Guac and Guacamole & Chips Steak Taco Curry Shrimp Taco Pineapple Mezcal
    Nikki H.

Love, love, love the guac. Usually if my guac isn't good, that ruins the entire meal for meal. It was really flavorful. The curry shrimp taco was delicious. The steak taco was not as pleasant to me. I think the cojito was too much with the steak, cream a, and pickles onions. It was just a bit too pungent for my liking. The mezcal was awesome! Food was affordably priced!

Great drinks. Definitely a must try. I had mojitos and tasted like the original. Blue pina colada needed a bit more alcohol. The pineapple mezcal tasted like Cancun, lol. Very good. Salud!!

Family members wanted to visit Automatic Taco, so we visited this counter in the very busy food court near the Washington Street (Main) Post Office. There was a line, so we waited for a few minutes to get in our order. After ordering, you walk to a service center to get your water and utensils. The tacos were decent, but they have no brewed TEA? In South Carolina? I mean, I know every culture has moved in, but, please! Allow us our TEA. Strangely enough, no venue here offers a regular iced tea.

As a vegan, I only found a couple of options for taco but liked that they were very accommodating to make some vegan tacos and vegan Brussel sprouts, food was okay and service was great. Since this is a food court there was many options to pick from, was helpful for vegans like us. Our friend got some non-vegans items and they were happy too.

My rating is based only on what I ate that day. Automatic Taco once a food truck, but now at the Commons. My niece ordered a snack of Fundido Cheese Dip and she got the chocolate mousse. The dip was good, but as it cooled so did the cheese, and it was like mozzarella cheese when it has cooled down. It was still chewy but not dippable. The chocolate mousse was tasty too. Planning on visiting again soon.

I went for a quick bite on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't too busy but the commons itself was. I was really happy with how easy to read the menu was and how many cool options there are for tacos. I tried the Korean pork belly taco and it was so good and the flavors fit so well together. It had cashews and kimchi but the kimchi wasn't spicy which was great for me preference. The commons just expanded their eating area so there are more places to sit and have fun with friends

    KBBQ & al pastor

This spot is located within the Commons food hall, you can choose from several vendors and find seating in their common area. We ordered the Mexican corn, pork al pastor, chile relleno, and KBBQ tacos. The chile relleno was the best bite we had, delivering on flavor. However, the other options were average. The Mexican corn and KBBQ tacos seemed to lack that extra zest we were hoping for, while the pork al pastor was excessively sweet. The Commons appeared a tad limited with the food choices so it's not a bad option if you're looking for a quick bite.

Love this place! It's located inside the Greenville Commons (kinda like a food hall) near Unity Park - great location, great food and great service. We were visiting on the Fourth of July and the Greenville Commons area was PACKED, but we ordered and received our food super quickly despite the crowd. We got the grilled steak, chorizo, and pork pastor tacos - all of which tasted like a firework going off in my mouth (SO GOOD SO FLAVORFUL!). We all thought two tacos were sufficient and filled us up for dinner. We also ordered the salsa trio and chips but would love to try the guacamole next time. Really fresh ingredients and would absolutely go back again.

What a cool taco spot! I liked the location inside The Commons food hall, and the taco options are so original. Not only that, but they're executed super well. We tried 7 different tacos, and all of them tasted fantastic. That says a lot in my opinion. If you're in the area and looking for a tasty and quick lunch, try this for real!

Nashville Hot Chicken , Korean Pork Belly , Chips and Salsa
    Brianna H.

10/10! The food was absolutely delicious, well balanced flavors and textures. With the Nashville Hot Chicken, you are given the choice of MILD, MED or HOT, which I appreciated. I went with the mild and it was just that, slight spice but so perfect with the crema sauce and the chopped pickles. The Korean Pork Belly was my favorite, it was perfectly executed, and the flavors were THERE!! Savory and somewhat sweet and a nutty crunch, excellent. The tacos were always filled proportionally, which was really nice for the price. The chips were good, but thicker than I typically prefer. So with that, I would 100% recommend eating here and will be a return customer. So yummy, thanks Automatic Taco

These tacos were divine. fresh and healthy and tasty and colorful and fast. I let the staff know I needed gluten free & dairy free and they were so reassuring that this request was easy and normal for them. Wish I could build a little portal to this place into my home in Colorado. Thanks for lunch!

Hands down, the best tacos in Greenville!

It is found tucked behind the building with only a small, letter-sized paper sign marking the entrance. No flashy signage, no obvious storefront, which adds to the appeal if you're into that kind of hunt. Walking up to it late at night can be a little intimidating but it is well lit which I greatly appreciated! Once inside, the space is dimly lit and small, which makes for a genuinely intimate setting. I'd say it's good for a quieter, more conversational vibe rather than a loud night out. We went with the bartender's choice: pick a base liquor, then two words to describe what you're after. I went with vodka and "slightly sweet, refreshing," for $18. The bartender nailed the brief but it wasn't a drink I'd think about again or specifically order by name. Solid execution, forgettable flavor. Service was the real standout. Our bartender was excellent at walking us through the concept and translating vague requests into something that actually worked. That, plus the atmosphere, is enough to bring me back to see what else is on the menu since we made it there just in time for last call so I ended up only having one drink.

Such a fantastic location, on the corner of McBee Ave. The building and setting is gorgeous inside and outside seating. Both very large areas that would be awesome for evenings out. I'll be sure to come back for that. I chose outside for the nice breeze out with lots of umbrella's for shade. I always feel cold inside restaurants and didn't have a sweater.. so I chose one of the long marble top tables outside. There is also a big tv for game viewing in a fully covered corner area. The bar opens up so it's accessible whether seated inside or out (photos). The menu has great choices. I had done my research beforehand since I was on a time crunch and ordered the roast beef melt.. which came with fries and au jus that was amazing!! I added a side of steamed oysters.. perfection!! These came with horseradish, cocktail sauce, red wine vinegar and oil for dipping. I ended my meal with creme brûlée that was better than one's I've had in Paris. It was topped with a perfect layer of flamed sugar, fresh assortment of fruit in whipped creme + a tiny crown of mint. The creme brûlée had a hint of lemon, making it over the top delicious. My friend had the Ginger's Have More Fun, made with their own house ginger liqueur instead of ginger beer. It wasn't overly syrupy, but the syrup notes were present enough to undercut what could've otherwise been a more refreshing drink. We split the Nacho Average Nachos. It was great for picking at while we chatted and had a good concept, with a solid mix of pickled toppings, rich queso, and protein, and chips that held up fine (no sogginess). The execution didn't rise above the idea. It was a fine, forgettable plate rather than a memorable one. Good portion for two, though. Overall, a nice spot for golden hour drinks if you're already in the area, but not somewhere I'd make a specific trip for.
