I will never purchase a vehicle from this business again. Our sales man, Dominic, was okay, but other than that this experience has been quite ridiculous. The customer service after finishing paperwork went way out the window. My husband and I can't seem to get anyone to call us back, I finally had to go in person to get answers, the manager over our finance rep. had us less than confident to recommend Automax to anyone. It's been less than two weeks and I feel like I'm still playing phone tag to get a definite answer about my temp tags/plates. I keep getting told so and so will "call you back" and I wait only to have to call back two days later because no one got back with me. I fully understand I am not their only customer and that these places can get overwhelmed with people browsing, looking to buy and/or in the process of making a purchase - I get it- but I would appreciate some form of communication to let me know what's going on with the minor issue I am experiencing. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!! I brought a car from Automax in 2008. Payed it off. Loved it. TIMES HAVE CHAGED. I went to Automax a few months ago with no car to trade in and almost an 800 credit score. I now have a mid 600 credit score and upside down 10,000$ on a car I did not set out to have. I first got a used Land Rover. I did not like how it drove. It was a really rough ride. The check engine light came on. I took it back to the dealership. I should of listen to the lady in the waiting area that was there getting her money back on a car that blew up right after getting it. I also should of paid attention to all the BAD REVIEWS they have. I had to do a total trade in and I got an brand new Ford Edge. Almost 4000 miles out it totally broke down. (A belt came off) I was not taking it back. So I ended up getting a Hyundai Tucson. At signing time my credit score is mid 600 due to all the credit checks they ran and me not having Equity in the Ford that broke down, and No rebates that was promised was "available". I regret ever going there now . Not only do I have a lower credit score, and upside down 10,000$ I also missed out on work and upset I let this happen to me. They have a very large inventory of new and used vehicles at reasonable prices. I arrived late evening to look at a car that was on sale at this location and was welcomed by Robert Heath. Robert Heath attended all my needs from the very beginning to the end and was very cordial and professional. The car wasn't ready to be looked at the day I went in but the dealer's staff was very quick to get it ready for a test drive (next day). Everybody that I dealt with were very nice. The facility is amazing, I'm confident it is the biggest dealer that I've ever been to. Very clean. The waiting rooms are nice and they have comfortable chairs. They had refreshments (coffee, snacks, water and soft drinks) on all the waiting rooms that I used. They had TVs as well, so you can watch while you wait. The process of buying the car was business as usual. There were some waiting that I had to do and papers to sign. There were some issues with my temporary tags and was resolved to my satisfaction. While in the process, Robert, was very proactive on getting everything done to save time at the end. He also walked me through the facilities and showed me where the service department, the parts store, finance and rental locations where. This was a first for me. The dealer provided a rental vehicle for me when we finished the deal at no cost since my vehicle wasn't ready yet and they got it ready the very next day. They have a lot of cars, but buyer beware! I would probably never buy here again. I bought a 2015 vehicle, and when it was delivered, the ac was broken. I tried calling them to see what can they do, but never received a call back from the manager. Then, they didn't install the front bumper license plate bracket, and again, I tried calling but no response again. Then, I noticed that the door sensing lock and unlock was not working on the driver side, but working on the passenger side. The salesman said it didn't even have this ability. Luckily, the vehicle was still under warranty and was able to fix the ac and door sensors for no money, but I still had to pay $70 for the license plate bracket. I experienced a lot of headaches and time that should've been resolved at the store. For a 2-3 year old vehicle and within the first two months, I had to visit the dealership 3 times to get my vehicle fixed and up to par. I hope nothing else breaks down or find something else wrong. Do your homework and make sure every feature is working properly. Once they sell you the car, they don't care and not their responsibility anymore. I basically didn't hear any feedback about the ac and license plate bracket, and didn't even bother contacting about the door locking sensors. I suspect they knew about these problems and didn't want to have their Ford dealership to fix these issues and let some other dealership eat the costs of these fixes under warranty and license plate bracket installation fee. read more

I had a 666 credit score but no credit so they only gave me 2 car options after going there for almost a week straight checking out the cars. I went with one of the cars I was "eligible" to get which was a 2014 Nissan Juke, within the first month it started acting weird so I brought it to them to look at it and they tried to charge me a diagnostic fee and then told me it wasn't promised that they would know what's wrong for sure so I took it to Nissan and they told me that I need a whole new transmission.i also don't have a warranty cause they charge hell extra for one. read more

Worst service ever encountered, the people who work there have absolutely no clue what they are doing to say the least, and unprofessional. Called the day before about two cars we were intending on buying that next day and they said they were ready to be bought. We drove 2 hours to come look and when we get there the sales person took hours, then eventually told us both cars were In the shop getting parts fixed and were definitely not ready. I have to give them 2 stars because Ford is playing a game with the 2nd car key. Bought a 2018 Ford Taurus, had only 3.3k miles on it, asked for the second key and was told that the owner didn't turn in the 2 nd key but I could have one made and the cost would around $200. I didn't do that. That same week my husband bought a Ford Taurus at Automax in keleen, also a 2018, 3.7k miles and they told him the same story as they told me at Leif Johnson, what a coincidence. So buyer be aware, if you buy a Ford or any car from a ford dealership you will NOT receive the 2nd car key. We have a key made without a fob, for a small cost. read more

Do not take delivery of a vehicle from this place without them fixing the problems before you take it. Even if you receive a we owe in writing. They do everything in their power to insure you have the most difficult time getting the repairs completed. They make you drop your vehicle off for five days before they can get someone to look at it and no they will not allow you to bring it back in five days when they are ready they make you schedule an appointment for the five days, and those are work days weekends aren't included. Then you have to wait for parts and installation. On top of that they do not care about your personal obligations cause they will refuse to give you a loaner car so you have to fend for yourself for the duration of that time. All while telling you well you can pick it up and get the repairs elsewhere knowing if you do that you have to come out of pocket. Sales and especially Patrick the salesman have no problem telling you at the time of sale that those repairs are no problem we have a really great service department they will get you in and taken care of no problem. have been contact Russein Mahorouq and Sam Mahorouq for almost two weeks now. I have an old debt with Auto Max Corp located at 3301 E Central Texas Expressway. They are committing fraud. On my credit report the amount due is 780.00 but when I called I was told 1400.00 because past taxes were owed. I asked Laura if the vehicle was resold how can you apply property tax to different customers for the same vehicle. She replied that how's Auto Max handles business. How many times have Auto Max invested in a lemon and over priced it. Only to repossess the vehicle if a consumer is unable to be. Add outrageous charges and then tax both lessor of the vehicle. I believe this business is what to no good and would like them confronted about their business practices and how much sale tax are the actually paying to Tarrant County when they are charges these two to multi consumers are the same time. Russein and his brother Sam Mahorouq seem to be untouchable. I have reached out to them at all of the property they won and that are registered with Dallas County for a resolution with no result. read more

Two items occurred within 2-weeks that service should have resolved or identified before car purchase...Recall Notice on vista sunroof and a windshield that they communicated they repaired but cracked within the 1st 2-weeks. This is the absolute worst dealership I've ever dealt with. When I told them they needed to remove the window tint so I could see out the windows they said they would not because it was legal otherwise they couldn't sell it to me. When I had it professionally redone we found that it had 2 layers of limo tint on it! They also would not fill the tank up with fuel. Which is pretty unfriendly business but they don't have too be friendly I guess. Lastly, I just found out that they have not paid off my loan for the vehicle I traded in so now I'm stuck still making payments on it. Purchased vehicle for cash. Took a week for them to have it ready for pick up. Vehicle was damaged when i went to pick up. I was told that I owned it and they do not have to fix it since I already own it. After taking/leaving work early on 7-10 different times, in which each time there was an excuse on why they couldn't fixt it, including leaving it over night & still not fixed the next day. They blamed one another on why it wasn't fixed. After over a month I went once again to have it fixed and they told me that once again I would have to leave the vehicle over night. The next day I went o pick it up and it wasn't. They had not even started on my vehicle in which, once again they had for over 24hrs. I will NOT suggest this establishment to anyone, nor do I have anything remotely nice to say about this dealer. I will never purchase a vehicle from them again. Being a repeat customer to Automax both new and used lots, I expected better service. I purchased a vehicle from the used lot on December 26, 2020. On our first warmer day I tried to use the A/C, it wasn't cooling. It was brought to their attention and I was told "well it is a used car". I haven't even had the car 60 days at this point. They did tell us to take it to service and they would run a diagnostic on it. They kept my car for two days to tell me the refrigerant is completely empty and its too expensive to refill it to even do the diagnostic. If this vehicle had really gone through their 110 point inspection this would have been discovered. Now the vehicle doesn't just need refrigerant it now needs a whole new A/C compressor. For a dealership to be so "what can we do to earn your business" doesn't care about keeping that business. I will not buy from here again after buying multiple vehicles over the years. I understand one person doesn't hurt their business but I will be sure not to recommend their dealership again. All I asked was for them to make it right, having just bought the vehicle. read more

So I bought a used 2015 Mustang GT from Automax, for a pretty great deal about a month and a half ago. Last night my car wouldn't start, we figured out it was the battery so I checked it. The negative terminal was covered with gunk so badly I could not get the battery out. I cleaned the terminal for over an hour and tried starting it again. I ended up having to have it jumped this morning for my appointment at Automax. When I went to my appointment I was told that the battery is not under warranty, or covered under my additional warranty. They did an inspection when I bought the car and said the battery was fine, but it is the original battery that came with the car and was covered in gunk. No way they could say this battery was good. I spoke to a manager and was basically told I should have shopped around for a better price on the battery, and they would not replace it unless I paid for it and it's a"regular maintenance cost of having the car." Needless to say I will not be buying a car again from them unless it has been expressly checked by my own mechanic before taking it off the lot, and I recommend you do the same. read more

If you go to automax pre-owned, DO NOT go to Larry Johns. From the very beginning he belittled us for having an older truck (even though it runs perfectly fine), then there were issues with the deal and it never made it to the sales manager (I dont know if that is because of Larry or something else, so I'm not blaming him for that because I don't know for sure), then we were offered a better deal at another lot, so we went back to Automax to return the car and get our truck back, and EVERYONE except Larry was kind and understanding about it, Larry lectured us and continued with the belittling but did get it done sooner, then we waited ALMOST 3 HOURS for him to find the keys to the truck, and he finally found one of the keys, which happened to be the one that we could never get to work in the truck, somehow managed to start it and brought it to us, so we thought all was well until we stopped and shut the truck off and couldn't start it again because, not only was it the key that we couldn't get to work in the first place, but it was also bent up and mangled. Then when we tried to talk to Larry about, my dad called him and tried discussing it with him because I was so upset I coyld hardly talk, LARRY STARTED SCREAMING AND YELLING at my dad. He was extremely unprofessional in this situation, as well as the entire time we dealt with him. Everyone else we talked to about this situation went above and beyond to tey and fix this for us, including working out a better deal so we coupd keep the car we wanted. So if you go here, please do not go to Larry, it will make this process so much worse. Aside from Larry, we had a nice experience at Automax. Worst car buying experience ever. I wanted to test drive a vehicle that I was told they had in inventory. I scheduled a time to come in because we live about 3 hours away. At that designated time, I was told that the car was being detailed & that it would be brought around shortly. In the meantime they asked for my trade in keys. After waiting for an hour I was told they couldn't locate the vehicle I came to look at but were trying to find it. What!?!? At this point we walked out & were leaving. Just at that time the manager suddenly appeared with the vehicle (NOT detailed). Ok...we'll give them another chance. During negotiations they never told us once what our interest rate was going to be or payment! We did end up buying the vehicle, not because of any customer service but because it was exactly what we were looking for. I had to call my credit union the next day & got a much lower percent rate.
