Due to travel time constraints, we took the old battery back to the Advance Auto Parts store in Hesperia, CA to get the core charge refund. Even showing the receipt to the clerk, when they scanned the receipt, the core charge didn't pull up, thus they could not issue a refund...because guess what...Advance Auto Parts has a GLITCH in their system. So now Advance Auto Parts computer problem is my problem and I can't get a refund. After several calls to customer service, they offered to send me a $22 check for the refund which I refused. I told her, you already got your money....why should I have to wait for my money. Again, a few more calls and we were able to take the battery back to the Hesperia location and get $22 cash refund. Note, our drivers license was scanned in order to get the refund. With all of the cyber breaches happening...another reason why NOT TO PURCHASE anything from Advance Auto Parts. How many people are in the same situation as we were buying something with a core charge and returning the core to a different store and not being able to get a refund. This cost us time and gas money!! REALLY. Advance Auto Parts has LOST my business.

I decided that I would have them put them on because I had this bright idea that I needed to be on a plan where if for whatever reason I got a flat they would fix it for free. Well big mistake, they had my husband waiting for over three hours to mount them and then to add to aggravation they ruined my rims. Not just one or two, all of them. Completely scratched and chipped them and they had the nerve to say that they were already in that state. I didn't realize that I needed to take a picture prior getting service to make sure my property got returned in the same state that it was given. I am so upset at them and specially at myself for knowing better than to take a car to a place that doesn't specialize in this type of work. Never again. Just don't do it, save yourself the headache and the frustration.

Every time he hit about 40mph, the oil cover/skid plate would eventually hit the ground. The only thing noted on his paperwork is that the skid plate was damaged. Very general. Who doesn't have a little damage to their skid plate. Nothing was explained to him that there could be any safety hazard when he picked his car up. We took the car back. They said they secured it, but 3 bolts were missing. This was not noted anywhere when he first picked his car up after the oil change. And, of course, they won't be taking any responsibility for their negligence. Wal-Mart may be in the business of car care. But. Do they really care?

I lost power and was stuck on the side of HWY 395. Waiting for a tow truck and being far from home I went to Yelp to find a mechanic and yet again Yelp did not let me down. Hundreds of 5 star reviews, for good reason. I called and Jeremy picked up right away, was courteous, professional and told me to have the tow truck bring it down and they will prioritize it bc im a traveller, he said he'll having me up and going in no time, unless it was a catastrophic failure. So even though id be passing by many other shops on the way in I knew this is the place I had to go. I was met by Brett with a smile and a firm handshake at the shop and immediately he grabbed his scan tools and said lets go check it out! Wow! Long story short, his expertise immediately led him to the culprit, a loose battery terminal! To think, all this caused by such a seemingly innocuous problem. How many techs would have solved that issue so quickly I thought, and what would they cost me in time and money to solve it. He told me to drive around a bit, and see if the issue came back, and if not, take care and safe travels! I tried to follow him into the building and pay him for his time and expertise, I was truly thankful. He told me not to worry about it, if I knew people from the area to send them their way.
