Our experience at this dealership was completely overshadowed by the unprofessional behavior of Eddie, who I believe was the sales manager. His conduct toward us as customers was unacceptable and far below the standard anyone should expect from a business. Rather than handling the situation professionally, Eddie engaged in an abusive verbal altercation. No customer should ever be spoken to or treated in that manner. Any dealership that allows an employee--especially someone in a leadership position--to behave this way is failing its customers and damaging its own reputation. The only saving grace of our experience was Raheem and Chris. They treated us with professionalism, respect, and courtesy, and they were the only reason our visit wasn't an absolute disaster. Management should take this incident very seriously. Employees who verbally abuse customers have no place in customer-facing roles. Based on our experience, Eddie should not be allowed to interact with customers until significant corrective action is taken. Called Auto Nation Ford in Katy Texas about a 2025 F-250 they had advertised in their website as having an MSRP of 106k but they were giving an "AutoNation discount" of 10885 to get the price to 94. Part of the listed equipment on the FORD FACTORY WINDOW STICKER of the truck was a warn winch valued at 4200.00. The pictures didn't show the winch so I called to get information about it. At first nobody seemed to know anything about the missing part on this new vehicle. Once I pressed them and after numerous calls I talked to a ride manager with the last name of Aaron, he advised me that they didn't put the winch on the truck as directed by Ford and that this was Katy of the discount. Nowhere on any of their ads does it disclose that they have removed a significant and expensive accessory. From my research this is illegal but according to Mr. Aaron this is a normal course of business for AutoNation Ford of Katy Texas. It's fraud and false advertising. If I could give a zero rating I would. These people are scammers. I've had two horrible experiences with this company as a whole but I'm only writing about this location for now. This Katy location essentially sells cars with transmission issues, tries to force a warranty down your throat (an extra $5k) and doesn't correct the problems that come up even for a so called autonation guaranteed car. We purchased a gmc Yukon xl for $33k. Car drove fine for the test but the next day I noticed lagging, jerking and hesitation. I return the car and tell them this car is malfunctioning and it needs to be fixed. Keep in mind they tried for at least an hour to make my husband buy a warranty and gap insurance. These people were over dramatic, loud and clearly trying to "sell" you. My husband said no. After returning this "autonation guaranteed" vehicle they informed us they would not be fixing the car and it had transmission problems. I then asked if we purchased the warranty would it be covered. What a horrible experence. My spouse and I purchased a 2022 F350 with the extended premium coverage plan for 3 years and 175,000 miles in April of 2025. By July of 2025 the vehicle stopped running twice. No dealer can sevice it, under warranty, because they claim that I did not purchase the extended warranty. Well the sales person that we got stuck with told us that we could not look at any more cars after looking at 4 of them because his manger told him that we should know what we want and we don't need to see any more vehicles and we should just pick one we already seen! I mean really wth!!! If I am going to spend a substantial amount of money on anything, than I want to make sure that it is something I want and something I am going to be happy with. Highly unprofessional. Also, when a sales person tries to tell you that they can't do this and they can't do that when you know that it's a lie, it really leaves a bad impression. Another thing that really upset us was that they took my trade to appraise it and did not tell me what they were giving me for it until I was ready to sign a credit application. They kept my vehicle key and were literally holding me hostage. Cause I was ready to leave after the salesman stated what his manger told him. I understand not wanting to show a lot of cars but we were only wanting to see 4 cars in total. Don't get into this line of work if you know you have to be outside showing vehicles off or have to help customers. Your not the only one outside, we were too! Also, customer service is key when trying to retain your business. We were never even offered water as well and they didn't even have a soda vending machine. Sad that most of the vehicles that we looked out had problems ranging from engine lights on, cracked windshields, AC not cooling and body damage. After purchasing my Toyota Highlander 2016 less than two months ago, I need to update my review. While my first review was focused on the seller/management service, this one is about the actual condition of my vehicle. On Saturday, February 15, I took my car in for an oil change. Unfortunately, they discovered that both my engine torque strut mount and lower control arm bushing were in very poor condition and need an urgent replacement. The repair estimate is around $2,200. This was quite a surprise, especially since AutoNation USA Katy claims on their website that they perform a 125-point inspection on pre-owned vehicles. I'm starting to doubt the accuracy of this claim. A first red flag for me was the Carfax report, which showed that AutoNation performed an oil change and windshield replacement just 2 week before I bought the car. Yet, the windshield was cracked. They replaced it 5 days after I bought it. also, they never did the oil change and the light for the oil change was on 4 weeks and 400 miles after I bought it. This raised further concerns about the thoroughness of their inspections. I'm not outright advising against purchasing from AutoNation USA Katy, but I'm sharing my personal experience to help others. You might want to explore similar vehicles at other dealerships, where you might find a better condition car within the same price range. I hope you have better luck than I did. read more

My experience at this dealership was just a waste of time. I'm in the market of purchasing a new car and I saw a vehicle advertised from this lot that was to my liking. One of the salesman reached out to me after my online inquiry telling me that he was able to work with me. I submitted all of the information for a credit check, and I told the salesman that I knew that I was a little credit challenged and what the parameters of a deal would be for me. I also told him that I was going to be out of town and so to let me know if he had a bank that was willing to work with me and I'll be more than happy to come and do the deal. He assured me that getting the financing done would not be an issue and that he was going to work on this for me. We connected again the next day, and he was insistent on me driving to Katy and visiting the lot. I explained to him again that I was out of town, and I did not want to waste a trip coming all the way back to Houston earlier than I had anticipated if he was unable to find a bank that was able to work with me. He stated that due to previous fraudulent activities, it was a requirement of the lot for the customers to be there in person. I've never heard of this before, but I obliged. At this point, he also told me that he was sure that he was able to get the deal done, except the car that I initially wanted was not available Because it didn't pass their inspection and he did not feel comfortable selling me that vehicle. They supposedly found another vehicle of the same make and model that was actually newer and he said that would be a better fit for me, and that I would be able to get the deal done with this one. I asked him was he sure because once again, I was about an hour and a half away from Houston, visiting with family and had no plans on returning into the next day. He told me that we could get it done and to please come to the lot. So I cut my trip short And drove back to Houston excitedly thinking about to get a new car. I get there only to find out that he hadn't even run my credit yet and the second vehicle which he had told me would be available to me was now no longer available. I asked him why was he so sure that everything would be able to be done and wasting my time when he hadn't even submitted my credit application? He then has me fill out ANOTHER credit app which I had already done the previous day and then tries to push a Volkswagen crossover vehicle on me with a down payment of $3000-$3500 and a monthly note of over $500. Are you kidding me? It was an attempt at a bait and switch as I'm very very familiar with the tactic because I used to sell cars. You just wanted to get a customer onto the lot and try and push something off on them in a vehicle that you're needing to get rid of because now you're losing money with it sitting on the lot. I wasted three hours of my day, ended a family trip early AND I still don't have a vehicle. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone. Find you a dealership whose Finance Dept has wonderful relationships with the banks who can get a deal done for you. This was a waste of time. read more

I purchased a vehicle on September 21, 2024. At the time of purchase, I was only allowed to test drive the vehicle within the parking lot, as it had not yet undergone inspection. Despite this limitation, I was assured that several necessary repairs would be completed, including: * Replacement of the cracked windshield. * Tinting of the windows to resolve the bubbling tint issue. * Completion of the supposed inspection. I was assured the repairs would be finalized by Tuesday, September 24, 2024. When I picked up the vehicle on Thursday, September 26, 2024, the windshield had not been replaced, and after driving the vehicle from September 26th to October 30th, I noticed a persistent noise coming from the dashboard. Given that I was within the five-day/250-mile warranty period, I returned the vehicle on Monday, October 30th, 2024. The salesperson I worked with was very accommodating and assured me that all necessary repairs would be made, including the windshield replacement and dashboard noise. I picked up the vehicle on Friday, October 4, 2024, assuming the issues had been resolved. Unfortunately, while the windshield was replaced, the noise in the dashboard was still present when I drove the car off the lot. I made a U-turn and returned the vehicle. This is unacceptable and poor business practices. I've been lied to and inconvenienced for three weeks by this dealership, and I will return this vehicle and inform corporate for a resolution. My dad purchased a car here yesterday around 10 am, paid cash. The sales guy said they would have it ready the NEXT the morning...I don't know why it needed to "get ready". The NEXT DAY I drove my dad 150 miles to go pick up the car HE HAD ALREADY BOUGHT. We arrive at 10:30 am and it is "not ready". They gave my dad some other car to drive trying to upsell him. I bought a 2017 land rover discovery with low miles ( 65,598) ,under the impression that it was in good working condition. From water leaking in through driver window and windshield, to serious mechanical issues. I now discovered that the car has a Serious engine problem and requires a complete engine replacement $34,000‼ This has been a shocking and extremely frustrating experience, especially since I trusted AutoNation Katy to provide a reliable vehicle. I had no reason to expect such a major issue when I bought the car, and I find it unacceptable that a vehicle with a bad engine was sold to me in the first place. A car that requires such a costly and significant repair should never have left the lot without full disclosure of its condition. LOOKS LIKE LEMON CARS ARE BEING SOLD IN AUTONATION KATY! Bought vehicle Hyundai Volister at this dealership. Drove vehicle for week and a half then vehicle engine light came on, loud engine noise, car went into limp mode. Called dealer and they said bring in the vehicle. (I could not make it to a Hyundai dealership as car was struggling as it was and feared more damage). For almost four weeks the car has been at the dealer, no update from service in fact it sat in their lot and I have been given ever single blow off imanageable.....endless holds, manager ALWAYS in meetings, saleperson NEVER calls back. I have repeatedly called EVERY DAY multiple times a day. Status.....Service "I am sorry, we dont have your vehicle in our system for repair". It has been sitting in their lot. Manager makes me waste time every time he says expect call between 10:00-12:00 I sit by phone and have NEVER received callback, so I call back again, then told again DEFINATELY will call you back before 5:00 pm. I bought the big expensive warrranty and this dealer doesnt even have decency to call me back, put my car in service, give me an update OR repair it. I have been without a car for two weeks and this dealirship and its staff have done NOTHING. I been having to take uber on a car that is in dealership that I bought expensive warranty on, no one calls to tell me what it needs. They do a really bad job of patching up banged up used vehicles and getting them to just barely run. I was looking at a Ford Escape with an ok price and mileage. It had a few cosmetic issues that needed repair before fitting into that price point. A few dents, bad smell inside, front windshield had a bad ding and needed to be replaced, brake pads and a few other things needed to be done. Sales guy insisted it would all be done in one day. We go back to find one dent left, windshield still has not been replaced, and the inside still stinks. We walk off the lot. Sales guy apologizing profusely saying he had to leave because his wife had surgery and the service crew was too busy. One more day he begs. My girlfriend needs a new car pronto. I tell her not here, let's look elsewhere. Fine, we'll give them another day. I was going to look elsewhere, but got too busy with work. We go back the next day. Everything is fixed but the windshield. The ding has been filled with epoxy. I say F this place. We end up buying the car as we're running out of time. I figure another rock will crack the windshield and insurance will replace. Neither one of us are happy, but we end up buying it. It seems nice at first. The vehicle we were buying was supposed to be a RETIRED loaner however it had "accidentally" been loaned out again and had been rear ended. Omar asked if he was able to find us another vehicle with the same specs just in a different color, if we still wanted to go through with the deal. He found us another truck and said technically it was $3,000 more but since it was their mistake they would honor the price of the original truck. Fine, we agreed to move on. I let him know what time my husband was flying in so he could make our appointment. We were under the assumption that everything was ready, my husband just had to show up, for him to sign in person and I virtually, give them our down payment and we were done. This was not the case. When my husband arrived, there was another delay because the spare key could not be found and another had to be made. This is where it all went downhill. The finance guy is out sick and apparently they don't keep written or electronic records of deals made because he was the only one who know anything about the deal. I guess they trust their finance guys just to remember the details of every deal they have going, not stopping to consider what happens if they are unavailable for whatever reason. They tried to get us to agree to a much higher interest rate, then insist that I must physically be present to sign the title application. When I reminded them about not being able to travel due to my surgery, they refused to budge saying this was policy. I don't understand how neither the salesperson or finance person I spoke with SEVERAL times were unaware of this policy or were aware and chose to withhold information to secure the deal. As my husband had already traveled across the state, we decided to remove my name from the deal in order to complete the deal. The interest rate they gave us was slightly higher but not dramatic enough to make us back out. When we asked if anything could be deducted from the price, Omar then gave us a line about how they are #2 dealership in the state with the best prices and they are in line to become #1 or some such nonsense. We are extremely upset that in order for us to leave with the vehicle that my husband flew across the state to retrieve, we had no choice but to accept the higher interest and payment with only $200 off of the vehicle price (only once we complained more) for the way this whole deal was fumbled from the original truck being loaned and wrecked, lost keys, not allowing me to esign the necessary paperwork, and refusal to honor your deal. Dream Car turned Nightmare lemon.. I have owned Volvos for many years so when I walked in to the dealership I already knew I was there to buy another one. I looked at 2 XC90s and quickly decided on one. I knew some of the issues that these vehicles have had since the release and my salesman Jason and IC kept pushing the fact that it was certified and had been throughly inspected by Volvo service before being put on the lot. I looked over the carfax and it made me nervous this car has changed ownership a few times. IC kept saying "you have 5 days to have it inspected and if you dont love it you can being it back." I purchased this car on a Friday and took it to Southwest Automotive Group that specializes in Volvo. They have always maintained my vehicles and are very honest about what is wrong and the priority. Well there were multiple issues Air suspension leaks (1,400) fix, Sparkplugs and 90k maintenance had not been performed, one bushing was broken and one was cracked, electrical issues And verified that no Volvo certified service department had ran the codes or they would have seen the electrical issues. So I take this back to back to Auto-nation and Jason immediately starts saying that none the repairs are probably needed and he sees this all the time with mechanics just trying to make money. This is day 3 he says he has to email the quote to corporate. I ask if I can be copied on the email and he says no. I ask if I can be given any proof that I was there on day 3 and he said well I can email it and you can wait around or see if service can get to it. I ask can I drop off the car in the morning to let service look at it to expedite this. I do this on. Day 4. Pick it up later that day ask if I can have a copy of what they found and he said no it has to go to corporate so they can make a decision on if they want to fix it.... Basically wasting the 5 day money back guarantee for me and leaving me at the mercy of what they may or not repair. It takes Jason almost 3 weeks to give us an answer and they only agreed to repair the bushings. During this time that has passed the vehicle starts having electrical issues with the driver safety. A hard rain passes through and suddenly I notice there is water leaking in my car. This water gets into the large lcd sensus radio and shorts out the screen. I also notice water in the passenger floor board and back passenger cargo area.. Finally we get the call to bring it in for the bushings repair and I tell them about the water and that maybe it is what is causing the electrical issues. At this point my sunroof and sunroof screen motor's pretty much stopped working. Jason says oh we ran it through a car wash and there ia no leaks despite the video I have of water leaking in my car. I just pay to replace the screen because it controls nearly everything so I can't wait to see if they will do anything. So fast forward to this Christmas break. We take this vehicle on a trip to Branson. We are in 6 hours of rain and there is water dripping from the rearview mirror the rear cargo area and in the passenger foot area. It snows and we get a notification while going down a mountain that our suspension is having issues. Either of these things could have easily caused my family to be in a terrible accident. Allll of the issues on the original list from my mechanic have shown to be true plus more have appeared since because of the ongoing water leak issue. I love this car but it has become a nightmare. On top of everything the "certified" was put on the vehicle and promoted but not honored by Autonation. They lied and delayed long enough for it to not be their responsibility. This vehicle now needs 1400 air suspension repairs, 1000 electrical and minimum 3,000 to repair the sunroof drains and motors, 500 for spark plugs, and the list will keep growing until the leak is resolved. All of the driver safety features fail randomly which is probably due to the leaks. If they truly want to honor their money back guarantee they will do it retroactively to day 3 when I brought in reports of this. read more
