I was recently in there for my maintenance oil change, and I appreciate Coby's recommendation to service my engine a bit more. I rarely say "yes" to other services, but I'm glad that I did this time! With my newer Tahoe, I've had GM rewards. Unbeknownst to me I'd been collecting lots of points each time I was getting my routine oil change. Karen asked me at checkout if I wanted to apply my rewards, and lo-and-behold, I was able to cash in $145 off of the service! Wowzers! GM and Chevrolet have some good things going. It was a great blessing to me this time, plus their service is always really great, because they: -wash your car -have you pull in out of the weather -provide quick service -and have coupons available I appreciate everything they're doing for their customers! read more

I was told to bring my car in on 7-20-26 which I did. I arrived & was told it would be 11 days until someone could look at it. Of course I needed my car so I could not leave it. I called again 7-28-26 to see if the wait time had improved & was told that I no showed my appointment on 7-20-26 which was totally untrue and now it would be 2 to 3 weeks before someone could look at the car. I asked if I could get on a waiting list & bring the car in when it was much closer to the date the car could actually be look at. Nope - that is simply not possible. What a person to do for 2-3 weeks without transportation??? The scheduling person said me it has always been a 2-3 wk wait for car repairs. I have been to this dealership before & NEVER has it been 2-3 weeks. It has been same day or overnight for repairs. Terrible! read more

I am giving a one star rating because there is not an option for less. I helped my daughter purchase her first vehicle on 25 October. The salesman told me unequivocably that there would be a 90 day warranty that would cover anything bumper-to-bumper and I was even cited several examples. Three weeks or so after we purchased the vehicle we had to take it in for a repair to the transmission and were charged $1300. We were completely lied to by the sales department. I made three attempts to speak to someone in management to resolve the issue, twice by phone, once in person and all three failed. I implore anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership to not do so. They will lie to you in order to get your business and then not back up what they tell you. read more

I've never had a good experience at this dealership. The one time I did buy a new vehicle from them they put in many hidden " add ons " to the contract trying to sneak those extra charges in. I swore I'd never buy another vehicle from them again and I lived up to that promise all these years. My only experience with them after this was when I had a chevy vehicle ( NOT bought from them ). I had an issue with this vehicle dying on me and figured I'd have the " Chevy Dealership " look at it so I had it towed to Autonation. I received my bend you over bill for them to " look it over " for a " diagnostic " and said hell no ! I'll pick this car up and have it towed to a different shop to get the repairs done. I was stupid to give them another chance at being reasonable and honest and that was my mistake. If I was forced in the future to buy a new Chevy vehicle and there wasn't another option within 300 miles I'd happily drive to Alaska instead of going to this dealership again. read more

This happened in Sept 2021, so long over due review. We were on vacation when our car had a rattle. This dealership was near where we were staying. We called and scheduled an appointment for the next day. My hubby took it in and explained the issue and left the car. They had no rentals available, but did give my husband a ride to the hotel. We waited and waited, no communication. We called quite a few times before we could get an answer. It was something with the exhaust bracket and they couldn't fix it. They made it to where it wouldn't rattle. They had the car all day, didn't wash it or do anything above and beyond. Told us to see our dealership when we get home. read more

Hours that are posted aren't their actual hours, says till 8, but Lance informed us at 715 that they close at 7 and he didn't know where the license plates were. He continued to tell us that 8a-8pm was their "winter hours" its February 1st.... still Winter. So Lance wasn't smart enough to know his seasons! This was all after not being called that our plates were there, we had to call and get put through a series of transfers and automated systems before finally calling back after hanging up and getting someone that gave us an answer! read more

I bought my car in January after a major, unexpected wreck. After a lot of searching and a hefty rental bill, I finally found an affordable car. In the beginning, everything went great and the purchase was simple. However, when I went to pick up the car (used), it still had a chip in the windshield and a missing visor. They told me to contact them whenever I was ready to fix the issues because I couldn't do it right away. After a few weeks, I attempted to contact them about coming in to fix the issues. After a complete run around from service department, online chats, salesman, a service department manager from their other location, and a sales manager, I FINALLY was able to get in touch with them-ONLY to find out they LOST my visor. I had to work time on the weekend to take a day off in which I was able to drop in because they told me the visor was an easy fix when I got my windshield replaced. I stop by first thing in the morning, and it takes over an hour to replace. Shortly thereafter, it began getting very warm outside, and my A/C wasn't working (in January it seemed fine-duh), so I stopped again to see if they could possibly diagnose the problem-they said it would be a couple days and they couldn't just take it back to diagnose. I came home very angry, not to mention this isn't all the bad experiences of communication I had, and I left a very lengthy email to every person I had spoken to in the last few months simply informing and asking that they acknowledge there had been a problem. NOTHING. So, I changed my review, and I will be taking my business elsewhere when I go to buy a new car in about a year. What could have been repeat business has lead to a complete loss of business to a very dependable person. Make sure you get what you paid for, service and all. read more

Last December i bought a 2021 chevy colorado for my finance. It was slightly used with 27000 miles on it but was a certified used vehicle, at least that what they told me. After 3 months of owning the vehicle it has now been in the shop since march and its now almost September. 6 months they've had my vehicle and im no closer to getting it fixed or anything. They keep telling me the same thing about waiting for parts and so on. To make matters worse we were not offered a rental car or anything to help out. I ended up having to get a lemon law lawyer to help me and im still no closer to getting the car back. Because of the lack of responsibility and communication with me over this i will never buy another vehicle from them or chevy or GM for that matter again. Bait and switch - We inquired about a vehicle that they clearly stated they had in stock when in fact they did not. They quoted my car via online tool with deductions for items that should be (when have you ever got 2 keys when buying a used car?). They then offered me $2,500 less for my car which they would be making 3-5k on selling at the original offer. They didn't want me to use my bank and keep encouraging to use theirs (same bank but they got points). They wanted paperwork signed without having the car in-stock and wanted my trade left. Would give them 0 stars if I could. My son was using my truck for work & had transmission trouble. Took to Autonation for repairs & he also asked for front brake replacement. They conned a kid (20) into a "power steering fluid exchange" & "brake fluid exchange" both unnecessary at the time. Nearly $2,000 later they didn't replace the brakes, but they did manage to break off the bleeder screws on both front calipers on my five year old truck, and were dumb enough to document this & give it to me. Currently waiting on a call back from the service manager before I escalate it to GM district. Will never give them another penny read more

Had a wheel bearing and lower control arm bushing issues, and the service department gave me an estimate of $1,250.00. I called Moss Automotive on 3rd street (Mike) and read off what needed to be done, and he told me it would be an even $600. Took it to him the next day, and he called me mid-afternoon and it was running great. I will say the Chevy dealership did set me up with a loaner car for half an afternoon, and for that I'm grateful. read more

When I arrived I was greeted immediately with a warm welcome and escorted to the vehicle that was washed and full of gas waiting for me to test drive. First off the truck was priced extremely reasonable and looked and drove as described. Ann Smith is the person that I had the pleasure of dealing with. Starting from the phone call when I explained my situation there was no hesitation from her about bringing my vehicle to their establishment. As soon as I walked in she greeted me and said that they would look into my issues as soon as they can, being from out of state I really thought I would be spending most of my day waiting. I have used the service department on my car and truck for 6 years. I take my truck in to be serviced today ,and also wanted an estimate on a broken door handle. The serviceman gave me a quote, and I agreed to it. When I go to pick up my truck, the amount of the estimate had doubled. He conveniently forgot to include labour cost in the estimate. I also noticed that 2 miles had also been put on the truck since I left it. I feel like I also was charged for labour on mechanic's lunch time, although I. An't prove it. Service was friendly but that's about it. It took 2 days to set up an appointment. Once they looked at my truck, I was charged $130 for them to diagnose something they had already posted a service bulletin about (my 2010 silverado came from the factory with a defective valve cover). After I bought the part from them and replaced it at my house, I noticed it wasn't the right part. I took it to the service techs who then directed me to the parts department. At the parts department, I was told "I've sold thousands of these to service guys and they can put it on the right way." After that infuriating little episode, a mechanic ce out to look at it and agreed, I had been sold the wrong part. Instead of trying to make things right, I was told I would probably have to borrow tools and change the part in the parking lot if I wanted them to give me the right one. Luckily, the same mechanic offered to pull my truck around and just swap them out really quick. GM corporate also had nothing to say except, "let us know if we can assist you in this issue". Autonation chevrolet Cadillac is a joke (minus the mechanic, whos name was Bill) along with GM as a whole. I've been loyal to GM for over a decade and will never deal with them again. read more

I have had trouble with this place for years. I stopped using them for awhile because I had nothing but trouble. I'd take my car in and there were a few times they held on to it to see if they could locate the problem I was having. I waited a week, called back to see if it was done, and they hadn't even looked at it yet. While they had the car a hail storm came along. It got a lot of damage, half of it I had to point out to them, and they were oh so more than happy to charge me full price to fix all of it. (And by a lot of damage, I mean very noticeable. My front windshield had a crack along the bottom, back windshield was shattered and broken out, tail lights were broken, etc, etc). They only caught the obvious shattered back glass and didn't notice the rest. There were a few times I took a car in because it has slow on starting. It did it every time I tried to start it when it was hot outside. I took it in probably around six times over the course of the summer here in Texas and every time "Weird, it doesn't do it for us. We can't locate the problem." They would keep it for days supposedly going out and starting it up every now and then no see if it would do it. It never seemed to act up for them although it did for me every time. Weird. On normal trips its takes all day whether you have an appointment or not. Just a simple oil change takes them around 3 hours to complete.....every time. They will even tell you that. I bought a car from the dealership side about 6 months ago. I just took it in to have the check engine light looked at. The workers don't generally listen to me when I drop my car off because they are too busy holding lists of suggested maintenance in my face. Really?! $200 for a radiator flush. That suggestion was today. All I want is my warning light checked and he's trying to sign me up for $500 worth of extra work that only takes them 30 minutes to do. The only reason I went back to the service side was because I also purchased a bumper to bumper warranty and I figured it would be cheaper to go to them since I had it. Well, surprise...apparently I don't have a bumper to bumper warranty, only a silver service and, depending on what is wrong, they will have to contact whatever company is in charge of that and "see" if it's covered. If it is covered, I "only" have to pay the $100 deductible. If it isn't covered, I have to pay $139 diagnostic fee and pay to fix whatever is wrong with it. Plus, the sales guy tells me it's really doubtful I'll get my car back by 12:30 this afternoon, because they like to have the cars for at least half a day whenever its a check engine light problem. Considering I dropped the car off at 7:50 in the morning, I would think 12:30 wouldn't be a problem. My car is running smoothly and I really don't think it's a big issue. But what do I know! Don't go to this place for repairs. They are all about money and have poor customer service. I do think it's partially my fault. Looking back over the years, they have treated me more and more poorly simply because I let them. Now, it's just ridiculous and I'm going to have to get after them about this whole warranty thing. We took our 10 year old car in to have the transmission flushed on it. I dreaded going to a dealership for service because I thought they might try to tell us of all the things "wrong" with the vehicle and would try to get us to trade the car in and look at another vehicle. They did not! We dropped the car off, they flushed the transmission and called us within an hour to come pick it up! He's attitude was that he didn't care one bit if I bought a vehicle from the dealership or not. I would never deal with this dealership again. While in the Texas Panhandle for my mother's funeral I had some car trouble with my Hummer. OnStar recommended Westgate Chevrolet. It was very convient to my hotel and I drove right over. I was greeted immediately and drove inside a very nice service waiting area. Wade Tyler took my information gave me his card and said he would take care of everything and keep me informed as to what they found. True to Wade's word he kept me updated and my check engine light was due to a faulty thermostat, I also had a Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor that was malfunctioning. While doing their multipoint inspection they also found I would be needing a front brake job soon, which I already knew, so I had them repair the brakes as well. The service was done quickly and Wade contacted me as soon as the repairs had been made. They were all very kind and expressed their condolences regarding the loss of my mother. VERY DISSATISFIED with recent service experience. Feel like I was taken advantage of. Service Advisor would not return phone calls until 3rd or 4th time and until my husband finally called her. Took car in on Thusday evening so they could begin work on it Friday. Was called Friday morning & told additional work was needed so car would not be ready until Saturday or possibly Monday. Was told by advisor that she would let me know. Heard nothing from her - after 2 phone calls on Monday that were not answered/returned, I finally called the main Service Department number & was transferred to her line & she picked up immediately. At that time I was told that she didn't know if they'd even started on my car yet. Very inept & really didn't seem to care that I was upset. After several more phone calls, inquiries, & becoming even more upset, I was called around 4:45pm Monday & told my car was ready. I live 45 minutes away & had to make new arrangements to go get my car. Also was told on Friday morning when I was contacted by the service advisor that a 5 yr car anniversary coupon that I had received for 10% off could be used on this service visit. ANOTHER lie. My total bill was $2026.26 & NO 10% discount was applied. Of course, service advisor was no where around when I picked up my car. Needless to say - I am DONE with AutoNation Westgate Chev. I will NOT step foot in that dealership again. All my future car needs & purchases will be taken elsewhere. read more

My wife and I both work in the medical field. We drive by your dealership daily and I drive through your lot on a regular basis. I must say, you guys have the worst used car selection in all of Amarillo. I just purchased a newer Tahoe (2013) LTZ from Street Toyota and had a pleasant experience. I wish I could have purchased it from a GM Certified dealership in Amarillo because of the additional warranty coverage and oil changes. My wife wanted a nice used Impala or Malibu but I think we'll buy a good used Camry that's certified because you guys don't ever have anything. read more

Unfortunate as it is, I used to work for this company. I left because of the horrible treatment I received from my immediate manager. 9 months of trying to follow with my ethics and best judgment to suck it up and do my job to the best of my ability hoping he'd see my worth and lay off me. i don't leave jobs easily (I was at my previous place of employment almost 8 years) Every day of giving my 110% still was not good enough and after being yelled at in front of customers, on numerous occasions, and being targeted in department meetings for complaints outside of my control, I had enough and had to go. Recently I called to obtain proof of employment for a home loan. The receptionist forwarded me to an unnamed voicemail, which I hung up on and immeditaely called back explaining to her that it was urgent and I needed to speak with someone, not a voicemail, to obtain proof of employment for a home loan. She then sent me to another voicemail, at which time, I did leave a message letting her know it was very urgent that I obtain this proof of employment, so much so that I could come pick it up in person, but needed it today. I didn't receive a call back-still have not-5 days later. When I called back 4 hours later, the receptionist must have recognized my number because she REFUSED to answer my call. She kept picking up and without saying a word, forwarded me to the same voicemail. sO i called again, and again, picked up and without a word began looping my call back through their automated system where you are forced to continually pressed numbers to get back to speak with her. After 3 (!!!) times of her picking up & transferring my call back to the automated system, finally, she had a SALESMAN answer her phone! John was great! Took the time to answer the phone, listen to my frustrations about the receptionist refusing to answer my call & said he would speak with someone else & get me a phone number & website I could go to to print it myself. Within minutes, he called me back with a phone number to call. Unfortunately, because it was so late in the day at that point, I was still unable to obtain proof of employment. WHAT GOOD IS A RECEPTIONIST WHO REFUSES TO ANSWER THE PHONE??? Who can't direct you to the correct person you're needing? Incompetence is not a quality I displayed in my position there, yet was belittled daily, so why is your receptionist, the FIRST contact a customer makes with your company allowed to be so incompetent, rude, and unwilling to do her job? We purchased a used vehicle from this company at full price and within two weeks the vehicle required to be placed in service for leak on the intake valve. We asked for the company to make right on the fact that they sold this vehicle to us without ensuring it had no troubles, but the company refused to do so. They had advised they put the vehicle through service before they put it out on lot to be sold. If that had been the case we would not of had to spend the 700.00 for new tires, the rear headlamp cover would not have been cracked and the vehicle would have been detailed. On top of the money we are out to make the repairs, this company was also to pay for the tag title and tax as part of the sale, we ended up having to cover a portion of the cost when we went to pick up the plate. So repair to vehicle, additional cost for the title transfer that should have been covered and poor service after the sale. I would stay far away from this company if you are looking for a respectable company to buy your vehicle from. read more

I Took my vehicle in for a manufacture's recall. They spoke to the Hummer Dealership in charge of the recall and then took my VIN # and all of my information on my Hummer 2 days before and made me an appointment to get the recall done ( motor blower on my a/c - heater unit). I got there and the service manager had no idea I drove a Hummer and thought they were going to service a Yukon. I left it there and before even getting into the shuttle he was trying to sell me wiper blades for only $25 . I got home and less then an hr. later he called and told me I needed a $40 battery cleaning job and that I had a cracked radiator ( which is not true) They would be happy to put a new one if for me for $942. I told him to please just fix the recalled heating unit. I went to pick it up and they told me I owed them $382. Then gave me the paperwork for my vehicle and it said they changed my oil. I had my oil just changed a week before and didn't ask them to change it. I asked them what kind of oil they put in it and they had no idea. They finally got ahold of the service tech and asked him what kind because I run Castrol in it and they suddenly decided that they didn't change my oil. So the girl in the office scratched the changed oil off of my receipt . Geeze!! Then she told me I need to replace my air filter ( which was also replaces a week ago ). Then I got in my vehicle to leave and they had run my battery down and tried to tell me I needed to buy a new battery from them I told them to please just jump start me and get me out of their parking lot!! I will never use them again or recommend them to anyone I know!! read more
