I was so excited to bring my boyfriend here as I hyped it up for months. But it was unfortunately very underwhelming. we got the Tito Taco & the Ying Yang tacos , the corn tortillas didn't taste fresh and were a little hard. We also got churros to go and when we got home we were disappointed to see that they were over cooked and really skinny! Pretzel was fine if you don't mind waiting 25 minutes for a simple pretzel app. Bartender had to look up how to make a Silver Coin Margarita & sadly still missed the mark. I have worked in the industry for my entire career. I am normally a quiet customer, and genuinely don't speak up, but my experience at Tacozzini was overall just really unflattering. We waited quite some time for our food, our server was very kind upon arrival and continued this energy through out the time we were there but barely checked on us. Our drinks stayed empty for sometime, which didn't bother me. Although, what did was the fact that we arrived at 7:30 and received our pizza at 8:50. The staff was more occupied with closing than accommodating guests. We have a 3 month old so we try to hop in and hop out and we are pretty straightforward. After we finally we received our pizza which was mediocre at best, I don't blame the kitchen, it may have been the recipe, the restaurant is closing up. They lock the door about the time we get our pizza which is 10 minutes early. I noticed on multiple occasions a tall man with long brown hair making his way behind the bar pouring himself some beers, I later discovered he was definitely a manager or supervisor of some kind. A few other folks came from the back, but I can't confirm if they were working but they were definitely drinking as well. Our server did take a shot as well. Once we get ready to leave, I dropped 10 dollars until a young couple comes up to pull on the door, another young man who was working was trying to leave and asks our server what he should do. Our server then says "you're good just don't let those mother f******s in" and at that point I took my money back. We just had our first visit to Tacozzini! We loved it! It had a great atmosphere and quiet vibe. It was nicely decorated, and it looks like there would be a lovely outdoor patio for nice days. We had the fried cheese, which was delicious! At first I wasn't sure why there were Greens on the side of the plate, but they definitely improved the dish overall, especially with the combination of the two types of cheeses. We got a regular side salad, and the creamy basil dressing was fantastic! It was very well balanced and had a good flavor. Then we had the French dip pizza. Wow! This has to be one of the best pizzas I've ever had. I think we will come back many times, and this will probably be the only thing we ever order. There did appear to be a lot of other items that sounded tasty as well, but I just don't know how you can top that pizza! Tacozzini is a very cool and hip sorta vibe restaurant, with a very interesting menu that blends pizza and tacos (quite a combo right). We came in on a rainy day after looking at their menu online. I had my tastebuds set on the sloppy Joe pizza, which they unfortunately did not have (sad face)... all good though, instead we got the roasted garlic white pie, Caribbean dream tacos, and jalapeño corn queso. The white pie was... okay. I mean if you really love ricotta, you'll LOVE this. I mean it's really overloaded with ricotta, and I couldn't really taste much else. I just recently learned of this place and it is now my new " go to" pizza restaurant!! "All" we got were two pizzas for takeout. Both on cauliflower crusts The first was the sweet potato with fig jam goat cheese with arugula greens on top ...really delicious the crust was thin and crispy. The toppings may have been a bit heavy for the crust but still wonderful flavors The second pizza again on cauliflower crust ...was the mushroom pizza with garlic oil based sauce and microgreens...this was outstanding!! I gave a review after last Sunday's amazing brunch so we went back to try the pizza. To start they have Narragansett lager which is one of my all-time favorites so we're off to a great start. Got a side salad which was one of the best I've had in Greenville. Most places it's an afterthought leading to disappointment for the diner. This has great ingredients, was a very good size and the house made blueberry lavender vinaigrette was off the charts. Next came delicious pizza with a crunchy thin crust, great amount of cheese and sweet marinara. Not a single crumb was left. I asked for the owner Amy to personally thank her but just missed her. Stopped while traveling through and was so pleasantly surprised by the fantastic food at what we thought would just be a quick late lunch stop. Everything was delicious and the most impressive thing was all of the attention to detail: perfectly ripe avocado slices with a gentle sprinkle of seasoning, warm tortillas strips served with tacos and beans, well-balanced cocktails, friendly and attentive staff that were fast with drink refills but didn't hover or interrupt. The sweet, spicy and cool just vibe. The bbq sauce and tomato cool down the jalapeno and the pineapple makes it a sweet treat. When I get this pie I am not sharing! We always get cauliflower crust! The Genuiess pub pizza was interesting. I'm not a beer drinker so I wasn't a fn of the beer cheese but the loads of fried onions on too we're sooooo scrumptious! I'm also impressed with Tacozzini bending and flexing in the COVID Chaos. I have purchased for them four times in the last two months. We made a big mistake today. Skipped lunch and at 3:00 p.m. I was getting hangry. But there was no mistake coming here! Haley our server was efficient and friendly. After the buratta and prosciutto appetizer special was delivered I knew we were in for a treat. Haley recommended the cauliflower crust for our pizza and it was spot on. We had the white pizza with garlic and ricotta cheese. Honestly, we should have stopped there, but no, our eyes were bigger than our stomach.
