Absolute trash sold me two batteries saying that they would support my stereo when I hook them up and found out they would not call them and told them that they were wrong and they said that they don't do returns no refunds so I spent $1,000 on batteries and got ripped off by these people you can't click on me to be the best in car audio and can't even recommend batteries that are correct and then if you're wrong return policy or not if an employee is the one that tells you that it will then they should take them back if it doesn't don't buy from these people the owner is the one that makes those decisions and he didn't even call me back trash read more

Heads up... The reason why I am writing such a long review is because I see these other reviews from years ago, which I feel is unfair to this business as they are tanking the reviews and not a reflection of what I experienced. None of the negative experiences were noticed today and I am pleased with this shop as a whole. Came into the shop for a quick estimate for the installation of equipment I had brought in myself for my Tacoma. It was already way more affordable than what I was quoted elsewhere. We promptly scheduled an appointment for the very next day, first thing in the morning. For context, I had purchased a cheap no-name brand deck and a kicker hideaway subwoofer- hoping it would fit into the Taco. The day of installation, at the shop I was presented a deck that was substantially better in quality from a reputable brand. Additionally, it was made for my specific Tacoma. This means that everything from steering controls to the backup camera were retained, plus it fits way better with the interior. This deck was only $100 or so more than the deck I had brought to the shop originally. Better screen, operating system, and it looked far better than what I had brought in. Easily sold me on it, I couldn't pass the deal up. There wasn't any sales pressure or anything and I could have said no, but it made more sense to take the better option. Take my money. Next, the Kicker subwoofer didn't fit... I was disappointed because I've read that people made theirs fit, but they explained what options they tried to take for it to fit and it got to the point where there weren't any options left. As an alternative, they presented me with a custom-fit box+sub made for the Tacoma. The Tacoma is tricky because of how small and limited the interiors really are, so this was a win in my book... Plus, If I were in their shoes I would do the same. If someone brings in their own equipment, I wouldn't want to damage it by trying to make something happen that shouldn't. Since nothing was broken while trying to make it work, I was able to return it to Best Buy right after my install with no issue. If I'm paying for good equipment and a professional install, I don't mind forking out an extra $100 or $200 for quality. Also, when I was originally shopping around for a sub/amp/deck equipment+install, the prices were about $500 more than what I paid for here. They treated my truck with care and expertise, I'm extremely happy with the outcome and I'm glad I chose to use their equipment instead of the stuff I brought. Overall knowledgeable, efficient, and reliable people. I live about an hour away, so when they found out I'd be hanging out at the shop to wait for my truck to be finished, they asked if I needed a ride for food, water, coffee etc. That was cool of them to offer. Solid audio shop with competitive pricing and great results. Will be returning soon to have a remote start installed. read more

Sales associate ( Logan) knows his stuff and steered me toward the right speakers to replace my blown factory speaker. Not too expensive and they came close to estimated repair time. I don't mind so long as the job is done right the first time and they did. I'll be back to replace the other factory speakers. read more

I had them install a $2000 system in my motor home. Have to admit I was disappointed at first. Took over a month to get an appointment then I called 2 days prior to verify time and most important "parking" as this is a 45' tag Axel Bus. Upon arrival the spot discussed was filled up and the technician was no were to be found. (Stuck on the freeway). Then it was supposed to be a one day job that ended up being two, (because this technician showing up late?) With that all said; This shop is a bit more "relaxed" then I prefer BUT: Outstanding end results! I'm very picky and have spent a fortune on sound systems plus owned a business that used high end Equiptment. The fit and finish was very good and the sound quality exceeded my expectations! I completely recommend this shop! Need to be patient but you'll be happy with the result. read more

It is so rare that I give someone such a low rating. My son came here to have a new stereo system put in and had multiple issues. When he got it back they left off the bottom part of the steering wheel with wires exposed and the microphone was in a place where he would regularly bump it and in addition, the backup camera did not work. It took lots of extra time to get it back in again and they couldn't get him in right away. Very disappointing. read more

We spent thousands of dollars here got talked into a very expensive battery twice. Battery went dead within a year and it was documented multiple times from my system immediately put in here that it was having charging issues and defective and they refused to make right so we ate it and got another. The second has also swelled. It was proven our battery is not damaged due to my vehicle.. or any of our fault. They are saying it works so they will not acknowledge the warranty again. A simple Google shows that you should never use a swelled battery because it is dangerous and a "ticking time bomb". Owner did not care because he will not lose any money on his side to make right if the battery company won't.. yet chooses to only exclusively sell these batteries (reviews for the company also state how horrible they are). Tommy is their installer and the only reason this company has survived because he does the job well! Don't count on the owner making anything right or caring if your car catches on fire though! The work they perform is decent enough, but they have shady sales tactics. They pulled the bait and switch on me. I got a quote for the new speakers with install and sound deadening in my doors. Got the quote and came back for my scheduled appointment several days later. Only guess what, the price I was originally quoted did NOT include the sound deadening. If I wanted that I was going to have to pay extra. Shady business practice here. If use go to sound depot and get a quote from them, make sure you get everything written down as specific as possible. read more

Do not go here. You will thank me for the warning. Here's my saga: It was my birthday so I decided to treat myself to a huge upgrade on my car audio system. The current system in my vehicle was decent (THX) but stock and I like to rock :). I decided to go all out. First I went to Stereo Shoppe up on Fairview and was told they only did home audio systems anymore. They referred me to Sound Depot on Chinden (must have been a friend). I picked out the most expensive deck they had (included navigation, XM, Bluetooth, etc), a 7-channel amp, and new speakers. My bill was over $1700. Right away I was disappointed. I was told I'd have to wait a couple weeks to get my system installed. I figured they must be busy and that was a good sign. Finally my day arrived and I dropped my car off. I had to pay for an Uber to take me back to my office that morning. The entire day went by and I received no word on the progress of my installation. Finally right before 5pm I received a phone call from one of the installers. He said they did not have the necessary parts to install my system on hand. He had, "Googled it". I thought it was odd that he had zero experience with my make and model and had to research it. I mean.. this is what he does. I had to pay for another ride to pick up my car. When I arrived at the shop I was given another installation date another couple of weeks out. So a month after I had selected my system I arrived again at the shop to have my system installed finally. When I picked the car up I immediately noticed the sound quality was horrible. I tried to make a phone call using my new deck only to find that I could hear others but they could not hear me. Again I took my vehicle back to the shop. I explained the issues I was experiencing. Turns out they forgot to connect the microphone. I was told I would have to wait to get it repaired. WTF?! Naturally.. I argued and they agreed to take it the next morning. I arrived the next morning at the agreed time to find the techs smoking pot. They seemed surprised to see me. I had to pay for another ride to the office. Let it be known: I have no beef with smoking pot as long as you are a functional person not accepting my money while screwing up repeatedly. These guys clearly could not afford the handicap. Just saying. Got my car back and the phone worked. I still thought the stereo sounded worse then when I brought it in. At this point it was pretty clear to me I'd have to cut my losses and get a professional to fix it properly. Only a day later I found that whenever I would tap any button on the deck's screen an extremely loud screeching sound was output to the speakers. I had no choice but to take my vehicle back to Sound Depot yet again. I was told that the deck must be defective. As luck would have it I had been sold the show room floor model and would have to wait for a replacement to arrive. That's nice. The replacement was installed. Here we are a couple months since I first walked into their shop. I took my car to Aspen Sound to have the equipment properly installed. More money, more time. They showed me how my amp had not been installed correctly. Some wires were not even stripped correctly and speakers were not even working (explaining the horrible sound quality). I asked that they turn on the XM radio while they were in there. Wouldn't you know it??! Sound depot forgot to attach the satellite radio antenna. read more

I received the finest customer service that one could only fantasize about. Being a disabled veteran, my budget was pretty tight. So Tommy nipped a little here, and tucked a tad there .....and KABOOM!!! I'm rocking an infotainment system with a 10 inch screen, as well as remote start! I received the best customer service I think I've ever had at Sound Depot. First, a man named Brian honored a deal I was promised by the dealership I bought my car from, even though the shady dealership never actually called Sound Depot to make such a deal. They installed my stereo with no problems. Several months later, in a fit of early-morning rage at my car's control panel, I put my boot through it. Immediately afterword, my stereo stopped working. So I went to Sound Depot and told Brian that same story. Not only did he come out and fix my stereo immediately (no appointment made), but he offered me a brand new copy of my same stereo in case mine was broken, absolutely free. I was so shocked to see a 1 star rating for this place, I built a Yelp account solely to give Sound Depot a 5 star rating. They earned it. read more
