Well...let me tell you that my already low expectations were sadly met with an even lower experience. I purchased what was a mid-level wash at $100. That service was fine, it's the CRACKED WINDSHIELD that I take issue with and reason for the review. I came in and stayed on premises for the ~25mins it took to wash the car. I was called to pull out and made it about a mile away when I noticed a huge vertical crack about the length of a dollar bill on the driver side of the windshield. It only took me that long to notice it, and no, it wasn't there before. When I pulled over to inspect, I also saw another crack on the passenger side, horizontally. I also saw there were two nearly identically placed and sized and impact marks where these cracks derived. This wasn't two well timed rock chips. There were also small glass pieces still in the impact areas. I immediately called the car wash and told them what I noticed. They told me to come down to inspect and speak to the manager. I went and showed the manager and asked to review the footage of me entering (we both agreed we couldn't see a visible crack). I told him this looked like an equipment issue due to the placement of the impact areas but conveniently there are no cameras in the exterior washing machine area. Additionally the camera that shows exiting the tunnel was a terrible angle and also weren't able to see much. We could only watch the detailing work from the rear bc again...the one camera that would have had the best angle was conveniently not working and was "damaged". At this point it was clear the manager wanted to be of no help nor accountability so I filed a claim with him and was told that "someone from corporate" would be reaching out. The manager was pretty dry about the situation and I didn't ask but I was disappointed I left there with only a copy of a one sentence report/claim and no contact information, no offer for a refund, nothing. I was told I'd hear from someone by Monday "since it was mid-day Friday" and it's now over a week later and I've heard squat. As I said, the wash was fine and the one other time I've gone there I found bug guts, bird poop & half amoral'd sections still on my car. Nothing that was worth making a stink over but just not impressive for $100. Shame on me for returning out of desperation and time constraints...boy did I pay the price. I caution future customers that may go and have an issue that it's handled well. I'm now in search of a good mobile detailing service if you know of any. read more

I have been a monthly pass holder at Autopia for the last year and a half, paying $60 monthly for there services. Well the last time I was there they damaged my car and did not tell me. As a loyal customer I expected more from them but alas I learned the hard way. As soon as I got home I saw the dent and instead of going back I let my husband go back in the morning. He went in and spoke to the manager on duty who knew me and remembers me coming in the day before, he even tells my husband he helped me ! He was so honest and forth coming, he furnished us with all the photos of before and after.... He agreed with my husband that my car was damaged while in the car wash.... There was an oversized truck behind my car that must have rolled into it . My husband left there optimistic that our car would be fixed and they would pay for it. Well the next day the owner called my husband and told him to basically kick rocks.... That we could not prove anything and good luck with our claim! We filed with our insurance and filed a police report as well. I paid my $500 deductible and my car was repaired. They did $3700 dollars worth of damage, the entire lift gate had to be replaced! If this is how they treat loyal pass holding customers ? Benicia beware !!!!!!! read more

Still trying to figure out what the employees are doing in my car for that long if they're not cleaning it. Talking maybe. The car wash department needs a supervisor, one that actually wants to be there & checks the cars before the customer gets in. $50 for a wash inside and out & it's barely vacuumed. Can't believe I haven't tried this place out yet until now. I guess I was loyal to my old car wash place in Pleasant Hill, but man that one has gone downhill over the years. I decided it was silly to keep driving over the bridge for a wash, and saw this one had decent reviews (plus it's right here in town!). Finally gave it a go today and am very happy with the results. The people were efficient, and even though I selected the cheapest package, I felt like they really put in the extra work to make my car shine. I wouldn't say it was absolutely spotless, but then again my car was filthy when I took it in and it was sparkling afterwards... very reasonable price to get my car in great shape on this hot summer day. Really my only possible complaint was I had a couple of screws and a guitar pick in my cup holder that I actually still wanted, and I think they must have threw it all away as trash. I won't ding them for that though, as I really should remove everything from the car myself before handing it over if I don't want it tossed. read more

Well this is a first...This is my first "first"! This really has been a long time coming for Benicia. Sure we've had basic car washes in town but nothing ever like this. So to me Autopia is a huge welcome to the community. My go to was 7 Flags in Vallejo but I'm really happy that I only have to drive up the street to get to my cars washed. The only complaint I had with my initial experience was when I first pulled up to the car wash. The person wasn't rude or anything but when he took my order he seemed like he was just going through the motions. Which normally I don't mind because I've been in that boat myself at that age many of times. I think I'm just used to a certain personality of the front person at the car wash. In Vallejo the people who greet me usually have a smile beaming with positivity. But i've noticed this kind of person at other car washes in American Canyon and Concord too. They usually are decently knowledgeable about all the services the car wash offers. If Im stumped between what I might want to get done for my vehicle, this person will recommended services that they feel would best suit my situation. When you think about it these kind of people are extremely valuable because they are the kind of people that are going to help you sell the bigger packages that won't always get chosen by customers. They are the kind of person that will get the most money out of each of your customers. Trust me, I have lots of money to give for tasks such as these that I don't to do myself...Alas, when I mentioned it was my first time the guy just gave me the brochure menu and I kind of just had to figure it out myself. But...and this is a big one because I know people might be quick to just see one bad thing and quickly dismiss a business. I honestly think this place has a lot of potential. I ended up getting the Ultimate Wash and I was very impressed with the result. After you choose an option you let the representative take your car through the wash and then the workers on the other side do the finishing touches based on your package. Afterwards you go inside the actual gas station to pay. With only one truck ahead of me, the people were done within 20 mins or so. They check your receipt slip and then you get your auto back. Pretty painless. When I got home I took some pictures of some of the areas they advertise that they focus on. Keep in mind that my car was dusty...EXTREMELY dusty. I hadn't washed/cleaned it since the New Year began. Even more dust and cobwebs were starting to form on the dash as well. But if you look in the pictures, everything was done very well. Easily to say I will be coming back to was our other two cars but I wanted to at least get the word out to my fellow Benicians. Prices for their basic services are pretty much in line with other car washes in the area. Aside from the first person I encountered, everyone else was extremely friendly. And again, my criticism is only because I want this place to succeed. For some reason I just keep imagining the future where this place always has a line of cars. I'm really excited to see what other new things or businesses that will be coming to our awesome town in 2022(Java Point...I'm looking at you...). But in the meantime this is an amazing boon and I can't wait to not have to go out of town anymore just to get a good car wash! read more

I took my SUV in for a wash. It was pretty dirty and badly needed vacuuming. I was worried about the time that it would take to wait. Much to my surprise, the process was very efficient and the workers were seeking very hard. They made my car seem like it was new in only about 25 minutes. I would recommend. read more

My wife brought our brand new Tacoma here to get an interior/exterior wash. There were several mistakes made on there part. First Mistake - Most importantly! They Lost my wife's set of Keys! She called me and was crying and that alone made me have to leave work early to rush over there and bring her my set of keys for the Truck! Not only did they lose the truck keys, they lost her work keys, and they were very unapologetic about this. When I arrived there was about 10 employees standing there laughing at my wife! There focus shifted when I looked at them and questioned them about what happened. They became defiantly rude and disrespectful, taking no accountability! Second mistake - No refund issued! Third mistake - They Scratched the paint on our passenger side. Fourth Mistake - did not complete the interior detail, the dashboard was not wiped down and there was still dust on the console. Had my car washed on Thursday around 9:30am. It was pretty busy for a weekday morning but they were quick to service and assist me with the checking in for the first time. Process: Drive up to the entrance. The check in person inputs your car info after you tell them which service you want and gives you a receipt to pay inside of the shop. You leave your keys with them and they take your car to wash and clean. I got the ultimate wash for 39.95. Overall I thought it was a decent price for everything that was included. My car in the inside was pretty dirty, so it was nice to have it wiped down and vacuumed. I did notice that the outside of the car wasn't as clean in some areas, especially the front where I've had bugs smack into my car from long drives - it was still there and not completely clean. The entire service took about 30 minutes and they have benches outside the convenience shop for you to sit on. read more

Don't let them wash your inside windows. 3 times now they use blue rags smearing all inside of windows with something and when you drive in sun you can't see out off your window. I always have to clean my windows afterwards so what's the point of paying for it. They actually make it worse after cleaning. Also they do not secure the floor mats after removing or vacuuming. They are secured for the purpose that they do not slide under pedals and cause problems with operating the vehicle. They sometimes do a great job out side but most of the time they leave parts of your trim on vehicle untreated when ever you pay for the treatment package. You can clearly see that they did apply something, and some spots over application and didn't remove the extra. They generally just do a poor job. read more

Update: Jesus called me and he found my key. It wasn't as timely as I would have liked but it's found and he's offered me a monthly credit that is acceptable to me. I appreciate the location and convenience and that they drive my car through the wash while I get some work done. I pay for the Mon-Thur monthly membership and try to go once every other week. ----- It's been 24 hours since they misplaced my keyfob. I was stranded at the location with no updates for an hour. They have not called me once to give me an update. They would not apologize for losing my key or even show empathy. The manager has no idea how to manage a business and there is no protocol for when this type of thing happens. He offered to pay for an uber for me and that's the only consolation I received. These keys cost about $350 when lost. read more

My wife and I have been subscribed to this car wash since we bought our vehicle in 2023. It was really nice being able to stop by every couple of weeks for just over $50.00/Month, however, our experiences kept becoming worse as time went on. We would show up on a Friday, no Holiday weekend, and the carwash side would remain closed, or the workers would just pack it in early for the day. Not only the inconsistencies with schedule, but the service is not there. The last couple of times I have needed to touch up multiple spots they had missed, and refused to go back over. It feels disrespectful, that I'm paying for a service that used to have use, and no longer does. I'm not sure why the workers come up with excuses on why they cannot get my car properly cleaned, and continuously rush me out of the door and "shrug my problems off". I've used this service a handful of times for a deeper interior/exterior clean. Today's tab was $120 and they completely neglected the trunk of my SUV (which needed vacuuming and cleaning). I spent an extra 30 minutes of my own time to wipe down the inside because multiple areas had been missed or cleaned haphazardly. When it first opened I would say they did very good. Now very bad. I spent 50+ and had to pay extra for mats, dirt on the back of druck, dash not clean, dirt in the front seat. Car came out with a large scrape on the plastic above my wheel hub that I didn't see until I got home. I was able to buff it out with elbow grease but goddam. It definitely wasn't there when I brought it in because I have a BRAND NEW car. They also used a wax that was difficult to get off my windshield. Never again. read more

Reasonably priced, Good workers. I work during the week so I can't make it before 4:30pm when they close car wash service. Also, I have a new car, Leather interior,my second visit, puddles where you check in, the guy who drives your car in the wash is stepping on the wet ground and I noticed his back of his sweat pants were wet and hes going to get inside my clean, brand new leather seats and carpeted area??????? My point is Autopia doesn't use wax paper floor mats nor plastic or paper seat protection when servicing vehicle. They should let the customer drive and get guided by the employees into the wash. Took my car in for the "works" service $35 with 3coats of wax. I go to get my car and see bird poop spots still on the car in places so I mention it thinking they'll just come over and wipe it off. The I spoke to go to some guiy who comes over and tries to tell me it is tree sap, and he's been doing this for years. I'm almost 70 and have washed cars for 3 times the years he has been alive. I don't like bullshiters and that is why they won't get my business again. read more
