A gentleman saw me pull in and when I arrived they had a truck blocking the way off loading tires. But the guy that saw me walk all the way to my car and right away he greeted me. That was the best part! For someone to greet you and notice you struggling to drive in and right away guide you to pull in to service your car right away was the best experience I've encountered. He even helped me carry my car seat inside their waiting lobby while my son was sleeping. The best part they have a ton of inventory of used and new tires which I struggle to find in this area for my Acura TLX 2016 model. I highly recommend this place and they have certainly earned my business. I will be coming back. Not to mention you get to see them work on your car while you wait inside their lobby, and the guy that helped me today gave me lollipops for my little boy and he told me how long the wait would be to get tires added on my car! Found this place on Yelp, right by UTA. I had a leak in my tire and decided to swing by before class. I pulled in and as soon as I got there a guy come up to me and asked what I needed. Immediately lifted my car and took the tire off. I had a nail so he patched it and only charged me $5!!!!! I was back on the road in less than 10 minutes! Awesome place! just now NEW Let me begin by saying before this experience I brought my car here for repair or tire needs for the past 5+ years. About 2 weeks ago I had an alternator replaced on my car. When I picked it up, the car wouldn't start. After about 5 minutes of seeing them under the hood it started. Then I get in my car and the air conditioner is blowing out hot air. I ask the large Hispanic guy that claimed to be the manager what happened because my air was working when I dropped it off. He then says to me well that my ac hose had a hole in it and the mechanic took a picture. I asked for the owner but no one wanted to give the information. Fast forward to me taking my car to pep boys where they gave me a diagnosis of a bad air compressor. Come to find out the alternator they put on only had 2 screws attached. On top of that the screw were 1/2 the size they needed to be. At any time that alternator could have fell off. I have photos of all the damage and plan to sue this shop. The air compressor was damaged because whoever took the old alternator off cut an incision in the ac hose which caused the air compressor to stop working. I will have pep boys to attest the damage and lack of responsibility this shop had. I have a little girl and anything could have happened to us while we were driving. I will be filing a complaint with BBB as well as a suit with small claims court for damages done to my car. read more

Let me tell you these guys have been helping me out since I moved to Texas. Their work ethic is unmatched even by some of the Pep Boys, Discount Tire, NTB IMO. We were driving down 635 when we felt our Genesis Coupe hopping on the right passenger side. Drove to Discount Tires in Bedford on Hardwood, one of the employees promptly came up to our car and pointed out that we had a bend wheel. Geez just what we needed right? I got a quote from him 1 used wheel $300 and brand new $600 out the door. Had to think about it and do some research, I let my husband know and he called Latino Tire Shop as they've done work for us in the past. He was quoted $120 to fix the wheel by the owner. My husband took my wheel off and noticed a huge bump on the tire then drove off to Latino Tire. As soon as he pulled up one of their employees walked up to my husband and asked how he could help, he asked him to check out the wheel for him. The wheel itself was in perfect shape, the tire had developed that bump due to high & low temperature according to the Latino Tire employee. $50 for a used tire and $120 for a new one, no up sale or other bs, got me a new tire and had the owner give a second inspection of my wheel which he said "nothing wrong with your wheel sir." I just want to say thank you so much for not taking taking advantage of people who are looking for an honest, up front tire shop to get exactly what you need. Their prices are great. That's it. I needed new tires and got them for $70, however, they busted my brake line. I lost my brakes as I drove away. I could have died. Now they're refusing to take responsibility. When I called them about it (I was a couple miles down the road by then) they said that "brakes are under the hood, not by the tires, so it couldn't have been us." That was the most bold-faced lie I've ever heard. My brake lines were leaking under the tires. I had to leave my car in a parking lot overnight so I could get it towed today. When I called them about it just now, calling them out on their lie, they just said "okay." They're not concerned. I'm female so they don't care. Take your money elsewhere. read more

Not pleased with the deception I received at this place. In the past I have taken my car there to get a quick tire patch and no problems. Last Saturday I took the car in because I had a slow leak. There were quite a few employees around. One approached and asked what I needed. I explained the slow leak, he asked that I go inside to take a seat. Before I could get in the door I turned back and noticed that he had it on the lift instead of on a jack. I shrugged it off, but our eyes met. Quickly he jumped out of the car and informed me "That my wheels were about to fly off." I asked him to show me. He stuttered and had me look under the car. Before I could inquire he said "You need both tie rods, shocks, struts, mounts, 4 brand new tires." He also stated "Your suspension is shot and you absolutely cannot drive on the highway. Come inside and I'll give you a great deal." He scribbled on the paper and said "This work will run about $1,300 but lemme tell you what. Your car is in bad shape due to this and I want to help you out so I will do it for $1,000. How do you want to pay?" I said I don't and told him I wasnt interested and to just patch the tire. They patched the tire, warned me a couple of more times about my "deathtrap" and said "See you soon!" I toom my car to Midas and they said the tie rods are fine, the tires are good until winter and that I just needed struts, mounts and wiper blades. In fact, he didn't know my story about Latino's Tire Shop but I said "So the tie rods, shocks and tires are okay?" he said "Yes, your suspension is actually really solid for the age of the car and the condition of Cooper Street until recently." After Latino's Tire Shop tried to take me for $800 I think I will just steer clear and ride my well maintained "deathtrap" off into the sunset. read more

My favorite ghetto tire shop! This place is right across from one of UTA's southside large parking lots. It doesn't look like much- from the looks it was probably an gas station when it was built. Bright blue and yellow- now with a car lift on the side. They have new and used tires- pretty cheap prices and the guys that speak broken english are the most trustworthy and straightforward. The Mexican guy that looks all California/cholo with his locs is full of it. He already knows not to approach me when I roll up. They do more than tires- in the past few years they started doing inspections, alignment, balancing and rotations. read more

I remember this place from my glory days at UTA. Nice "ghetto" tire shop right at the corner of Cooper and Mitchell, right in front of Centennial Court Apartments. During those days, I would come here whenever the family van would have a flat. Nowadays, I make my yearly trip here to get my state inspection (about $35) for my car. This is the only place that will give me a passing grade for my car... The staff members there are very direct, to the point, and get the job done right, the first time. That's how it should be. No BS, no haggling. The only real "complaint" I have with this shop is the very poor condition of the entrances/exits. My car is a little lowered, and every time I get in/get out, I always cringe at hearing my front spoiler scratch the cement. Still, this is a great place that gets you service at the right price. Definitely recommend this one, especially if you live near UTA and/or the Arlington area. read more

Went to get an alignment and a tire rod replaced. Had to go back because my truck was still pulling. Had the same problem when I left after the second "alignment". Finally took my truck to Christian Brothers and guess what?! It was the alignment!!! It was never done! Save your time and money. Take it to a shop you can trust. read more

I will NEVER go back to this place or send customers their way again. I went here on Saturday to get 2 used tires (just a temp fix as the holidays approach). I knew my front left had a leak as I would air it up to 40 PSI and it would go back to 20 PSI within 2-3 hours. Also, one of the back tires was a bit worn down and had cords showing. He stated "Okay. I will put the back right tire on the front left and the 2 replacements on the back. There's a 30-day return policy so feel free to bring them back if there is an issue with them". Great, right?!?! I left with the wrong feeling of happiness... I drove to church to help my mother with decorating and 2 hours later, the left tire was still leaking and back at 20 PSI. With newer Chevy models, the sensors don't automatically udpate. (I have a 2016) **This is important to my experience.** I went back on Sunday and made Jose (or whichever the Hispanic guy was with greenish colored eyes) aware of this issue, as he was who I had spoken with the day before. Sunday to inform him that the right was never put on the front as my sensor is still reading correctly. He kept saying "I swear. We did." He lifted my car and began to take the front left tire off. To further indicate that I know how my car works, I let him know that I just had a tire rotation 2 months prior and the only way to fix the sensors is by taking it to a dealer to have them reset them for the correct tire placement. He still continued to argue with me and stated that both tires they took off were bad. I went to another shop to get a tire as I knew I wouldn't get anywhere with him. He put my tire back on and dropped my car off of the jack. As I was going to my car, I noticed that he had dropped my car so hard, that it severely scraped my front left side and cracked the engine splash shield on the front left side. I called today and guess who answered the phone... The same guy I had dealt with. I didn't realize it was him so I began explaining everything from the guys disgusting attitude on Sunday to him not putting the tire on the right where it should have been. He then said "Ma'am, I didn't do anything to your car. I didn't drop it that hard." I politely stated "I do not want to speak with you. Can you please get me a manager or store owner and he continued to argue. I asked once more and he yelled "I am the f-ing store owner". I drove to the location and stated that they can have the 2 used tires back and put the bad ones back on. I'd rather invest my money into a mom and pop shop that will be a little more courteous towards their customers. Jose, again, I'm unsure if this is his name, gave me my 2 original tires back and told me that he would not honor their 30-day return policy. Luckily, the real manager, who was wearing a blue pinstriped shirt and khaki slacks, stepped in. He came to my car as I was getting in to leave and offered to refund me. We walked in and Jose told him that I could not have a refund. The manager asked "why not" in Spanish and Jose responded saying a few words plus "puta" in the middle. I said very nicely "You shouldn't call customers the b-word in Spanish" and he yelled "You don't even know Spanish! Shut up!" The manager walked me back to my car and gave me the money back for the 2 used tires, luckily. Now, the problem is that Jose has caused physical damage to my car that I have to pay for out of pocket because he was inconsiderate and doesn't know how tire sensors work on 2016 Chevy models. read more

I gave them the rating I did because I just now noticed that my rim is scratched, in a way that could have only been done by a tire changing tool. I plan on giving them a call tomorrow.
