Her dirt cheap mechanic installed the part incorrectly so she had to pay ANOTHER mechanic to get it installed the right way, costing her more than if she had just gotten it done by Andy in the first place. After explaining the issue, I was told they would diagnose the problem and call me with their findings. A few hours later, I called for an update and was told they had found a parasitic battery drain and needed to run additional tests. Later that day, they called back and said the problem was simply a faulty battery and that replacing it would solve the issue. I approved the repair, which ended up costing about $430 for the battery. After picking up the car, I immediately noticed that some of the electronics were not working correctly and it still felt like the battery was being drained. Because the original diagnosis didn't seem to match the symptoms, I took the vehicle to Al's Electric Repair in Anaheim, a shop that had successfully fixed an electrical issue on another vehicle of mine. Al's quickly identified a parasitic drain caused by a camera installed inside the cabin. Once they repaired the drain, the electrical issues disappeared and the car has been running properly ever since. What concerns me is that the first shop initially told me they had found a parasitic drain, but later concluded that the battery was the only problem. Whether the battery needed replacement or not, the actual drain remained and was causing the issues I brought the car in for. Based on my experience, Al's Electric Repair accurately diagnosed and repaired the problem, and they have now successfully resolved electrical issues on two of my vehicles.

The job wasn't done properly at all. The leak continued after a small amount of driving. I hired another mechanic and the two of us decided to investigate and fix the leak. We took the cover off only to discover that there was no Gasket!! This is why it was leaking. I payed all of the money for the hourly rate only to have the problem not fixed. They had my vehicle for over a month, when I picked it up I opened the door only to discover there were parts left on the drivers seat. The parts were missing some bolts and nuts. I had to return to the shop and have one of the employees help me find the missing pieces. I put things back together myself, but what a blunder on their end. They installed a new Fuel Sending Unit as well, but that started to Leak and I had to properly replace and Install another Gasket. One last thing, someone at the shop was taking my vehicle out and about. I know this because when I left it there the first time my vehicle had a full tank. When I picked it up a quarter of a tank was missing. I thought maybe I was imagining it. So I filled it up a second time when I brought it back to them. Sure enough when I picked it up, it was down about a quarter of a tank. My tank holds a lot of fuel so it wasn't just them test driving it. This happed Twice. Businesses like this one have way too many vehicles in their shop. This is why these things happen, they are not able to do jobs properly because they are under pressure and doing too much. Start saying No we are too busy and don't be greedy! Pass on this shop and find yourself a Better automotive shop. I think the family is full of nice people, but the work is Unprofessional.
