This review is for the Service Dept. I arrived for my appointment a few minutes early but was told I would need to wait for 3 hours for my oil change. I was encouraged to leave and come back on another day/time. I was also told that the appointments online did not work properly and a phone in appointment did not guarantee that my car would be serviced, only that a service advisor would write the ticket. Actual service was first come first serve. Also, the Jeep Wave and VIP service did nothing to help getting the oil changed and tires rotated. Also, told that if I needed a loaner car one might be available in January. If you have another ride and can leave your vehicle this location may be acceptable, but if you wish to wait on-site the time required for a simple service was unacceptable. read more

I purchased a 2020 Tacoma from this location. We were also "sold" an extended warranty. When the very expensive windshield cracked (sitting still in a parking lot in the hot sun) we made a claim. We received no response for weeks, and Auto Nation was completely uncaring. When the fraudulent warranty provider finally responded, we were told that we had WAITED TOO LONG to make the claim! We hold Auto Nation fully responsible for selling us this scam of a product. We have a legitimate claim and this warranty was not cheap. I paid good money for the Platinum coverage. My truck was within the mileage and they cover injectors, (not cheap). But because I did not turn in the paperwork request within 30 days, it was denied. Now from where I sit. I paid the warranty up front, I was well within my rights to get reimbursed because in was covered. So who cares if it's not within 30 days. Don't ever get this coverage, they find any excuse not to pay. I looked through all my paperwork for this warranty and no where does it say, I have 30 days. Dealing with dealerships has been daunting (that's a tongue twister if said fast and multiple times). And, when I arrived in Texas a little over 2 weeks ago, I couldn't believe that right off the starting line my truck got sick (Guess count my blessings I made it all the way here, 1400+ miles, in one piece and it started acting up two days later). So, I thought well here we go, my transmission had issues, my front end was making noises, overdue on an oil change, and a run around was to ensue, right? I can honestly say I was the happiest person to be WRONG (cant say I like being wrong, in this case I'll admit it gladly) My service writer, Doug Douglass (another tongue twister) was great, super friendly, worked out all the details of everything being covered under the warranty, got me in a rental car, and made sure my life was interrupted as little as possible (granted the separation anxiety from my truck for a little over a week well nothing could smooth that over, this girl loves her truck). I wasn't given the run around as I was so used to at previous dealerships at which I had been a frequent customer of. The only thing I didn't like was lack of keeping me informed of my trucks ETA but again I think it might have been the separation anxiety getting the best of me. What a waste of my time! Service advisors blames the appointment taker for giving me bad information! The appointment taker assure me the inspection time to look at the high pressure fuel pump recall would take between 1-2 hours, as I only have a 2-3 hours available to wait the morning of the appointment. I have bought three trucks in the last four years from this dealership. Do you think they would be a little more attentive and responsive when I needed something I just called to book service because having issues with some of the electronics in my 2022 ram TRX And they told me I cannot get it in there for service for the next two weeks and then it Hass to be there for 4 to 5 days for on top of that for diagnostics and then I can't even get a loaner or possibly a rental which makes no sense especially under warranty needless to say I will most likely never go back there for service or to buy another vehicle. I really wish I could give them zero stars, however since I cannot, they get one. The sales representative was a young, inexperience, vaping clown that lied to me on multiple occasion. I should have just left and taken my business elsewhere right then and because I did not, they have stolen $3500 from me! The management team is a joke and they lie as well. I put $3500 CASH as a down payment and as soon I drive it onto Interstate 45, I knew it was not a mechanically sound vehicle, anything close to the value of what I was purchasing it for. I immediately called my sales rep and told him I wanted to return it and get the other jeep I had test drive instead. I was told that because it was late on a Friday afternoon to return it on Saturday, only to be called a short time later and then was told that Saturdays were "by appointment only" and he could not make me an appointment. He called again and said that I could return it on Monday. The date I purchased the first Jeep Cherokee was Wednesday May 29, 2024 and I was not able to pick it up until Friday May 31, 2024. When I returned it the following Monday, as instructed, I was told that my original paperwork on the one I returned was still in their accounting department and I would need to wait until it was fully processed before they could write up the paperwork on the 2nd jeep cherokee. I was asked to switch my insurance to the 2nd one, provide another copy of my DL and asked to sign a document that stated the 2nd Jeep was being loaned to me until paperwork was complete. I then left in the second jeep on June 3, 2024 and was told they would call me when I could return to sign my loan documents and contract for the second jeep. I had recently switched jobs and was told to give paystubs and employment information for the job I had just left because I had been there a number of years and had only been at the new job a few weeks. In the days between June 3, 2024 and June 19, 2024 I was contacted by Autonation's finance manager via text message stating that the finance company had attempted to verify my employment and were told I no longer worked there and I needed to produce new pay stubs or return the vehicle that day. I was highly upset bit I gave them the pay stub from my current employer and then my current employer called the finance company to offer a verification of employment, which had to be done twice because the finance company did not put in the information when he called the first time. I was then called by the finance company who performed my welcome call and informed me of my first payment set to be due on June 30, 2024, but I still had not been called by the dealership to resign my documents on the vehicle. They had asked me to submit another pay stub as well as my bank statements for the last 3 months, which I provided to them. On June 19, 2024 after 3 pm, I received a call from another member of the finance team that informed me that the finance company had denied my loan and I would need to return the vehicle to them. I then contacted the finance company to find out why they denied my loan after giving them everything they had asked for and was only told that the dealership needed to contact the finance company and someone would contact me after that. I had to work on June 20th and made arrangements to return the vehicle on Friday the 24th when I was off work, and was told I could pick up a check for the down payment I made in the amount of $3500. On Friday June 21, 2024 I returned the vehicle and it was visually inspected for damages and found there was not any and when I asked about my down payment I was lied to and said that they do not cut checks from there and then told by the same person that their system was down so they couldn't. I was then instructed to sit in the lobby area while they spoke with a manager about the matter. I was then addressed by the finance manager, Ignacio who had text me that first day about my employment verification, who told me in their lobby that my check would be ready for pick up there in 3-5 business day. I asked if I could keep the vehicle until then and his exact words were "I don't give a shit if you do or not" and then he left to get the keys or so I was told. Another 10-15 minutes went by and I was approached by the sales manager who informed me that I was not getting a check that day and it would be 3/5 business days and that I was not leaving in the vehicle and then he said to me "the finance company was about to call and file charges on me for fraud, because I had given them fake pay stubs and bank statements". I was appalled at his accusations that were not true and completely embarrassed that such things had been said to me in the lobby of their business! I had no choice but to leave in an Uber that took me to obtain a rental car so I could get back home and sort this all out. Today is Monday July 8, 2024 and I have not received my down payment of $3500 from Autonation!!!! They stole my money! read more

I would give this dealership zero stars! They are a true bait and switch dealership! This place is why people do not trust car salesmen. On Tuesday (1/14/25) I saw a Toyota Tundra online at Edmunds.com. I filled out the form to be contacted by a salesperson because I was interested in the truck. About an hour later I received a phone call from Thomas Black, a so called salesman at the dealership. I asked if the truck was still available and he assured me that it was by allegedly going and finding the keys. I told him that I was coming from League City and I didn't want to drive all that way if the truck was not there. Since he said the truck was there I made an appointment for the next day (1/15/25) at 6 pm to come look at the truck. I got a bad feeling about this deal because I looked at all the poor YELP reviews about the dealership. Since it was a rainy day and driving in rush hour traffic, it took me 2 hours to get to the dealership in Spring from League City. I met Thomas at the dealership at 6:30 pm. I sat down at his desk and he checked me in and then went to go get the keys for the truck. He seemed to be gone a long time to go just get keys. When he returned to his desk, without any keys, he said that another salesman had sold that truck earlier that day. I immediately got up and became furious because I had just driven 2 hours to come to this dealership only to be told the truck had been sold. He didn't have the common decency to call me and tell me that the truck had sold before I traveled all that way. I had a feeling this was going to be a bait and switch from the very beginning and I should have listened to my gut. I can almost guarantee that they never had that truck when I filled out the form and were just wanting me to come up and do the bait and switch to try and sell me a different more expensive truck. The sales guy, Thomas Black, acted like he didn't know about it being sold. I asked to speak to the supervisor and told him that I had just traveled 2 hours only to be scammed. The manager tried to say it was just human error and that it happens. I told him I was a Houston Police Officer and that when people lie like that, I never trust another word out of their mouth. I brought my car here because it was raining and my trunk latch broke. So my trunk would not close. I figured it would be a $100 part and maybe $50 to have them throw it in. I wasn't too concerned. So I brought it in and signed the waiver that it would be $170 diagnostic fee if I didn't have the work done there. I get a call a day later informing me it would be $630 to fix. I looked up the part and found it online for $80. It took me 10 min to change it out!!! Two bolts and a wire that plugs straight in. When I got my car back they still charged me $100 because of that BS diagnostic charge. Place is a complete scam/rip off. $630 for a part that cost me $80 and literally 15 min to change!!!! This dealership's service department is horrible. The service writer that was assigned to me was really rude as well. I've got roughly 23,000 miles on my Jeep and he was arguing with me about having too many miles on my Jeep after a year. On top of that my complaint was about my radio/navigation shuts off and restarts while driving, and my controls for my side view mirrors quit working, and the passenger side button on the door handle quit locking the doors. I had done research on the plug harnesses on the JL edition jeeps and they've got horrible reviews. Everyone is having problems with the pins bending. Really bad design!!!! Anyhow the dealership decided to look into the repairs, the Jeep is still under warranty till 36,000 miles but I get a phone call that they have to charge me $169 for a diagnostic charge. Really, what happened with the warranty. The service writer and service department is absolutely horrible!!!! I would not recommend this place at all. Hell I wouldn't even by a vehicle there. So I'm changing my review up a little and I'll explain the situation. On Friday I bought a car from benjamin and Ignacio. The transaction went fantastic, professional, kind, and great customer service. I had a little issue with the tire and that was taken care of the next day. The problem that I had was I noticed some issues with the car alot of small things that painted a different story. I inquired if the car had been in an accident and benjamin said no, nothing was noted. However looking further into the vehicle Sunday it was clear something had happened and it was disclosed. I went in on Monday morning expecting the worst and it was the exact opposite. I spoke with the GM and he didn't see any accidents mention (I also had a tag on my spare that mentioned it being wrecked) so he passed me off to another guy (I'm sorry I don't remember the name) and he went all around the store for about 10 minutes and found out that in fact the car was in an accident and it wasn't disclosed. However it wasn't disclosed because it wasn't written down. So they ended up switching me over into the twin of the vehicle I had previously gotten and it went smoothly. The salesman who help me was great (joseph I think) and I worked with Ignacio again he was fantastic once again. I really went in thinking I was fixing to get screwed and that this wouldn't have a happy ending. However that was not the case. I was treated kindly and with professionalism. They apologized for the issues that happened and even took my notes that showed what was wrong with the vehicle to get it repaired properly. Now they gave 5 star service however I took away a star just because of the document issues. I would hope that they look into why it wasn't documented and get that sorted out as I wouldn't want anyone to get a vehicle that was in a wreck and them not know. read more

It's up to senior management to see that ALL patrons are treated respectfully, honestly, plus oversee the buyer's experience as a whole. After all, this is what keeps them in business and in good standing with the community. There is NO reason to rip off a retired senior citizen, ever. In addition, I see it posted online for 7k above what they gave me the very next week. I'm sorry, that's just wrong. Now don't get me wrong here, I love the new car, just wish it had leather instead of the cloth. Once I saw the car I noticed it had cloth. The salesman said oh, that was just a stock picture, I don't know why they do that. I do! It's called bait and switch!!. The salesman kept saying but we are giving you 8k off of the new car! Really? Then why does the bottom number show sales price at 51k when it was online for 43K with the leather interior mind you. He said oh, that package is 9100 more! Long story short I ended up after all said and done financing 55k! So where was the 8k in savings the salesman was talking about? Apparently nonexistent. I am only rating the service dept process. My Durango had a battery die and they were on backorder so the dealership gave me a loaner. The staff were all helpful and understanding especially in the cashier area. My issue is, in today's time, with the technology we have there should be no reason I have to wait DAYS for my service advisor to return my call or to keep me updated. All staff answering the phone should have the tools and empowerment to update he customers. I blame who is over the business process. I hope they fix it because the staff was nice and pleasant to deal with but will never bring my vehicle back here for any service work. Just got the car and after being in the service department for more than a month, it had a low tire pressure indicator on it that whoever started the car and brought to front should have seen. I purchase a Truck from AutoNation Chrysler Dodge Jeep RA. On August 6, 2020. My car sales man was Hunter. Hunter did whatever he could to get me in the truck. Once the deal was complete Hunter was going to send me a copy of the manual for truck which he never did. I was never shown how to use the truck. In September I call the Dealer ship three different times in regards to my plates. Each time I was told they were mailed off. The fourth time I called an employee stated he was going to go find out about my plates and call me back never received a call. On September 30, 2020 I reach out to my sales man Hunter state I am still wait on my plates. I informed him my temp tag expires on Oct 6, 2020. Hunter stated he was not able to do anything until my tags have expired. Hunter then states I found your TXLP would like me to mail them to you. I stated yes if you could. It does not take 9 days to mail plates. On Oct. 7, 2020 my tags are expired. I called Mr. Hunter cell phone twice which he did not answer or returned either call. I even texted him twice in regards to my temp tags that are now expired and my TXLP. Mr. Hunter read both messages on his IPhone and chose not to respond. On Oct. 9, 2020 I called the dealer ship and ask to speak with the manager of use cars. The manager was nice stated he would look into where my plates were and call me back. Once again never receive a call back not surprised. I now have temp tags that are expired. This car dealer ship only wants your money they are not worried about customer service. Brought my wrangler in since my Wranglers power steering was out. Went ahead and did my 75k maintenance. Was told I needed numerous things fixed from what the tech found. I also asked for a vacuum, and my Jeep was still dirty supposedly after the Clorox spray. Had it towed to my home dealer Northwest Jeep, and turns out only my pump is broken. Have 3 late model CJR products. Past experience has been good but it has been very dependent on the service advisor. Recent service visits have dropped greatly in quality. Lots of issues of various types. I have generally let them do all maintenance, tires, batteries, etc due to convenience - never the best price. But will stop all of that. Seems the place is becoming more of an oil change shop than anything else. Scheduled an appointment that took a week to get in. Then was told I needed to leave it a week before they even get to it for diagnostics. No loaner offered, even though we bought max extended warranty package. The advisor gave us a bunch of excuses that this is normal. We know it is not based on our prior experience with other vehicles - but as noted that was oil change and recalls. Maybe this is the "new normal". Which is not acceptable to anyone I would imagine. Will be looking for another service provider / dealer. If all CJR dealers are like this, then maybe I need to look at other manufacturers. I was the only customer in the service department at 7:45 am, or at least that I could see. But there were many service people sitting at their stations. Again Need to look for a better CJR dealer or start buying other products. read more

I live in Denver and had been scouring online sites for at least a month looking for a Jeep Rubicon. They are super hard to come by in Colorado, especially a Rubicon 4X4. I thought I had found THE one at this location. So I called and spoke to TRAVIS. He was incredibly knowledgeable about Jeeps (the different models, upgrades, suggested options to consider and things that you don't really need but are nice to have, etc.). However, the Jeep had sold that day!! What a bummer. There was another one in Fort Worth they could possibly ship to Houston. He checked with his manager that they could ship the car to the Houston location. Which was amazing because Autonation is not like CarMax in that they do transfers. You have to purchase the vehicle site unseen, and then pay for shipping costs yourself, which I'm VERY uncomfortable doing. I don't trust Carfax reports 100% because I bought a vehicle with a "clean" carfax that had been wrecked and not reported in the past. I looked into airfare on Southwest, drive times back to Denver, gas$$ back to Denver, etc. However, at the 25th hour, I found a Jeep Rubicon locally in Denver that would not require flying or driving to TX during the Covid pandemic! Thank god! However, I wanted to write this review for TRAVIS because I would highly recommend him to my family and friends that live in Houston. He was a stellar communicator and knows cars inside and out!! Do yourselves a favor and ask for TRAVIS at this location! read more

This isn't my first negative experience with AutoNation, but it will be my last. for starters the sales staff were great.... this review is for the service center. I've been in there for recalls, a warranty issues, and normal service (oil changes, etc) and every time there is as issue. The prices are never quoted or predictable. My last experience (and I mean the last time I'll ever go there) I scheduled a warranty job and to have my car serviced 3-4 weeks out while I was going to be out of town and wouldn't need my car. The lady on the phone, who I scheduled with, took my appointment, even asked if I needed my tires rotated while they changed my oil. I told her no thanks. Long story short, when I picked up my car, after they had it for 5 days, my service wasn't done and there was no offer to pull it back in and complete it for me. The service advisor just said, oh sorry it wasn't on my sheet. Well I'm sorry, I won't be spending my money there anymore. They only want you for 10 point reviews through dodge.... they call and hound you to change anything that isn't a 10 to a 10.... how about figure out how to make people happy the first time. read more

I bought a Ram 2500 in April 2021. I was told by my salesman and my service rep that the oil was changed and the fuel filters were also changed as part of the incoming vehicle service. The first week of October, on a whim, I checked the oil in my truck, the oil was barely showing up on the dipstick and it was well below safe level. At this point the truck had roughly 7000 more miles on it than when I purchased it. My local oil change guy said that the oil he observed out of the truck's reservoir had to be well over two years old. Having found out this, I changed my own oil filters both water separator and forward filter. The rear filter was clogged and the front filter was a NAPA Gold. I called the service department to get an explanation of why a Ram dealer would install a non-Mopar part. All I got was the runaround and more dishonesty. I'm glad I checked the oil because there's no telling what kind of damage would have been done with the oil as old as it was and low as it was. My recommendation, save yourself some hardship and don't go there. read more

I've NEVER had a dealership (especially the one I purchased my vehicle from) tell me they're NOT going to work on my vehicle! I take my truck into this location because I felt I was having some electrical issues. (This isn't the exact location I purchased from but the location on North Freeway doesn't do repairs any longer and they never notified their customers of this) so I drop my truck off at this Spring location and was told it would be 7 to 10 BUSINESS days before they could get a tech to look at it. In the interim, I called to get a status update. Their phone system is garbage. It sends you through all these prompts just for no one to answer. I had to go through the sales prompt to get to service where no one answered. Left a message and my service rep never called back. When she finally did I was told it still hadn't been assigned to a tech. On the 9th business day (the 13th day of not having my vehicle) I get a call I forget the time but it was before noon. (I have the message saved) they don't open till 9am so after having my truck 13 days it only took a couple of hours to tell me your NOT going to work on my truck. Not here's the problem this is what it's going to take to fix it. Or there are some other issues if you would like us to proceed then this is what will transpire. No! She just told me that there was a leak in my third break that my amp for my music was draining my battery and because of the aftermarket music they weren't going to work on it. Not that they can't. They weren't. I've had aftermarket music in all my vehicles and have never been told this. It is professionally installed. I took my truck back to the shop I had the music installed at and they checked every thing being that there is a lifetime warranty on their installation and they found nothing wrong with the install. Tested the battery and alternator and it was good. This is the second time I've felt with this location. The first was unpleasant also I didn't even leave my car. Also when you schedule online they have you feel out this form stating everything you want done and have problems with but when you get there they don't have it the info. Don't waste your time they're going to ask you again anyway. AND normally when I take my vehicle in to the DEALERSHIP ,not matter what I brought it in for they do a multipoint visual inspection. Top off my fluids and in most cases wash it. None of that here.. I will just take it to texan dodge from now on where my deductible will be $50 more. read more

I know some of the reviews are not good but I have to say that we had a great experience here. We bought a preowned Tacoma and worked with Enoch for our salesman. He was friendly and accommodating to our requests. The finance manager Damian Martin worked with our credit to get us a good deal and we felt very comfortable with our payment. Overall, I would recommend buying a us3d vehicle here. As for service and new sales, I cannot speak as we didn't deal with those areas. I took my car In to be serviced for a flat tire. I bought the tire warranty so they replaced the tire for free which was nice but they didn't put my spare back into my trunk. I can't speak for the service center, but... I purchased a new Ram 1500 here and the transaction went pretty smooth, I knew what I wanted so I didn't have to haggle with the salesman or anything. I thought the price was fair and was ready to pay. My only gripe was I brought cash, I called beforehand and asked if it was okay, salesman told me yes. I get there, and cash it not okay. Cashier's check it is, well I had to wait until the next day to do that since the banks had closed already. Would give 0 stars if I could: was CALLED A B**** BY THE GENERAL MANAGER OF THE STORE BILL SEISMAN and refused service because I sent a police officer in to receive my GAP policy coverage #. the Indian finance manager Adeel Raseeq who financed it @ the gulf freeway location (which now works at this spring location), never returned any phone calls voicemails or emails regarding the situation, I was explained time and time again nothing was in the system with the info given and he was "not available" FOR WEEKS OF BACK N FORTH I'M TOLD THERE WAS NO GAP COVERAGE PURCHASED ON THAT VEHICLE NOR WAS THAT VIN # ANYWHERE IN AUTONATION INVENTORY STOCK @ ANY LOCATION EVEN THOUGH IT WAS PURCHASED AT AUTONATION. After I get legal authorities involved and call AutoNation HR to complain about him calling me a b*** the overall customer service I WAS NEVER CALLED BACK OR UPDATED....ONLY AFTER I got my bank with proof of payment and legal affairs involved and within a week LORD AND BEHOLD A POLICY NUMBER APPEARED OUT OF NOWHERE. It was a nightmare to sell my Jeep to them and I walked in holding my title! Then they told me a price, then told me a $5,000 lower price saying they couldn't sell it for what they originally thought. Finally, they listed it online for 6,500 more than they gave me when a they specifically told me they would only list it for $1,500 more than they gave me for my Jeep. Total rip off. They lie. Update: Now the check engine light came on last night and it also said the gas is cominv out of the car because the knob cant tighten. They sold us a 2015 dodge grand caravan with a bad battery, they said they were going to inspect the van up and down before selling it and said it had no problems and was good to go. They said if a car has a problem with it that they couldn't sell it nor drive it off the lot. They wouldn't let my husband take the van to a place to have it checked. After the limited warranty ran out my husband was driving downtown and the van stopped working and had to get it jumped, when he came home same day he had to jump it again. He had to pay $100 for a new battery. When i called the dealership they said they would have the guy who sold it to us call us back. Well he did and said he didn't think the warranty covered batteries. I am currently waiting to hear back from Auto Nation the company not this place. read more

Worst car buying experience ever! My sales man was completely sloppy, careless and unprofessional. When we picked up a car, that we purchased with a cashiers check, the work that was promised was incomplete. The car felt like a lemon, so we returned it the next day. Getting our money back has been like pulling teeth. The dealership now has disregarded us and is telling us we now have to deal with corporate. We were told we would have a check in 3-5 days and now they are saying 10 more days. Our sales person was vaping while my family were looking at cars in the beginning process.
