Well I would like to start off by saying I by no means own a foreign car. I came to Mikes because a few years ago my husband was quoted over $3,000 in repairs on his Lexus. He went here for a second opinion to find out he just needed a $25 gas cap replacement' Once that was on, lo and behold all the check engine lights were off. So I knew this place was genuinely honest with their customers. I called in, in a pinch because the under hood protector of my car became dis-attached while on the freeway. They were very nice and were more than happy to see my Ford to see what they could do for me. They were very quick and professional and had my car back to me in 20 minutes. They did my water pump and timing belt for $600 LESS than the dealership wanted (after their "special"). Also great that are walking distance from my place (even though they offered to drive me) and took less time than the dealership taboot. Win. Definitely my go to for my dieselgate Sportwagon. The only knock, which isn't their fault is that it isn't a terribly lovely walk through the light industrial area their at, but neither is the dealership, way better deal, all the way around. Also, earlier I had called about the sudden loss of coolant and they were absolutely helpful in giving me info and advice about what coolant was appropriate, which was a life-saver at the time. I purchased 2001 VW Eurovan in December 2020 and new nothing about them. Josh gave it a good report after going over everything and completed work that needed to be done. I contacted Josh at Mikes Foreign Car yesterday afternoon VIA the yelp app for a quote on recharging the AC system on my MINI Cooper. He responded quickly with a quote which I thought was a fair price. Since I'm planning a trip to AZ next week where the temps are currently triple digit I wanted the AC working good. I asked, if possible, could I bring it in the next day AM and wait for the service. Another a quick response confirmed that it would be possible. I showed up for the appointment on time and Josh took the car in for service right away. Within an hour the service was complete and the cost remained just as quoted. Drop off was quick and easy and we were told to call later to check on progress. I was pleased to see 4 other Audi keys on the counter showing they service a good number of Audis as well as other German cars. We had just finished lunch after another appointment in Orange County and were getting ready to call to check progress when an assistant called and said our Audi was done and ready for pickup - right about 3 hours after we dropped it off! I had basically everything wrong with my car when I came in and no one else could help (not diesel knowledgeable like these guys!) so when I found mikes foreign car I was so happy. Not only did one of the service guys Daniel help me, he searched the vin number on my car just in case there were warranties on the car to see if he can save me money on the repairs, he walked me through everything. My water pump was out, my coolant reservoir was cracked and my belts were all scathed. I even had a nail in my tire. He replaced and repaired everything and quickly (even washed my car) Thought I would have to get a new catalytic converter as well but he cleaned inside it and it's all brand new again!
