Hao, and company diagnosed the problems and provided an estimate which equals about three car payments on a new vehicle but a lot cheaper than a dealer would charge. We swallowed hard but decided to move forward with the repair and they completed the work quickly and efficiently. Their positive friendly aporoach to everything was really refreshing! When I went to pick it up, they asked me to come out in the shop to show me the parts that failed and were replaced. They tried to scam me…read more I went in for an oil change like I've done before here. Then Kwik Kar did other basic car checks like testing my battery. They told me my battery was at 12% and would die soon. They tried to scam me to get $200 out of me for a new battery that I didn't need. I know because the battery was less than a year old. Worried though, I went to check it at an auto store. They told me my car battery was fine and at 100%. Now I can never trust them again if they lie about a simple battery. It's extremely upsetting. It got me stressed and wasted my time getting it checked out someplace else. Unfortunately, the auto store said they seen this a lot. About a week ago, I called and spoke with a woman who quoted me $140 for front brake replacement, or $65 labor if I brought my own brake pads. I arrived today with the amount I had been quoted and expected my vehicle to at least be inspected before discussing any additional repairs. Instead, before anyone even looked at my car, an employee came to my window and immediately told me it would be $340. I explained that I was concerned because that was much higher than the quote I had received and asked if someone could inspect the vehicle first since I mentioned I might also need rotors. Rather than listening or explaining the difference, he became dismissive, said "Bye, friend," and walked away. I waited another 10 minutes before going inside to ask if someone could simply look at my vehicle. I was told, "I'm busy," while I watched other customers be helped. After waiting even longer, I asked to speak with the manager, who I later learned was the owner. Instead of hearing my concerns, he immediately defended his employee, told me I had already upset him, and refused me service without even asking what had happened. I wasn't upset about paying for necessary repairs--I simply wanted my vehicle inspected first and an explanation for why the quoted price had changed so drastically. The lack of communication, professionalism, and respect was extremely disappointing, especially after being a loyal customer for years. Unfortunately, after today's experience, I won't be returning.
