One of my cars was recently involved in a hit and run, so I was in need of collision repair services. I used Automotive Collision Repair several years ago for another vehicle and appreciated their service and quality of work, so I decided to try them again. I called their shop after the incident and they quickly arranged for my vehicle to be towed to their shop (it was not drivable). The tow service was great, being both efficient and timely. Jimmy, one of the managers, arranged for me to obtain a rental car and even dropped me off at the rental facility. After dropping off my car, shop staff kept me periodically updated on the status of the repairs. One key part was apparently in recall status and not available through the dealer. The repairs could not be finalized without this part, potentially causing issues with my rental car availability if not resolved. Understanding the potential problem, the managers of the shop worked to resolve the issue quickly to my satisfaction, explains to me in detail the options available. Shortly thereafter my car was ready for pickup. The managers arranged for my rental car to be picked up from the shop (saving me a bunch of time), and Josh in the front office ensures my vehicle pickup went smoothly. This shop was contracted by a dealer to perform some warranty related work for one of my cars. Long story short, given some paint related issues on a relatively new car, I was looking at potentially having to repaint some major portions of the car. James the owner, is really communicative and through in his work. He provided extremely detailed insight into the work that he'd potentially be doing and provided a less "invasive"/spot treatment type option after sensing my reservations about having to repaint signification portions of a "new" car. He also made sure to answer all my questions. I ended up going with that less invasive option as a first step as James, mentioned that if I didn't like the results, we always have the option of doing a full repaint per the warranty claim. The quoted repair time was 3-4 days, with James saying that he wanted to personally do the work. Around day 3, he called me to apologize for the delay and mentioned that he's been out sick with a nasty cold. The repair ended up taking about a week and change to complete. While this was a bit longer than expected, the fact that he did the work himself and provided me with an update, even while being under the weather was impressive. When it came time to pick up the car, James met me at the dealer and walked me through what he had done. He again explained his process and made sure that I was happy with the work. I've dealt with quite a few body shops and automotive repair shops and very few, if any, are as detailed and communicative as James was. In terms of cost or value, I cannot provide any feedback, as the repair cost was covered by my vehicle's manufacturer. I came in for fender liner and front bumper replacement. Pot hole in the middle of an oakland highway really damaged my front right tire. Had the tire abd wheel replaced at the dealership, but they told us to go to a autobody shop for bodywork. The undercover of the bumper ripped, so we needed the whole bumper replaced. Water went in through the undercover of the bumper, so a little rust built up. They did a great job, didn't over charge from the estimate they provided. Gave us a complementary detail and rust prevention spray. They don't have installment payments, but they delivered within their promised date, and did a fantastic job. Just wanted to say what a terrific guy Adam is over at Automotive Collision Repair. My car was taken there following an accident for inspection and was later declared a total loss, but until that time Adam was super responsive and helpful. I asked him to save my floor mats before the car was collected by the salvage company, but then couldn't get over there for a few weeks. I assumed he'd have got rid of them by then, but he still had them for me. When I went over in my other car today to get the mats, I was bowled over by how friendly he was. On top of that, when I asked him what I should do to touch-up/remove some plastic residue and scratches that were scraped into my bumper, and he just grabbed something and took care of it right there for me at no cost. Had my Honda repaired here after a collision a few years ago and was left great. Fast forward Jan 2022, glad I found them again and learned they worked on AUDIs. I had a small job (lane changer broke through my fender on the freeway). They fixed this in a jiffy!!Literally was done before I finished grabbing coffee nearby (good location to wait around). That's RARE for any body shop, or any type of business tbh. Adam picked up, and he was super helpful from the very start. I gave him details of my vehicle and damages, and he went on sent me an estimate on how much the repairs/parts would be. He assured me they would be using original parts straight from Audi, and he'll be working with my insurance company directly because he has business relations with them. I didn't hesitate, and scheduled my appointment the following week. I felt good about coming here, and Adam gained my trust early on. Once I brought my car in, Adam walked around my vehicle with me. He let me know exactly what would need to be replaced. There was no up sell or shady business unlike some places. He also told me that all his mechanics and technicians were all certified and trained by Audi, so I definitely got some peace of mind. He showed me around the shop, I really felt like my car was in good hands. The repair time was estimated to be 2 weeks.. After the 1st week, I got an update from Adam about the parts and the repair work. He let me know it would be done by Friday, 2 weeks just like he said. I couldn't have been more excited. Unfortunately for me, Adam and I have become close fiends. Let me explain: I have a garage only slightly wider than my Audi A4. More than once I've damaged the drivers side backing out. I've been coming here for a few years now for all of my various body repair needs. I've never been let down by my service writer, Adam, with all of my repairs and needs. All of the work was done very well using OEM parts only, and if there was ever an issue with a repair it would get sorted right away free of charge and hassle (tossed in a rental for my trouble!). I've had everything from a small scratch to large dents and half car repaints repaired here and the workmanship is as good as it gets. I don't go to body shops often which is a good thing but the times I have gone the experiences weren't exactly that great either. I was sad someone hit and ran my 2 month old parked RS3 and after doing a lot of research I chose ACR. Adam was my rep and he was friendly and professional the whole way through! Adam is a car person himself and he explained the whole process and kept me updated throughout the whole process! They even cleaned and polished my car after which the insurance doesn't pay for. Everyone here at the shop is super friendly and helpful. James even explained to me that they strive to make it so that even people that work on cars professionally won't be able to tell that it's been in an accident. I can definitely vouch that it is definitely the case! I am definitely glad I drove all the way from southbay sitting in traffic to have them work on my car as it was totally worth it. If you have an Audi or Volkswagen the techs are trained by Audi/VW and they are kept to a high standard. I was told by Adam that they aren't allowed to use fillers or weld new metal to fix the damage on my car as they have to isolate the damage as much as possible.
