It pains me to write this, because I hate leaving negative reviews and also this forced me to download Yelp but I want to share my experience for others to know. DO NOT NOT BUY HEADLIGHT BULBS FROM AUTOZONE. I purchased the most expensive lights they had for my car and when I went to install them they didn't work. I brought them back 30 minutes later and the man working said he would give me new ones. He returned from the back and said he's not taking them back because I put my old bulbs in the box to return. I did not. He said they were H11C and the product I bought was H11S. So clearly these were returned with the wrong ones and now it looks like I'm the one trying to do it. I explained to him that this is not on me, they sold me it this way. Which is already wild in itself because he checked my bulbs, did they not check the bulbs that were returned before I bought these? The box I bought already was taped over some rips on the packaging but they were the last ones and I couldn't just drive around with no headlight so I thought and eh what's the worst that could happen if I have a problem I can bring them back- boy do I regret buying them. I explained that THEY tapped this, there were clear signs of tampering and he looked at the taped packaging looked back up at me and told me to come back and speak with a manager and I declined because I'm not pleading my case to someone else that isn't going to believe me. Let me be clear, I am NOT blaming this worker. I understand this is their job and I have been going here for over 10 years and they have always been overly friendly and super helpful. The worst part here is I went the route of contacting corporate to try to get a refund. I explained to them what happened and they said they will help me out and they were going to forward it to someone higher up and call me back. A week passed, nothing. I called again, they said someone should be getting back to me. It's been 3 weeks and nothing. Horrible customer service from the corporate end which surprised me. I'm just going to do a charge back on my card I guess. TLDR; DO NOT BUY HEADLIGHT BULBS FROM AUTOZONE THEY MIGHT BE RETURNED AND NOT WORK AND THEY WILL ASSUME IT'S YOU TRTING TO SCREW THEM. read more

Love these guys! Have a problem, go here! They even have a machine they hook up to your car's computer to diagnose problems. They will install a new battery or put new windshield wipers on for you. I stopped by this morning because after a snowstorm, I put my wipers on and one flew off. I couldn't get it back on so figured a pin broke. Swung by on my way to work and the gentlemen said it didn't look broken. Went out to my car and snapped it in, then tested them to be sure they worked fine which they did. I was late for work so thanked him profusely and took off. Realize now I should have tipped him. These guys are honest and extremely helpful! WTG Auto Zone, your staff is the best! read more

I had bought a new car battery in August of 2016. Forward to now, May 2017 and I've had to jump the car twice I. The last three days because the battery, while not completely dead, wasn't strong enough to start the car. I knew there was a warranty, but couldn't find my receipt. Being that I have one of those loyalty cards, I figured they could look it up at the store. So I called the store and explained what was going on and that I didn't have my receipt, but had one of their loyalty cards. The gentleman told me that was not a problem and to give him my phone number. He confirmed it was purchased last August and told me that I had a two year warranty and that they would replace it free of charge. So I drove over there (after jump starting the car) and they couldn't have been more accommodating. I explained that I had called earlier and was told to come in for a replacement battery. The older gentleman behind the counter took my phone number and says "Wow, last August. It's not even a year old!" He asked where the battery was and I pointed to where my car was parked. He grabbed a small toolbox and went outside, in the rain, and disconnected and removed the battery. We went back in, he got the new battery and went back out and he installed the new battery. We made sure everything was good and went back in the store. He did what he had to do on the computer and printed me out a new receipt and told me that not to worry if I lose it, as he can just look me up again if there is any problem. He told me I had a new two year warranty starting now and that I was good to go. I was in and out within 15 minutes and they couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. I just went to the AutoZone in Bohemia and the battery that I needed was not in stock I had to upgrade to a new battery I asked them for a discount saying that I am a government employee and working but not receiving a check they were very nice to me and give me a 20% discount I would definitely do business again thanks guys read more

MORON ALERT!@# I went to auto zone in bohemia on sunrise highway to have battery in key fab changed. BIG MISTAKE Will who said hes the manager changed the battery and then my key fab didn't work at all. I went back inside and Will told me there is nothing wrong with the battery it is the key fab. I called this particular Auto Zone to see if they had front rotors for my car. I gave them all the details, and the guy on the phone said they had them starting at $35/each. I asked him to set them aside. I arrived at the store 15 min later, explaining that i was the person who had called about the rotors. The young man behind the counter seemed anxiety-ridden for some reason, and I concluded he was the son of the older counterman, and was very probably mentally unstable. I asked for a set of brake pads and the guy at the counter brought them to the counter. He totaled me up, but didn't charge me for the rotors. i asked him about the rotors and his reply was "Oh, we don't have THOSE!" He called another Auto Zone on his cell, the call got dropped and he left the counter for the back for some reason. This all wasted about 15 minutes. I left. I've never written a review before, however, my experience at this establishment was so horrendous I felt compelled to share my story. About a week ago, my daughter's car battery died and I found myself in need of a new one, ASAP. After consulting the internet, I found an appropriate replacement at AutoZone, and though it was slightly more expensive than its competitors the store's proximity to my home and the urgency of the situation made it the ideal choice. The store itself, is nothing to speak about. It's a typical auto store, void of people save for the few lazy teens goofing off behind the counter. When I purchased the battery (I paid cash), I was charged a core charge that they explained was refundable once I brought the old battery back. Okay, no problem. Get home, change the battery, and load the old one into the car and head back to the store. Maybe an hour had passed. And now we get to the issue.. I entered the store, lugging the old battery, walk up to the counter and hand over my receipt, expecting a simple refund. Nope. Suddenly, the computer wasn't functioning properly and they can't complete the core charge refund. Mind you, I paid in cash, so the money was right there in the register. Are you kidding me? I asked to see the manager. "I'm sorry, sir, there's nothing we can do, the computer isn't allowing us to complete the refund." I was just there an hour ago, paid in cash, now after lugging this old battery back to the store, they're telling me they can't give me my $5 back because the computer isn't working properly? Are you serious? It's not about the money at this point. It's the principle. You just saw me. I PAID IN CASH. The money is in the register. Give me a break. "There's nothing we can do." I'm a paying customer, for crying out loud. Needless to say, I was pretty pissed off. Not only did they not give me my refund, but they were extremely rude and didn't seem to care about any semblance of customer appreciation. After making a bit of a stink, they give me the regional manager's number and you better believe I left a nice message on that guy's machine. So not only did I not get my money back, they didn't take the battery, and now I have to make another trip to this sorry excuse of a store because of computer issues that didn't concern me. Not a very good auto parts store. They never have the kind of oil I'm looking for-- they're always out. I would expect popular brands and types of oil should be like milk in a grocery store-- if you can't keep it consistently stocked, then you don't belong in this business. The staff generally has no knowledge about cars or auto parts. I would think they could find some teenagers that at least change their own oil. Probably would be my first question on an interview if I managed the store. Also, if you make it to the checkout, good luck finding an employee anywhere in the store. Very disappointing as the place has a convenient location. read more

I was very pleased with the help I got this morning. I am a 78 yr old senior and the salesman was very pleasant and changed two left lights in my car (brake & signal). He didn't complain about the cold and was very polite. I would go back there anytime. read more
