I went into AutoZone to buy a headlight for my car. Everyone was busy behind the counter, or no one was around to help. So I walked around the aisle, and I saw an employee helping a customer. So I stood and waited while he was helping him, and then the customer says go ahead and help her, then the employee says no I'm helping you only. Wow I thought to myself the customer is nicer than the employee that's bad he's the guy that looks like Santa Claus. He has a long beard. He could at least said, and acknowledged me one moment, ma'am, and I'll be right with you. That would be nice. But nowadays you can't expect someone to be nice anymore. Hands-down best AutoZone I've ever been at the manager must run a tight ship like the military. Yet still having that family orientated energy in the building. The staff is very helpful and willing to answer any questions that you may have. If you find A piece of lint or cotton dust inside the store I would have to call VVN Bc there's no way. This place is so clean you can almost lick the floor. (Please do not lick the floor Bc it will get dirty . I asked the guy at the counter for a replacement light bulb for my vehicle. I thought I had the right description based on the owner's manual, but after the employee clarified what I meant and looked my vehicle up on his computer, he told me that the light I needed wasn't even listed in my owner's manual. Good thing he told me before I bought the wrong thing! He then offered to come change the light bulb for me, which was phenomenal. He came out a couple minutes after I'd bought it, looked at the burnt out bulb, went back in to get a wrench, and changed my light bulb in a minute. It was pretty simple, but I was glad he offered to do it for me so I wouldn't get pulled over on the way home. He was helpful and friendly, so 5 stars for customer service. As for the store itself, I found the selection to be pretty extensive. I've come here to buy oil in the past, and I've always been able to easily find what I needed--nothing has been out of stock when I've come. There is almost never a line, and the employees seem to know what they're doing, so my visits here have always been quick and simple. read more

Arthur was very rude! I bought a tow hitch one day (not on this day) and returned it (also on another day) and was given a receipt with the amount that was returned and was told I could use it as store credit. On this day, I brought my receipt with me and picked out something to spend it on. When I waited in line, they were counting out a drawer and this guy (Arthur) calls through the store asking if I am paying with cash or a card. I explain that I have store credit on a receipt for a return. He then says they have to give you a gift card. I said that I was not given one and asked if he could type any of the numbers found on the receipt in (maybe, they were the gift card number). He said it has to be on a gift card. All of that is fine but then he grabs a gift card they have there and says, "This is what a gift card is." He then just stood there and said nothing. In case Arthur needs training, this is a response that I feel would have been nicer, "I am sorry but usually we put money on a gift card but let me get a phone number to call so this can be fixed for you." I am not sure why some employees at Auto-zone feel superior to others and have no social skills but it is really sad because I have seen this on prior occasions as well. The wheel was damaged on the centering hole, the caliper and brake pads were damaged, the backplate and a bit of the knuckle was damaged, and the now deformed back plate was rubbing in the outer tire rod. Yesterday I pull out of work and start driving to this Autozone. While driving I call ahead to make sure they have my parts. Henry answers my call, puts me on hold then gets back to me in a reasonable amount of time. I request my parts he checks them, gives me a price and verifies they are in stock. He says would you like me to put the parts on a hold for you. I say no, just pull them and have them ready I will be there i less than 5 minutes. He says ok and hangs up. I arrive at the store and walk in. I am immediately greeted by a female employee who is already engaged in helping one other customer there before me. Meanwhile Henry is standing at the far end of the counter chatting with another employee. They leave me standing there unacknowledged. I walk in their direction... nothing. I wander the front of the store... nothing. I approach the center of the front counter... nothing. Finally they stop conversing and the other employee goes down one of the isles to work on stock. Henry approaches the front registers and fiddles with the computer. Finally he looks up and acknowledges me. I say hi, and inform him I had just requested these parts on the phone. He turns away as I ask, did I talk with you on the phone? He says yes. He then proceeds to go pull the parts from the back room. I was in a hurry, and that is why I called ahead and requested they pull the parts. If he had no intention of pulling the parts ahead of time, why agree to do so on the phone? I couldn't make this up if I tried: Walked into Autozone - one guy behind counter. 1 guy talking to him, me - first in line, and 5 people behind me. A girl was behind the counter stocking inventory. about 10 minutes pass and NO ONE talks to us. A driver comes in - walks past us all. Goes behind a wall and talks to a (I assume) manager who has been back there this whole time NOT helping any of us. There are now 7 people in line. The driver disappears after having helped no one. The person he was talking to (assumed male manager) is still hiding and the ONE employee is still helping the same guy. Phone rings - girl comes DOWN from ladder - ANSWERS CALL! looks up information on computer - hangs up - walks back UP ladder and helps NO ONE! All i needed was a stinkin Blinker! While standing in the FRONT of line now 15 minutes later. (this is NOT a joke). I CALLED that store. The girl comes DOWN from the ladder - looks up my info and gets back to stocking. DOESN'T EVEN NOTICE I'm THE CALLER!!! I walked across the street to O'Rielly Auto Parts - 5 employees ALL at the counter helping customers. They had my bulb AND replaced it for me in about 7 minutes. all in all I was at autozone for 20 minutes. Because of this one stupid store - I'll never go to another Autozone again. read more

Four times now I have gone to this location, AFTER CALLING TO CONFIRM THE CORRECT PART!, and they sell me the wrong part, even after confirming again at the register! This is infuriating after driving across town, taking the truck apart to access said parts, and getting home to find the wrong part was sold to me! This is on two different occasions, 4 months apart! This location needs to start educating their sales reps on researching the correct part before selling parts, just to get a part out the door! I will not go back to Apple Valley Auto Zone! Been here many many times just never occurred to me to rate it or check in! Lol but this place is close by which makes it really convenient for me, but that's besides the point. They always have what I need when I do my vehicle repairs in house and knowledgable staff...only compliant is that they take a long time and there is almost always long lines. Now in fairness I don't know if this is due to being short staffed, people just always go here or a combination of both whatever the case is the fact remains the same. If your going to grab something off the shelf you should be in n out fairly quick but if your in need for a part be prepared to wait to get to the parts counter. I received the best customer service at this store. I called first and spoke to Christy about what was going on with my vehicle. She told me if I brought my vehicle in, they could test the battery, alternator and starter for me. She also told me if the battery died while I was there, they would make sure to give me a jump or do whatever was needed to make sure I wasn't stuck. I showed up and Christy immediately realized it was me who called and she quickly tested my battery. Bummer for me it was a bad battery and I had to buy a new one, but she helped me select the correct one and then Elijah installed it for me right there in the lot. They were life savers for me on the worst day ever for car issues and they couldn't have been more polite, helpful and quick! read more

Went to other auto zone in Hesperia and manager said they could look up receipt but she couldn't-- had to be the store purchased from. I might just let the bank take care of it. The staff there is clueless on anything automotive. I bought a battery at Auto Zone a while back and it died, so I took it in to be charged and they said it was dead, they wanted to sell me another one until they found it was under warranty and gave me another battery. A few months later same scenario. Now with third battery, it died too, go figure, so I took it back, they kept it overnight said it was dead, I said it was under warranty, they kept it trying to charge it for another 8 hours and still nothing. I went in and the girl said it is under warranty, do you want a new battery, I said yes since I paid to have a battery with the first one and get this, the girl said you can not get another one as this is your third one and that is all Auto Zone allows although it is under warranty. So Auto Zone sells crappy batteries, with a warranty that runs out after your third dead battery. Buyer beware, buy your auto parts elsewhere or check the fine print of the warranty, as it appears Auto Zone sells faulty parts with a pseudo warranty. read more
