taking long to gather supplies so might as well keep shopping for other things to potentially buy, however he sternly said "just wait in line". To our surprise, he was so incredibly rude and we frequent this place quite a bit and have never been talked to in this manner. Once Eddie gathered a box and cart for the many items my dad was about to purchase, Eddie made it clear that HE was ready to ring us up. Eddie stated the total and my dad was a bit confused as to the higher total price than anticipated due to expecting the items to be part of the deal, however instead of nicely discussing that the air filters he (Eddie) grabbed for the vehicles were not part of the deal, he just pointed at the advertisement on the counter and said "well, you didn't buy this type of filter, see?" This was completely unprofessional considering my dad was spending a great deal of money buying the set for 3 different vehicles. Also, while gathering the supplies from the shelves, Eddie never explained to us that the filters were not part of the deal so how would we know if we were not the ones pulling the item off the shelf? Once my dad understood where the price difference originated from, he asked if he could include his rewards number as Eddie did not ask or even give the opportunity to provide the rewards number. Eddie seemed frustrated having to tap the "cancel" option on the screen and said "ok, don't do anything" at the same time and of course it was the time when my dad inserted the credit card into the chip reader and did not register that the transaction had to be cancelled first. Eddie, frustrated even more, said "No, I told you NOT to do that" and I was standing there the whole time listening to this and it is NOT an appropriate way to treat a customer. I don't know if Eddie is this way at baseline or if he's simple having a bad week. Regardless of his reasons, I don't care either way as it is COMPLETELY unacceptable to behave this way. AutoZone, you might have lost a long time customer because Eddie was massively unprofessional. read more

I went into this auto zone about an hour ago originally for fuel cleaner, windshield fluid, and a car freshener. Customer service was amazing everyone in there was so helpful and inviting! Left the store thinking I wasn't coming back but my car keys had other plans lol they decided they wanted to be locked in the car today. Older man there at AutoZone today seems to manage the place however seems unaware and unwilling to assist rather instead wanted to give false information to up sell on unnecessary products. This is what we did not expect from a company as notable as AutoZone whom we have been doing business with. So earlier today around noon, we dropped off our car battery to be tested and was told by a younger male staff member that our battery still works fine and it just needs to be charged he tested the "cells" so we really appreciated his honesty and he said the charging process would take an hour or so thus, we left our battery at Autozone and came back around 5:30pm thinking that's more than enough time for charging and instead was met by this disgruntled man that stated he did not charge our battery and that we needed to go to Walmart? He then proceeded to say he does not and will not do anything for us and that the only option we had was to buy a new one! That's fine except earlier today we were told to leave the battery and come back after it's charged and knew that having to buy a brand new one was not to be the case! If the issue was resolvable by a simple charge we have wasted our time with drop off and now pick up with nothing done and no apology. What happened to trustworthy places to get auto parts checked? We're not going to this location again we don't think AutoZone should have a bad rap because of this employee but consider these patrons no longer at this particular AutoZone especially if met by same older man. read more

Based on the current level of service at the most retail stores I'm always surprised at how good these folks are. It makes you wonder why other stores can't find and train their staff to be this good! They are very helpful, friendly and fast. You can ask them a question and regardless how simple or "dumb" it might be they always take the time to answer in a supportive way.
