The dude that helped me went above his duties, I came in for a new optima battery and unfortunately this location did not have 1, so he call the nearest store on francisquito (the guys at this store didn't seem they wanted to work, just by the manner of way that the phone was answered and in the allotted time the phone was answered, I would not shop there) The person helping me out apologized for the lack of service and proceeded to call another store (azuza ave & puente) The phone rang twice and it was answered promptly and with a courteous tone. You guys need to let go of this guy named Mortland. The first time I came in here for some tools I wanted to check out quick since there were so many people in line. Then he goes off about how us Asian people eat a lot of tofu and if I liked tofu and what not. I didn't really want to talk about tofu; I just want to get my tools and get out. I don't even care about the rewards systems anymore I just want to leave the store as fast as I can every time I get this guy. My next experience was more than awful. First I purchased a Kia Optima Yellow Top battery at 12/27/20. I didn't know the exact date but I knew it was under a year so I asked him to look up my account. He REALLY didn't want to look up anything and I had 2 vehicles listed; a 95 Del Sol and a 18 Subaru WRX. He WOULD NOT go to the Subaru until the 3rd try. It has a 36 month warranty. I told him if I had warranty and he said no cause it's passed the date. It's 12/8/21. Not even a year. Next he says how do you know the battery is dead? I said I have to jump it every time now and it just won't start the car. How often do you drive the car? I said once or twice a week. He says that's not good enough and they can't warranty it. Mortland had a VERY condescending and very soft voice like he was asleep. I could barely hear him try to explain to me why I didn't know why my battery was dead. First he said it could be that my car is old and the alternator is dead. He JUST looked up my vehicle and it said 2018 Subaru WRX. The car has 40k miles on it and was purchased brand new. It took my OEM Subaru junk battery 3 years to die and those cost only $100. I spent $300 on this one so I'd expect it to be a bit better and stronger than that. Next he said listen, I know more about batteries than you and anyone. I said uh huh, and how do you suppose that? I said listen, I deal with cars for a living with auto parts; I'm a wholesale distributor towards many aftermarket brands and companies. We deal with just more than brake pads, oils, and small components you have here. I work with electrical components all day. I can spot dead batteries. I test my alternator and it's getting 12+V to it. He couldn't explain any of that nor did it seem like he knew what I was talking about. He didn't know anything. Just cause I looked young doesn't mean I don't work or know anything. Next he said I have to speak to the manager about this. They said they would test the battery, then I'd have to bring my other car and test it ON the car. The hell? If your product is defective then warranty it! read more

Went in to get a refund for a faulty sensor. Based the fine print on my receipt, I can either get a replacement or refund if part fails which it did. First guy tried to help me told me I can only get a new replacement. Usually it won't be a problem, but I already put in a new part so I ask for a refund and was told no can't do when receipt says I can. He then pull the manager over (young guy with spike hair) and that's when the altitude began. Manager basically told me to f*** off and there Is nothing he can do for me. I asked him to read the receipt, but I guess he can't read. Took my part and left First guy was nice, but don't try to talk the manager unless you have to. When I went to take it back I went to the register and the guy said I was on the wrong side and need to get back in line to the other counter. They work very slow at least in my eyes. Sometimes there's only one cashier with a long line of about 5-7 people.

The people that work here all have jacked up attitudes. If you don't like your job get one else where. The woman working the register has an UGLY attitude when she handed me my receipt she just put it on the counter and walked away without a thank you. She's an 25ish looking girl with a tattoo on her right sleeve. I requested for an air filter and she gave me the wrong one luckily I noticed while I was still in the vicinity. My mother and I have come here for the last 6 years to replace our car batteries for each of our cars. I believe this was suppose to be my mom's second time replacing hers. Never again!! First, the guy who helped us, Morland, helped her 3 years ago and I guess he didn't add the purchase to her account with the warranty because they couldn't find it. Our battery was suppose to last 5 years but died. We had to get a jump to go to the store. No record of warranty, no credit given to us for a battery that didn't last 5 years. My battery shows in my account but not on hers. It's standard for them to add it to your account (via name or phone # but not hers) So we had to buy a new one, no prob, I didn't want to make a big deal out of it, I just wanted our battery replaced. but then he and the manager gave us an attitude because we asked for help installing it. (they had done it before and we even said we will wait since a line was forming). My mom was upset about the warranty and because she has what people call a "resting bitch face" and because her voice is a little sharp asking why they couldn't help, he became very disrespectful to her. (his man pride was bruised from a 5'1 older lady who doesn't speak fluent English). After asking the manager, Morland came to look at our car but he said he can't replace it since it's the kind of battery they don't have tools for (even though we have been here before and the old battery clearly is from AUTO ZONE that they replaced for us before). He went back in and after the initial shock I started to enter the store to return the new battery and just get our car to pep boys or something. But then he came out with the tools and gave me a look and asked me, "Well, am I replacing your battery or what?" So confusing. My mom asked, very nicely, if he can clean the battery residue on the connecting cables (something another employee had done to my car for free) and he said "no, it's your car, you should do it. Why should I?" She said okay and dropped it. And then he kept bringing it up like, "Lady, it's your car" as if he was insulted she even asked. and he kept telling her to just go inside and let him do the work. We said no! (I wasn't going to leave him alone with our car! He obviously either wanted to hide he didn't know what he was doing or was going to do a bad job). We didn't talk to him again until he finished so I don't know why he kept insisting for us to go inside. Don't recommend coming here!! Manager was no help either since he was just giving us dismissive looks and wasn't interested in helping us. Very different then our previous visits. DON'T COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE RESPECTED. read more

I hate writing negative reviews. But yesterday I want in and a worker named Jonathan said I'll be right with you. In fact he said get in line please. So after everyone was gone he was pretending to clean and walking around back and for. One of his female associates told him he had a customer. Instead of helping me out he picked up a call that came in and helped that person out. 30 minutes after the same lady tells him to speed things up. Instead of helping me out he screams at another guy in the back and says, come help THIS GUY OUT. The gentleman came and was very helpful.
