Amazing experience here today. I called yesterday, as I my driver's side mirror was hit and had fallen off. They said to come in today at 7:30 AM - first appointment of the day. When I arrived, I was greated promptly and warmly. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that it was possible to order a replacement mirror that morning, and possibly have my car ready to go by that afternoon. (This was after a different auto shop told me that the whole thing would take a few days). They then told me that they could do the same with my missing front door handle. By 1:30 PM, Autrotrends called me to inform me that my car was ready to be picked up. I arrived at 4:00 PM and was shocked. Not only was the replacement mirror on and the door handle replaced, but they had washed the inside and outside of my car - without asking!! (I've had my car for over two years and had never washed the inside, and have only washed the outside twice, so this was quite a big deal). What happened to this place? Left the car there for 2 weeks to fix a minor accident. When we came to pick it up, there was a very noticeable scratch on the bumper and blue paint on the hood. They took *sort of* took responsibility for the paint in that they helped remove it, silently, but refused to take responsibility for the bumper. The entire bumper had been replaced on the car 24 hours before bringing it to this shop. I refuse to ever bring another car here. read more

I often make the cynical assumption that businesses I deal with will end up disappointing me. Promises will be broken and the cost will somehow balloon. This AAA auto body shop has a koi pond and gives out roses. I thought, well nice, but we shall see. Honestly part of me expected to see the fish floating in the pond when I picked up my car. However, Dominick runs a really good shop. The car looks incredible, they cleaned the interior, they threw in a dent repair, and he was upfront about how long the whole thing would take. The woman at the counter was sharp, had a nice personality, and even directed traffic to help me get out of there backing up onto Broadway. I highly recommend this really remarkable body shop. So I'm asian and can't drive. That not only means higher insurance rates for you, but nicks and dings on the car for me. So when I accidently hit a pole in the parking lot in Seattle, it was time to go to a body shop . I stopped by Autotrends, because it was nearby. I figured I was going to get raped, as most of us do when we take our cars to get worked. I geared up to not eat for a month and prepared to lose my precious anal virginity. I noticed the shop was really clean. The office was staffed by friendly people who had me fill out some paperwork. I waited for 10 minutes and was helped by a really awesome employee. He took a close look at the scratch and then left to get some a rag. He came back and started to rub the scratch. He told me that the scratch wasn't actually a dent, but just a clear adhesive that guarded the body of the car. He started to rub the scratch and got most of it out. He was really helpful and gave great instructions on how to repair the scratch at home. I was simply blown away by the service and honestly of the shop. I was ready to hand over my watch, wallet and the clothes off my back to get the car repaired and he took the time to walk me through the repair. If it was this easy to get my car fixed, I'll start planning to run into more things, like your car. Thanks Autotrends! How did I NOT SEE that huge cement pillar?? That's what I was thinking after I backed my SUV into the pillar and crunched my bumper in the overly crowded San Francisco underground parking lot!! As soon as I got out of the car and saw the damage, I knew exactly where I was taking my car to be repaired - AUTOTRENDS! I called my insurance who informed me that Autotrends was a member of their direct network program and the insurance agent put me through directly to AutoTrends. Unfortunately, I've had a few fender benders over the years so this was not my first time using Autotrends' services. As in the past, it was a GREAT experience for me. I used their eEstimate service to send a photo of the damage on my SUV, the next day I received an estimate via email of the repair costs. Kevin personally followed up with a phone call to ensure receipt and inquire about questions that I had. When I dropped my car off at Autotrends, Bryan got the car checked in promptly. He went over all the details regarding the process and allowed me to ask questions. All of the staff was very professional and I was pleasantly surprised when I received the phone call saying that my car was ready! They did an EXCELLENT JOB repairing the bumper and cleaned it up VERY nicely. I don't think my car has been this clean since the day I bought it! Kevin followed up with a phone call Monday after my Friday pickup to make sure that I had no questions or concerns with the repair of my car. I thought that was a nice touch! Okay, so I picked up my car this morning and it looks brand new! It's like a diesel truck never hit me from behind. I sat with Kevin this morning and explained my concerns with him about the finish date constantly being pushed back, and he pulled out all of the paperwork documenting the repairs and explained to me in detail the chain of command that was a part of fixing my car. It all made sense once it was explained to me...and the labour and parts cost weren't as bad as I was expecting! Granted I didn't pay for ALL of the repairs, it's nice to know that he wasn't trying to purposely gouge money out of me...or the insurance company rather. I'm very pleased with the end result and although I hope to never see him again, if I do need a repair, I will be visiting him. read more

Giving a rose to a lady goes a long way. As it is their custom to leave you with a rose with every transaction. It makes me feel special. I took my car here after I was rear-ended. There was only some minor bumper damage. And the other party's insurance AAA took care of the work. I didn't have to do any paperwork with Autotrends. I just signed off on the car. The staff is professional and friendly. And they will put pics of the work they do on your car on the website, so you can keep track of it. They will also shuttle you a few blocks to Hertz Rental if you need it or another place that's close by out of courtesy. read more

I can't believe I'm the first to review this place! First of all...everyone is super nice and when bad things happen to your car you need all the good things around you that you can handle. They take care of all haggling with the insurance company, auto parts places, rental cars. They take you where you need to go and have a very cool comfortable waiting room...with a waterfall and mini pond:). On top of that, they kept me well I formed of the repair of my car without me having to get irritated. Kevin is amazing -definitely talk to him. Referred here by a reliable source for my insurance claim. Very professional, clean, and friendly. Amber at the front desk was pleasant & friendly. Given a rose + bottle of wine as a appreciation gift. Very thoughtful. Very good work + they even have a step by step process you can check on your vehicle on their website. My only complaint is that no one communicated with me that my car would need to be kept an extra week because of a damaged part they received. A bit of an inconvenience but it all worked out. I really like this place. Never had to take my car to have body work before so my insurance sent me here. Very clean, smelled good and had a very nice look to the place. You can tell that the staff wants to be there and doesn't mind helping you. Originally I was told my car would be ready in about 5 days and it was done in 2. I want to commend Bryan who defintely has customer service, he was one of the employees, that follow up when me from the time I drop my car off to the time I pick it up. He was very pleasant and very knowledgeable. I didn't have to wait long, when processing my paperwork for my car. I got to go online and look at the processing of my car from the beginning to the end. Autotrends took good care of me. When all was done, if you did a survey on line, before you pick up your car, you got a cap of your choice design by Autotrends, and a Rose, and a Bottle of wine. The team here was friendly but it took over a month to get my car fixed after I was quoted 8 days. My insurance stopped covering my rental car and I had to return it without an end-date for repairs after several angry calls from Hertz. For three weeks in a row I called Autotrends and was told the car would be ready by the end of the week, but it was not. I finally got it back 34 days after I dropped it off. I requested they reduce my deductible to help with the inconvenience and was told they were giving the insurance company (AAA) a deal on the repairs so they could not assist. This is quite a racket when AAA sends you to a repair-shop where they get a deal and the customer gets shafted when the repairs take four-times as long as expected. Additionally, Autotrends told me several times that they would cover the additional days for rental car and then Hertz charged me. This place is a scam. read more

My brother had to bring his car back 3 times to Autotrends before the exterior paint matched the existing black color on his vehicle. The painter was rude he did not want to clean off the excess paint from the grill. He expected my brother to clean off his grill after he created the mess. Everybody I worked with there was unfailingly polite, even during some strained conversations, and even though they were the 'insurers shop of choice' I never for a moment doubted that they were on my side. From the beginning the manager Kevin was polite and understanding of my situation. I was getting my car fixed after I had been rear ended. I was having to coordinate with my insurance agent and it was a little frustrating to say the least. i don't know about you, but i find auto-related services extremely intimidating. i know i don't know much about my car, but on top of that, many places just seem ridiculously shady! autotrends makes me feel a bit better about going to the body shop. not too long ago, my passenger side mirror got smacked (almost) off. the car is from 1997, so i'm extremely hesitant to put much money into it. but after duct taping it steady for awhile, i finally decided to bite the bullet and bring the car in. kevin, of autotrends, checked it out for me. after perusing it closely, he informed me that a new mirror would easily cost $200... but if i wanted to save some money, he could likely order me a used one. he disclaimed that a used one would not be pristine, but it would likely be about 50% off. i informed him that i was all for saving money, and sure enough, he found a used mirror for less than $100. when the mirror arrived, i brought the car back in and they installed it in about half an hour. ... and a week later, kevin called me up to make sure it was still in working order! thanks so much, autotrends! you do auto body work right! read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Autotrends. A landscaping truck took a chunk out of our bumper. The company sent out an insurance guy, who assessed damage and sent us a check. We got SUPER busy and didn't end up taking it to get fixed until 9 months later! When I took it to Autotrends, they saw me right away...zero waiting. They took some photos and explained that the estimate might have gone up because 9 months had gone by, but they would let me know. Then they gave me a rose...awwww. Kevin called me soon after to let me know that the repairs WOULD cost more than the insurance company had said, but he was handling it. And he 100% did handle it. He called me again to let me know that the insurance company came by and paid the difference, and the car would be ready soon. And it was ready soon. And it looked brand new. And when I picked it up, they gave me a bottle of wine. So nice! They also cleaned the car inside and out. I also love that they gave me a tracking number, so I could track the status of repairs online and see photos of the progress. And Kevin called me a few days later to see if we were happy with the repairs. Total class act! Not only do they do a great job, but they make sure you are informed on every step of the process and that you are happy and satisfied. Took my husband's truck here after it was keyed at the Bay Street Parking lot by some teenagers. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. They answered all of our questions and worked with our insurance company to get quotes and payment confirmed. The work was excellent. My husband's car looked better than before we bought it. I have been to Autotrends twice. Each time I got EXCELLENT service. Questions were thoroughly answered; people were polite and considerate and the work was done quickly and to perfection.
