DO NOT! I repeat DO NOT buy a vehicle from this corrupt dealer. I went in to buy a car, picked a used car, agreed to their terms and signed. I could not drive the car off the lot because after losing my car and everything I've ever owend in both hurricane Helene and Milton, my insurance closed my insurance policy after they paid me out so I needed to secure my insurance first. The manager Peter Rusnak in front of 5 employees said they were taking the car off the lot for me and were going to clean it up for me. I piad 1 year of insurance and called the dealer to let them know that I would be picking up the car since I now had insurance. They informed me that they sold the car right out from underneath me and told me they NEVER take used cars out of the lot. I spoke to another manager named Chris and he said sorry, nothing we can do for you. WTF!! you cant even keep your own word? We were going to buy 2 vehicles from them. Needless to say, they cost me over $2000 to insure a car they already sold and didnt have the balls to tell me. They pulled my credit which lowered my credit score by 12 points. I'm not even gonna give them a star but to add this I had to give a one. Purchased a car from them, actually three within a year decided I didn't really want my truck that I purchased on January 8, 2022, so I called them and decided that I wanted to trade it for a car but in order to do that I would have cancel my warranties for them to buy it back I had to wait almost 3 months to cancel my warranty and get the refunds (they sold me the warranties that auto that are also auto nations.) When I tried to get help nobody would return the phone calls not even the general manager. Not corporate But a general manager from another facility called me back. Then when the warranties are finally taken off the loan and I sell the truck back for one amount, their corporate office decided to get a new payoff seven days after I sold it to them, changed my pay off They decided they were going to pay $4114 less than they should. Also found out that the finance manager who did my paperwork was let go for forging documents, which didn't make any difference to me until they tried to screw me out of my $4114 Had to go down to the dealership and threaten to call news on my side, get a lawyer. We drove 2 hours to the dealer and was happy with used the car we purchased but the ancillary service was not good at all. Plus they really beat us up on the trade, should have never accepted their offer but unfortunately we did, it still bothers me. The manager said take the deal or I'll give you your key back and you can go home. They promised they would give us a wheel aliment because it was pulling to the right on the test drive but after several calls and no commitment to get it done I gave up. The worst part was when we finished all the paper work over one hour and paid cash for the car, on our way out they handed me ONE key fob for the vehicle. I asked for a second and they said that's all they have. I asked them to mail one to me and I would have it programed but they refused twice. After two weeks we ended up buying a new key FOB, getting it programed and got a 4 wheel aliment several hundred dollars later! Be very cautious of this dealer. After having purchased four cars through AutoNation Ford, we had a car transmission go out 24 days after the warranty expired. No help, not even and I'm sorry this happened. The buck got passed from person to person, after three weeks we had to have a car fixed elsewhere at a premium. There is no loyalty to their customers! Scheduled appointment for service on 12/14/2021 for 2/4/2022. Dropped off my car for warranty concerns and an oil change and rotation. Was told that they don't have enough staff to even look at my car until the next week. I said ok, I'll bring it back on that day. Was told no, I'd have to leave it until they could see it. So I said ok, then I'll take a loaner car. Again, not Autonations policy to loan a car that I would have to rent a car at my expense. Let me start by saying the gentleman at the front was very nice. My concern with bringing my car here is that I don't trust that the mechanics are doing what you are actually being charged for. I came in for an oil change and tire rotation . I always mark my tires so I know that they get rotated. On the bill it states that they rotated my tires, but when I got my car back, the tires were the same. They took my car back once again to rotate the tires, but when I got my car back, they were the same. The just pretended to "rotate" my tires. I didn't say anything because I had already waited 2 1/2 hours for a simple oil change and I had to go. I don't recommend this place because they are careless and I know they scam people on these "packages" they offer. They have very young inexperienced mechanics who may not be so well versed in car repair and I imagine their turnover is high. The work you will get here is half assed and sloppy. I got my car back with the check engine light on and my tires NOT rotated. Please find a trusty mechanic and only bring your car here for recalls. read more

I brought my F250 here when the radiator started leaking. I was too far from another Ford dealer, so I decided to give these guys another chance. Long story short - don't trust these guys. they significantly inflated the repair time above the manufacturer's specification. Further, I only found out after a lot of questioning, then they told me their practice is to take the "Aldata" labor times and increase them by 40%. Just for verification, I called the Ford dealer where I used to live a couple counties over. Visiting from NYC, I had a new Ford Transit passenger van and the low tire pressure light cane on in addition to another dashboard light which I couldn't figure out what it was even searching through the owners manual. I popped into AutoNation service department and was immediately helped by a very customer oriented, professional named Andrew Bilan. He was kind. Super supportive, didn't talk to me like I was dumb (considering the low tire pressure light was an obvious fix) and helped me in a very prompt manner. He was able to determine 2 of my 4 tires were actually over inflated. He adjusted all the tire pressure and was able to quickly determine the warning light on my dash! Not only did they make this process PAINLESS, they treat me like family every time I walk through those doors. I keep forgetting the gentleman's name who helped my Friday morning, but I can't help but remember Cassand...I mean Moses', name. They had me laughing, took care of my rental reservation while I wasn't looking, and every employee I have come across has been amazing. They just straight up care about their business and it shows. They added bogus diagnostic's and the problem that I said was wrong with it was the issue the whole time. The stress of having to wait on the side of the road for a tow truck twice in a row should be enough to make things right, I even purchased a used vehicle from them with a warranty and now they are all about the money and are trying to stick me with everything. Unfortunately - I need to write this poor review for the maintenance department and for the general manager. Summary: my Ford truck, covered under warranty, has a serious, intermittent problem with the 4WD system. The service director, the service manager, and the GM, all acknowledge the problem and that it's a known problem with these trucks ("repaired this problem 60-80 times over the last year" says the service manager) - but they refuse to make the repair unless they can duplicate it while they drive my truck - "when it gets worse, bring it back and we will try to duplicate." Note to Dean, Shannon, and David: you seem like nice guys, but you are not living up to your professional responsibilities. This is your problem to solve with the Ford warranty department, not mine. Details: On my 2018 Ford F-150, with about 48K miles (still under the power train warranty), the 4WD system intermittently tries to engage on its own. The 4WD engagement shaft partially engages the 4WD gear housing, causing a very loud metal on metal grinding noise and certainly damaging those parts as they grind against each other. A Ford mechanic told me "when the sound happens, switch to 4WD high, and if the sound goes away, it's the IWE system of the 4WD." So when the sound happened, I did that, and the sound went away. I even took a video of the sound and it going away with 4WD high, and I provided that video to this dealership. I took my truck to this dealership for repair. They drove it around for a few minutes, and since they could not duplicate the problem - because it is intermittent - they refused to make this repair that they acknowledge is covered under the power train warranty. Shannon, the Service Manager, told me "we know it's a problem with these trucks...we've replaced 60-80 of these IWE systems over the last year. If it was up to me, I'd replace the whole system and send you on your way [the right answer by the way], but I can't because of Ford's warranty policy. Your problem will get worse - when it does, bring it back and we will try to duplicate again." David, the Service Director, told me the same thing and offered to "drive the truck to try to pinpoint the problem" - which is a probable waste of his time and further waste of my time since the problem is intermittent. Dean, the general manager of the dealership, told me "call Ford yourself because they won't listen to us about these kind of issues" - basically, we wash our hands of this problem - it's your job to solve it with the Ford bureaucracy. Meanwhile, the 4WD system engages intermittently, grinding away at the gears and further damaging my truck. The right answer here is "we know your truck has an IWE 4WD system problem that is covered under the power train warranty, and we know it's a common problem on your type of truck. Since we can't exactly pin point what part of the system is the problem, we are going to replace the whole IWE system to ensure that there is no further damage to your truck." But rather than work out this issue with Ford management, this Ford dealership simply washes its hands of my problem and puts the onus on me to "solve it with Ford - though we will back you up if necessary" - so says the GM. Bottom line: this Ford dealership acknowledges that my truck has a problem (common to my type of truck) covered under warranty, but they refuse to fix the problem until "we can duplicate it" - even though I gave them video proof of the problem and partially diagnosed the problem (sound goes away in 4WD high). It's this Ford dealership's job - not my job - to figure out the "bureaucratic process with Ford" to repair my truck covered under warranty. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and posting this review on other social media sites because the representatives of the Ford company at this dealership are shirking their professional responsibilities to repair my truck covered under warranty. read more

I took my 2011 Ford Fusion in for a brake issue and they had my car for a couple days. Remind you a 2011, only 5 years old. They came back with a quote of $2500 to replace two parts. But that's not even the kicker, they told me that they were not sure if that would fix the problem and once replaced they could take them off and refund me. So basically they were guessing on what was wrong with my car. They were very nice when telling me that they were not sure what was wrong with my Ford. I am writing to you to let you know of the horrific service we had at Auto Nation Ford in Bradenton, Florida. It was so bad that we had our car towed off the lot to another service station. The mechanics have no idea what they are doing and the managers have NO customer service skills. We felt that they created issues with the car and was scamming us. Our car broke down on interstate 75 Thursday evening 12/17. The electrical system failed. We had the car towed. The next morning we were told that it was just the battery. We were offered a Ford battery or an Auto Nation battery. We chose the Auto Nation battery and thought that would be that. Later on that day we got another call to tell us it was actually the alternator and when the alternator failed it burnt out the battery and it will cost $800.00 to fix. After authorizing that work a 3rd phone call is received. The mechanic says, our mistake it's just an alternator belt and a battery and will now cost approximately $288.00. Oh great that's better until it's not. We get a call Saturday afternoon, 12/19 the car is fixed and ready for pick up. My husband and go to pick it up on Sunday like we told them we would. No one bothered to let us know service was closed on Sunday's. The sales department helped us, found the ticket and key. As he pulled the vehicle around he said he would not drive it. To our surprise there was no steering! There was nothing wrong with the steering the night we brought it in. The electrical should have nothing to do with the steering. No one told us there were any additional problems. So we leave it. We tell them to have a manager call us in the morning. I get a call from Dave at 9:30am and I tell him about the run around I got. He says he will look into this and get back to me. Instead of calling me he calls my son I law. Once I finally talk to Dave's boss who says he will get back to me (and doesn't) Dave calls me to tell me we need a motor for the power steering and it will cost $2400.00. I told him there wasn't a steering issue when we brought the car in. He says it must be a coincidence that the motor failed the morning of pick up when driven from the spot it was parked to the front of the store. Tell me how the mechanic pulled the car out to a spot told us the car is fixed and the next morning there is no steering. Coincidence, I think not!!!! This damage occurred while in their possession. They were unapologetic after having our car for 4 days. If you can believe it this is the short version of events as there was so much back and forth. Went to look at a truck tonight. They first wanted to start with evaluating my trade in. Ok fine. I have a 2017 Ram 1500.. The truck is basically brand new. Not a scratch, stain, dent or nick anywhere in the whole truck. They valued it in the FAIR bracket on KBB. My truck is in excellent condition and told them i would consider a valuatuon in GOOD but deffinitely not fair. Please consider this factual account of my encounter with this dealership prior to purchasing from them. I believe it displays an incredible lack of ethics and cause to wonder what other immoral tactics might be part of their business practices. I live 3 hrs away from Bradenton on the East Coast. I was stunned at the offering of a "Kawasaki Green" Maserati and immediately called and Facetimed with a new employee (Patricia Dangler) who knew little about cars and the sales process. I explained the connection between this specific vehicle and the death of my nephew who was like my son who died while riding a matching Ninja motorcycle. I expressed my strong desire to work out a fair trade-in deal with my vehicle, text her pictures, Facetimed to take a closer look at the Maserati and followed up with a very personal email including an image of my nephew on his bike next to an image of the Maserati. As this was Sunday nearing closing, I was promised a follow up call the next day to discuss details of the purchased which never happened. I called Tuesday and spoke to a sales manager (Antoine Jackson) who said someone had taken a deposit on the vehicle Monday, they were doing a brake job on it and they were supposed to take delivery Saturday. Although I was dejected and frustrated at the lack of follow up by the salesperson they were new and I could have been more proactive so I simply asked Antoine to let me know immediately if that deal fell through. He confirmed via text that if delivery of the car was not taken on Saturday "it's yours". Saturday morning I received an exhilarating call that the car was available. The bright spot in the story (before it gets incredibly dark) was Antoine who was on family vacation yet texting me throughout the day to working out details of the purchase. Antoine let his manager know I was driving across the state with the intention of finalizing the deal and would be there between 3:15-3:45. Antoine text when I was just 20 minutes away and I confirmed my eta as close to 3:30. I did not see the car when arrived and walked into the showroom. This was the greeting I received from Patricia Dangler... "Hi Mr Tanner. I'm sorry but the car is sold". I literally waited to hear the punchline of her joke but she was serious and I absolutely lost it. "What the hell are you talking about? I made an appointment and spent three hours driving across the state to buy this car!" I was yelling at this point "You've got to be f*$!ing kidding me!" A balding stocky older man who appeared to be the overall sales manager and the one responsible came rushing up to me and kept yelling over me, "First cash in hand gets the deal, First cash in hand gets the deal"! I could not believe what I was experiencing. An ethical manager would have informed a potential buyer that there was a person driving across the state with an existing appointment to purchase the car. An ethical manager would have had the common decency to call or text to inform me there was another potential buyer. An ethical manager may have requested a deposit from me via credit card or bank draft to verify my intent to purchase. I would go so far as to say an ethical manager might have even requested that I stop and Facetime to purchase the vehicle outright. But I was not dealing with such a person. Instead, those involved including the highest manager intentionally blew me off and wasted an enormous amount of my time. But far beyond this was the gut wrenching dejection that followed. I had driven there with the eager anticipation of driving home in the one car bearing the memory of my departed nephew. I left there broken hearted and facing a gut wrenching three hour drive home in stunned silence. All of this for the sake of posting one sale on the board? Is the management of AutoNation of Bradenton truly this calloused? Is there any degree of humanity involved or do they willingly sacrifice clients at the altar of the almighty dollar? And beyond the lack of human decency do they even consider the long-term cost of losing FOR LIFE the offended client, that client's family members, his friends and all of the individuals who hear about this despicable behavior on a review or on social media? I believe that my experience highlights a severe lack of moral fiber and human decency by the uppermost management of this dealership. Left unchecked this destructive force typically spreads like cancer to employees and salespeople and ultimately becomes the demise of many otherwise successful businesses. My hope is not the downfall of a company, but the removal of any such destructive forces so as to prevent further damage.
