Went in to get my car wired for a 4x4 4 prong trailer that they wired. Contacted them about doing my car wiring as well. They said they would order wiring for my car and would give me a call when they got it in. A couple months went by and I got side tracked with other projects but never received a call about wiring coming in. Figured I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and go in again and schedule a new appointment. Was surprised when they said they could schedule me for Friday at 8:00am and would be done at 12:00. Was excited to get the car done for my trailer project. After leaving about 2 hours later got a text oh we can't do the job anymore we don't have the right equipment. Great why couldn't u say that when I came in or checked before I left and scheduled an appointment. Went to Orileys and got wiring and figured it out for my vehicle took about 1-1/2 to finish wanted the convince and well installed wiring but was shook then they said they can't do a simple wiring job. What else can't they do would not go back again. Trailer wiring was done alright so I won't complain there but I'd find somewhere else to go if you can't do it yourself. read more

Came in for a 5k lb hitch for my '94 Chevy 1500. Owner "Bill" seemed pretty direct, less centered towards customer service, which I don't mind as long as the product fits and works. They charged me $318 for it when the U-Haul in nampa quoted me $230. Only bough from them due to the hour and a half round trip drive to Nampa I didn't want to make. Awful mistake! Went to return it after installing it (didn't even drive the truck after install, so no wear just a few smudges of dirt, and a missing carriage bolt. On the phone, Bill stated it would be a 15% restocking fee, which was a lot, but acceptable wince the bitch had been on the truck already and needed to be cleaned. When I came in however, he looked at it, asked me if it was installed, then told me he'd only give me $150 back. I had the hitch for 48 hours and it was missing a $2 carriage washer from Industrial Hardware. Quite literally scammed the hell out of me. BEWARE!! read more

Recently had a flat-tow (roadmaster nighthawk) hitch, lighting diode kit and brake system installed for our Jeep and RV. To put it simply, we are extremely pleased with the results. Bill listened Intently when I explained what I wanted, had great feedback and didn't miss a detail when I added a Coachlink wireless indicator to the braking system. To quote another review, Bill IS "direct", but given my background and preference for folks that are straight-shooters, we got along quite well. I had a Blue Ox baseplate (tow plate), a Demco Stay-in-Play Duo Braking System with remote and LED tail light wiring installed on my Jeep Grand Cherokee in August 2021. Bill (owner) is knowledgeable and his prices are fair. On my appointment day for install, they had me in and out the same day as promised. The installer was very friendly and was eager to show me EVERYTHING step by step for hooking up my Jeep to be safely towed by my Class A RV. The installation included LED braking light wiring, the emergency disconnect for runaway vehicle and the wiring plug in the Jeep grill. I must say it was super-clean looking. Stopped by to order a hitch receiver for my car. Found one that fit my car but it was on back order. Was told it would take a couple weeks and since no other place in town had it I went ahead and ordered it. Put down a $100 deposit. Got a call about a week later that it had arrived and to drop off the car for the install. Dropped it off at 0900 and it was ready at noon. The receiver was installed perfectly, no damage done to the car. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Let me start off by first saying I can't comment on the quality of work because we never got that far but rather my unpleasant dealing with Major Tire & Hitch. I called a couple weeks ago to have a tow hitch ball and wiring for the hitch signal lights be installed. I was quoted approximately $159.00 for the job and approximately 1.5 hours to do the work. I asked if I could wait as I didn't have a ride and was told "he didn't want anyone hanging out in his showroom with COVID 19", which made sense. I explained I would reschedule when a ride came available. I called couple weeks later explained I had called earlier and what work I wanted done and scheduled a time for 10am the following Monday. I show up at 10am, explained who I was and told the work would cost about $460.00 and I was dumbfounded. I explained what his initial quote was and he responded "there was no way he quoted me that amount". I reluctantly agreed to go ahead with the work and he explained the job would be completed around 2pm, 3 hours longer than what he quoted. I told him he quoted 1.5hrs which was why I offered to wait in the first place and had my wife schedule time off work for this appointment. He said there was no way he quoted me that timeframe at which point I told him to forget the job I changed my mind. These guys have exceeded my expectations. I called yesterday to schedule an appointment to get a hitch put on my car. The guy asked me quickly what kind of car I had and what I was using the hitch for, and had a quote for me within 30 seconds. The quote was more reasonable than the dealer and U-Haul (I was on hold with U-Haul for 20 minutes and when they finally answered, she could not give me an exact quote or even figure out what I needed). The man at Major Tire & Hitch told me to come today at 1 and they could have it ready by 5. Well, I was on that side of town and done with my errands so I stopped by early. It was a little before 12:30. He asked if I had a ride and I said no, that my kids and I were going to eat our lunches in their waiting area, they were going to play some games they brought, and if it got to be too much waiting for them, I would call Uber to take us home until it was done. The guy said they were ahead of schedule and he would help me out. I kid you not, he came over and said it was ready before we were even done eating.
